Came here twice and we both fell in love. Decided to purchase the pass! You will need to go across the street from the dog park to the Nature Center office to purchase your pass. As of today I was charged $6 for parking and $59 total $65 The park is filled with awesome friendly dogs (minus this one black dog that loves to play "rough" and seems like a lot of paw parents are aware of this specific dog!) I'm not a fan! Since the owner knows about it but continues to bring their dog here! As far as the small dog area it's pretty big compared to other dog parks near by! Parking will be on the side (there aren't any parking spaces like a lot) just along the park.

Lots of friendly dogs and owners. Visited the park on a Monday evening. Park closes at 8pm on weekdays, but the rangers or park workers rally everyone to start leaving around 7:20pm. Plenty of trash bags for cleaning up after your pets and plenty of tennis balls for your dogs.

Ever since we rescued a dog in July of 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, we've been taking River to this dog park at least once a week. On some weekends, we go several times a day! This dog park is located inside El Dorado Park, an urban oasis in Long Beach. There are lots of paths outside the dog park, but you must keep your dog on a leash. Many owners don't follow this rule, but they usually have tame dogs. Even though you have to pay for parking, the dog park amenities are well worth the cost. I frequently see volunteers or paid staff cleaning the fields, and even the small dog side offers plenty of space for your active dog to run and play fetch. The owners are always friendly, and I've met great friends at this park. Parking is plentiful, but you have to fight for parking with all the park visitors. Parking is $8 anywhere inside the park, and it makes a lot of sense to buy an annual parking pass for $60. You can even apply the parking fee you paid on the day of your purchase toward the cost.

This is my favorite dog park to take our dog to. It has grass unlike other dog parks which only has dirt, and the owners here (for the most part) seem to be responsible for their dogs. This dog park is just a small part of a much larger recreational park that many people like to take photos, walk around, and have picnics at. There's a small dog side and a big dog side, and they have poo bags for you in case you forgot yours. Note we usually do see a couple stray pops not picked up by irresponsible owners, so watch your step. Admission is about $5-$8, depending on the day you go (more expensive on weekends and holidays), or you can get an annual pass for about $65. Parking is ok. There's plenty of spots but you will most likely have to parallel park and the closer spots are usually taken.

Lots of pine trees, beware of tree sap!

Clean, ample dog park. 2 sides: one for large dogs and one for small dogs (under 25lbs). Grassy and lots of trees, but BEWARE OF TREE SAP. My poor guy came back home with goo in his paw pads. You do have to pay for parking. It was $8 on a Sunday. Worth the fee if you're planning to stick around and go on a paved walk/bike around the huge El Dorado Park, but wish there were a "dog park only" partial fee option. If I were local, I'd invest in the season pass. Parking was available upon making a left from the booth in what appears to be an archery area of the park. Would return to make a day of it!

After many of years passing by while on 605 south I always wondered about the park on my right. Well I discovered an awesome dog park within El Dorado Park. To entry there is a fee and fee changes upon the day you go please keep that in mind and carry at least 10 dollars. It is not $10.00 on the days I went like on a Tuesday we paid $6.00 on a Friday I is $7.00 I also went on a weekend and paid $8.00 dollars but honestly.it is so worth it. This is truly a hidden gem. !!!! The dog park is on your right once you pass the pay station. There is no parking near this area. However , there is parking throughout park ahead. Location: El Dorado East Regional Park, Area II, Southeast Corner Hours: Fall / Winter 7 a.m.- 5p.m. Nov 1- Feb 28 Spring / Summer 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. Mar 1 - Oct 31 Closed for maintenance every Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Size: 1.5 acres Dog Park Home Page & Park Rules The 1.5-acre off-leash dog park is the first dog park in northeast Long Beach. It is Ada Accessible has double-gate entry, separation between large and small dog areas, a drinking fountain, benches and waste bag dispensers. The dog park opened on February 8, 2014. I have been living here in LA County and never knew of this hidden gem. The dog park can be accessed by using the Spring Street entrance for El Dorado East Regional Park.

The Absolute best dog park we have been to!! Peanut is a Mini-Dachshund and this is his favorite place to come to. All dogs are usually very playful and well socialized. dogs are separated by size. There are several donated water bowls throughout the park. As well as water faucets for dogs and humans. Yes you do you have to pay to enter the park but it is a small fee. Or there is free parking less than a block away very close where you can park and walk to the dog park section at no charge. Peanut is a very small dog but it's not always the smallest at the park. Most of the time the humans are very much on top of their dog as they should be Taking care of them and making sure they are playing properly with other dogs. Overall it's just a great park. I have a Season parking pass which is available at a discount.

Loving bringing my wiener dog here. It's located inside El Dorado Park. They have a park for small dogs as well as big dogs. Everyone is always friendly and works together to keep the parks clean, donate dog bowls, and even poop bags. The only down fall is parking. You would think I would be use to paying for parking (5ish bucks) being in Long Beach but I'm not...most of the time I'll just walk 2 miles, but by the time I get there my dog is too tired to run with all the other dogs. The gates are secured nicely and the have a water fountain for give fresh water to the pups. Oh and they actually have grass and trees unlike a lot of other dog parks that are have been run down.

The Friends of El Dorado Dog Park is a recently opened dog park facility located within the confines of El Dorado Park Regional East off of Spring St. The park is large and spacious with a separate park for both small and larger dogs. The small dog section is for all dogs 25 pounds or less while the large dog side is for anything bigger. I have only been to this park once thus far with my wife but I was immediately struck by how nice it looks. Everything from the upkeep of the grass to the facility itself is quite nice. The park has a dispenser for dog bags as well as a water fountain prior to walking into the main gate entrance and trash cans lining the outside perimeter of the fence which can easily be accessed from inside the park. Please be courteous and pick up after your pets. Being located within the regional park means that the upkeep should be maintained well and not fall to the wayside like some other parks unfortunately suffer from. You do have to pay for parking which is one negative however a pass for frequent visitors is also available and would be well worth the investment (we recently procured one ourselves for our future visits). All of the dog owners I encountered seemed really low key and generally stayed close and paid attention to their respective pets and surroundings which was nice to see. The park does suffer from some gopher holes already but being as its in regional park grounds it is only natural for other living beings to also inhabit the surrounding areas. This is the fourth dog park in the area I have been to and it is already my favorite of the bunch. I am sure we will be back many times to come with our pups.

Yay!!! I have been to quite a few dog parks over the years, and over the years I started getting burnt out on some. The size being too small, the crabby people who came, some who didn't watch their dogs but were rude with you if THEIR dog did something to yours, etc.... I was limiting myself to only one dog park at this point that I loved, and it's not the closest to my home. While I will still continue to be a regular there, I am very happy to know that El Dorado has opened one! The small and big dogs are separated at this park like most, but both sides have a decent sized park, where at some the small dog sides are tiny. Lots of grass here, trees because you are at the park, etc... Trashcans are all outside the park, but against the fence so its easy to throw the poop bags away from the inside. There is one water fountain, but it's located literally right outside the gate so it's easy to get water for the pups. There was a dog bowl inside the small side but I'm not sure if that is for the park or if someone brought it. I guess I will find out on another visit. However, you may want to bring your own just in case. I also recommend bringing your own doggy poop bags, because there is only one dispenser on the outside and it was empty. Luckily I always do anyways just in case, and also because my one dog has a habit of pooping before we even get inside the park. I loved all the park surroundings, trees, and the spacious sized park. I am able to walk around and my dogs get lots of exercise. The dogs weren't crowded at all and all enjoyed themselves. A con.... since it's at El Dorado park, they will charge you parking if you go inside. Mon-Thurs is $5, Fridays are $6, and weekends are $7. I decided that since I will attempt to go here regularly like I do the other dog park, (although this isn't the closest for me either), that I may as well splurge for the $60 annual parking pass. Seniors get it for $35. It's worth the money if you plan to go often. Also this now motivated me to take some much needed long walks that I have not done in a long time. There really isn't anywhere for me or the pups to walk where I live. Thank you El Dorado for opening up a dog park!

And we do have a go-to dog park for occasions like this, but given an all-day free Saturday, I thought about checking out a new place. And that's how we found this spot. It is what most Yelpers say what it is: small. Prime (my fur baby) is more used to one of those large dirt and grass kinda areas. He enjoyed it anyway since he met new fur-friends and got to play with them for a bit. It worked out even better since my cousin met us there to bring his fur baby to a dog park for the very first time. This was a good first run for him - I figure it a good idea start him out in a small area to see how how reacts with other dogs and mostly so he doesn't get too overwhelmed. From the looks of it, it's safe to say that enjoyed his very first dog park run. Doggy bags and water fountains are provided for both pups and hoomans alike. There are also benches available. Parking is available, both private and street. It is very well maintained, but as small as it is, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. Alas, as nice and clean as it is, we probably won't be back. It just isn't big enough for my pup to run around. However! If you and your pup are more into just chillin', then this is the place.

The park is easy to get to. you just take the exit, turn right, and there's a parking lot right there. The parking costs $8, but be warned! there's no cash accepted. Make sure to have a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay ready, because the line was pretty slow when I went, and it took almost 10 minutes just to get into the park. Once inside, I was impressed by how beautiful the park was! April was a fantastic time to visit. The grass was lush and green, and the whole atmosphere was really relaxing. I'm not sure if it stays this way year-round, but in April, it was really pristine. I loved how there are special areas for parties. you can reserve them online and they also have spots for grilling and even pitching your own tent. However, I was a bit disappointed with the bathroom situation. For $8 parking, the restrooms were really dirty. I also noticed a few homeless individuals wandering around, and one person was using the restroom for a very long time, which made it even more unpleasant. The city or management really needs to step up if you're charging for parking, you need to ensure better services, like cleaner restrooms or even some water fountains. On the bright side, the kids' playground was really nice, and the park overall felt clean, especially along the trails. I loved that you can bring a bike or rent one, and the trail was perfect for a relaxing ride. So, big shoutout to the staff and management for keeping the park clean overall, but please, if you're charging for parking, improve the bathroom facilities. I'd definitely come back for the scenery, but I hope the logistics get better!

He really enjoyed all the squirrels and birds around the lake, though there are a ton of goose droppings to dodge while you walk.
