My daughter and I attend a birthday party at Heritage Park. It was a Sunday afternoon with people celebrating birthdays or to enjoy a day out relaxing at the park. My friend had made a reservation for Section 1 area for her son's birthday. She was expecting a lot of friends to attend. It was a perfect spot because there were plenty of benches with tables for everyone. The small pond with ducks, turtles, and fishes were exciting to see along with unique slides at the playground. A large basketball court is available to shoot some hoops or play a game with friends. I'm assuming this park is historic due to the theme of Paul Revere. Interesting statues were displayed with a little bit of history. Good park to visit with friends and family.

One of my favorite parks. It's serene, therapeutic, and expansive. The only thing to be mindful of... "duck poop everywhere" they are adorable, but just proceed with caution.

Not a lot has changed since I used to come to this park when I was little. The play areas that are in the cottage house are mostly closed aside from one of them. The park was kinda dirty given the geese that are there, they poop everywhere . They don't really like dogs so be careful when bringing your little dogs. The place needs a major lift up because of rotting wood and chipped paint. But it was nice to go back and see this park 20+ years later. We had gone during memorial Day weekend and it was not to busy. There were no people popping up the canapys and their volleyball nets. The gazebos and tables filled fast with family's. The minus one star because it was really really first trash and confetti laying around everywhere, it is very hard to enjoy a park with many groups taking pictures on the trails and walkway, sometimes you just had to take that they will be in your picture

Really fun. Watch out for giant goose poop. Nice to see geese and turtles. Lots of play structures to climb. Lots of picnic area. Little play island is closed Tuesday mornings till 2

We came early enough to park nearby in the neighborhood. We're sitting up front with an uninstructed view of the stage. One drummer, 3 guitars. And a keyboard player harmonized to Beach Boys and other surf songs. Familiar music, lots of fun.

I have passed by this citypark so many times and wonder exactly what it was about. Then while looking at my Yelp app, I saw a couple of the people I follow from Orange county had gone here and given it great reviews. I had to swing by Walmart, so made a beeline to stop at this park. I'm so glad I did! I was totally enthralled by this park, and would imagine that a child would be even more so. It's absolutely lovely. The best part is it's like a little mini Boston! There's a statue of Paul Revere and as you follow the path it's like going through the city on the midnight ride of Paul Revere. There is a lovely little lake with wateralls and bridges, both covered and uncovered. There are miniature buildings with climbers and stairs inside and slides that let you exit the building. There's even a little town with a tea shop and a cobbler. That was temporarily closed, but we looked in and saw that you could climb up and come out of a slide. You can cross a bridge and go on to a little ship, and there are cannons everywhere. Surrounding the body of water are geese and ducks who are not even a little bit afraid of humans. We literally walked right through them and they didn't give us a second look. There's a separate playground and several covered tables. There are public restrooms and a separate place that can be rented for parties. This has to be a play paradise for kids! So glad my Yelp friends' experiences here popped up!

This park is so cute! Perfect for photo shoots. Beautiful atmosphere, good for all ages. This park is also right down the street feom the Cerritos library. Definitely worth visiting

I have lived in the area for close to 20 years, in Artesia 3 years and Cerritos 10 years but still live locally. This park is special to my family and I. A lot of great memories have happened in this park, not to mention the annual 4th of July fireworks show across the street at The High School. This is a great location for photography, weddings, Quiinceaneras, proms, lots of professional photography happens here. There is also a lovely playground for kids, several club rooms and shelters for rent and just all around a beautiful park! This park is home to lots of turtles, ducks and fish. Kids will love it and there is lots of water, even on top of the park with a lovely waterfall. Now I wanted to address the reviews mentioning the duck poop. When I read that I got a kick out of it. Where do you expect the turtles and ducks to poop at? Should they wear diapers or do you expect the park staff to open a bathroom for them or to potty train them? Seriously the mentioning of duck poop is one of the funniest things I've read. I've been to this park so many times, recently actually and I have never seen tons of duck poop anywhere, at all. I will make sure to look around for it next time I'm here but I doubt there is as much as stated in these reviews. I also noticed those posting about the duck poop haven't actually posted photos of the poop itself, hmmmm. It's a beautiful, clean and well maintained park. You can come relax, enjoy the playground with your kids or have a picnic or barbecue. It's amazing!

The park is nice, and learning about the history of the area adds to the experience. It's fascinating to read the posted information and understand what happened there. The park has a rich past, which makes exploring it even more interesting. I enjoyed my visit; however, I went with my kids, and it's advertised as a playground with slides and open spaces for them to run and play. Unfortunately, that was not the case all the slides and activities for kids were closed off, leaving them with nothing to do except run around. So, if you're visiting mainly to explore and learn about the history, it's great, but if you're bringing children expecting a fun play area, they may end up disappointed. Consider yourself warned!

Truly love this park so much, it's so spacious but also such a nice walk through!! I love coming here for picnics.

Ask the Community - Heritage Park

Are the buildings on the island still closed?

    Cuanto es el costo?

    Free

    Is the playground still closed?

Signs say covid is in the area, play at your own risk. Recommend a mask.

Am I allowed to have a wedding ceremony? I'm only having 10 people. Just saying I do, taking pics and leaving. We're not doing vows Infront of people.

I'm sure you can. Several families go to take picture when girls have their sweet 15(quinceañera).

Do you have to pay for parking?

No. Parking is free. First come first serve though.

    Can you bring dogs?

I believe just like other (human) parks, you have to put your dog on a leash.

I wanna have a my son a birthday party do they allow jumpers or waterslides ? And do I have to do a reservation?

You don't have to have a reservation, but you should make one because you may not have a table otherwise. As to waterslides etc. I doubt they are allowed because of insurance issues, but call them. I have never seen one there.

Do they have grills there, or is it best to bring my own for a bbq?

    They have grills there

    No, it's free!

If that makes you happy you can.

Are dogs allowed in the park?

    Yes

Do I have to call to make a reservation to have an event here like a baby shower?

No you just have to secure a table it's a huge park if you and the fam get there early you should be okay !

Are we allowed to take our own tables and grill?

We brought tables this weekend, so that is for sure fine! I saw no signs against grills, so I think it would be okay.

Is it suitable if i taking picture for my kid? Any good view?

yes there are some nice spots for photos.

Can I rent this for a family photoshoot? Can someone help

You are allowed to go have family photo shots you don't need any permission
