I love bringing my dog here, the other dog owners are nice and friendly. The park is clean, there is plenty if shadey areas for the dogs to lie down, water fountains, and lots of room. I never have any issues bringing my dog here. I will admit the parking is awful. I'm lucky enough to be able to walk from my apartment. If you have to drive here, check the other reviews for parking tips!

Clean and beautiful! Plenty of stations with doggy trash bags and enough benches to sit while your babies play. Small dog side is closest to Union street but keep walking around and you'll get to the large dog side. Parking is limited but there is a loading zone at the dead end of the street where you can stay for 2hours or less. Went at 9am and it was empty other than one person and her dog. Cute park would come again!

I didn't know this dog park existed, BUT SO HAPPY there's finally one close to my house. Nice and clean park with water fountains and obstacle courses for the dogs! Fake grass and newly planted trees and shrubs around, so no shade here :( that's the only drawback! But I'm sure once the trees grow taller, there will be lots of shady areas. Sooo I wouldn't come here when it's above 75 degrees because the sun hits hard and there's no breeze/wind because of the large complex buildings surrounding it. Your dogs would not like it =( The water fountains also shoot out warm water on hot days, not cold water. There are a couple benches on each of the dog sides (small and large). And also each side has two dog poo bag dispensers (one at each of the two entrances on each side). There isn't much street parking right next to the park if you're coming from State College Blvd to Artisan Ct. But there is a parking lot next to the park, where you can access it from Orangewood and State College Blvd (next to Wells Fargo plaza) that allows you to park right next to the dog park behind the wall. There is an open pedestrian sidewalk to use to get to the dog park next to the locked gate. (BEWARE there are signs in the parking lot that says No Pets Allowed! though) There's a half basketball court and exercising equipment next to the dog park also. And a small open grass area.

Loving bringing my baby Capri to this park. All the pups are nice and the park is very clean. At night they have lights too. We love coming here all the time

Cute large and small dog play areas with some agility toys in each. There's only faux lawn but shrubs are planted along fence line with mulch. Bring doggy bags because dispensers seem to empty out quickly.

My dog playing with a poodle. They park is turd and the sides are sand.

It's just me and my small(15 lbs) dog. He's extremely chill, friendly, and we've never had any problems at any other dog parks. When we tried to get in, there was a dog barking and sniffing at the gate where you walk in. She didn't seem too aggressive but I didn't want her to get out, so I waited for the owner. The owner came over and called her name, got them away enough so I could open the gate and walk in. I was kinda distracted and starting to take my dog's leash off when the other dog lunged, barked, and snapped at my dog immediately after we entered. My dog was whining and scared, I had to pick him up physically and bring him more into the park because there were so many dogs surrounding us and no one was stepping in. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt so I decided to stay. The woman left right after and she talked with a gentleman on the outside of the gate. I heard her say something like "I'm always worried about new dogs coming in" and "She can sense my stress" implying her dog has reactivity issues. And she was expecting something to happen but didn't physically pick up her dog. It's an off-leash public park so dogs should ideally be comfortable with new arrivals. My dog was chill and friendly the rest of the time, but I followed him because I felt the other owners being very inconsiderate. Then another dog consistently followed my dog and tried to hump him and I kept having to get in the middle. This dog was significantly bigger than mine and I could tell my dog was uncomfortable but the owner sat on the bench and did nothing. This was honestly when I grew too frustrated and decided to leave. I also noticed a large dog jump over the fence into the parking lot while I was there. The park itself is clean and spacious, but supervision and owner awareness seemed inconsistent during my visit. I may return at a quieter time, but small-dog owners may want to stay especially alert.

The small dog area is spacious enough - Panini had a great time with ten other dogs during one visit. I also like that there are trees in this dog park! It gives some shade and obstacles for them. I have a few reasons for why I gave this four stars. First, it's in a somewhat busy intersection in Anaheim. Lots of cars driving around, with honking and sirens in the background. Second, when it rains they close the park down for several days, even though the ground has clearly dried after a day out in the sun. I hope the city of Anaheim can be a bit faster next time I'm opening their park. Lastly, the parking. It's basically just side streets along a very busy road with cars that speed for no great reason (thank you California). The parking lot for La Palma park has been closed due to reconstruction, so it's very inconvenient. Parking becomes nonexistent on weekends when there is a game at the baseball field nearby.

It wasn't my favorite because I don't like all the dirt even though it's good for the dogs to run on they end up getting much more dirtier than any other place that would have grass. Also there's two sections in the small dog area that had big dips and the dogs would run in but because there was no drainage when it rains they filled them with jagged small rocks. Now I see most dogs don't go in those areas because I think the rocks hurt their paws. I think the idea of the park is good enough but over the years you can tell it's been suffering in maintenance. I prefer La Palma dog park 10 minutes away because it's mostly grass and it's bigger.

Also, the small-dog area looks to be a bit nicer and offer more shade. Next, The Bad: across 2 visits within the same week I've seen at least one person each time, either watch or be told that their dog pooped and do absolutely nothing about it. Ironically enough, a different person talking to each the offending dog owners, went around picking up dog poop that wasn't their own dogs. Really weird extremes by patrons, ranging from "I don't care" to "I'll clean up after everyone." It'd be better if everyone just payed attention and did their part, or was at least receptive to others letting them know about it. Also, there's a clique-y vibe at certain times, so take that for what it's worth.

Both sections have bench and table seating, as well as sand and fake grass/turf all around for the dogs to run around in and do their business on. The parks are well maintained and we haven't had any issues at either park, other than little flies that fly around us during humid or warm weather. We also found that the small dog park has a little more shade than the large dog park. All in all, my dog loves it here, even though the dogs can be a little antisocial sometimes and just stick around their owners (like mine).
