I've been coming here almost every other day for my dog and safe to say every time I went, there are plenty of dogs. Nice big area, friendly dogs, lots of parking slots, and benches available to sit. My only issue is with the apple maps stating the park is closed even when it actually isn't. I took the chance to drive up one day despite it saying closed, and it was in fact opened. So I normally ignore what it says on the maps but it'd be great if it was updated accordingly. Other than that, love the park and the people! read more

Another one of my go-to off leash dog parks. It's a huge field with real grass, so it's perfect for dogs that like to run. There are 2 large dog areas that they alternate for maintenance. And there's an area for small dogs too. Keep in mind that there is no shade except this one hugs beautiful tree in the corner. There's also a few benches and lawn chairs throughout, for the humans to sit on. One of the things I like most about this is that thy keep well maintained. There is even a doggy vending machine, for last minute necessity. Also, there are separate gates for coming in and going out... which I know may seem like a small thing, but comes in really handy. I always make it a point to come here with the dogs when I'm in the area. Definitely a 10/10. read more

There are plenty of fun, pups and cordial pup owners, and lots of space for dogs to have their Zumiez for the most part owners look at their dog when they are doing their business, but sometimes I catch them not looking after their pups. This dog park overall is okay. There's separate areas for big dogs and small dogs. Plenty of room in both areas for dogs to run around and play with other dogs. There's a water station, benches, poop bags and trash cans. The key is knowing when to go. Weekday mornings aren't the best due to there's certain dogs that always go at that time that harass other dogs, at least that's our experience in the big dog area. As a local, I love bringing my fur babies here! It's like a social club for pugs and their humans. This cute little park is perfect for letting my pups burn off all that pent-up energy from waiting at home all day while I'm at work. The prime time for maximum doggie action is around 5 to 6 PM. We always take our dogs to local dog parks in the area when we are traveling and this dog park in Orange County is probably one of the best we've been to!! They have both large and small gated dog parks available for use. When we arrived, there were approximately 15 dogs in the large dog park and none in the small park, so we took our (small/medium) dogs to the large dog park. The park is a very, very large space covered in all grass, which is refreshing as our dog parks up north mainly all have bark and no grass. There is ample seating scattered throughout the park for dog owners and a large area for dogs to drink fresh water. Us and our dogs loved it here! read more

Our Sam is a relatively-small pup (21#) so we go to the small-dog area. He has so much fun! The other humans are, for the most part, very responsible and courteous, and the other small dogs are so funny to watch, as they play, run, and chase balls each other as well! The only problem is that it is -- REASONABLY -- closed on Wednesdays for maintenance, and we can't take our boy there! read more

I think this place is great for what they provide. The smol dog side is half dirt half grass with an opening on the far side to continue onto a trail that circles the rest of the park. They have vending machines with items for both humans and doggos. Large enough parking lot to accommodate everyone there. The side for the larger dogs is 90% grass with a small patch of dirt where a majority of the seating is due to the large tree nearby providing shade. Otherwise not a lot of other trees for the dogs to sit under. Actually kind of interesting, they have another 3rd area that is sectioned off which is additional space for the large dogs. A lot of people/dogs here in the early morning ~10am. No issues with other dogs being aggressive or owners not paying attention. Plenty of bench seating for people to utilize as needed. We have been coming to this dog park since 2007. It's changed many times and it's still here. Wishing that eventually they will half fake grass it and also attempt to reseed and make half real grass but I guess the dogs don't care either way. Just can't bring your dog here after a grooming (unless you don't mind mud and dirt) bring a towel for your dog and keep in car to wipe them off. Great spot with community folks. There are restrooms and there was a snack vending machine but it had recently gotten vandalized so not sure did that option is still available. Most owners have control over there dogs and I have not seen any aggressive dogs recently. If your pooch needs to blow off some energy this is the spot. Separate areas for larger and smaller dogs. Lots of parking and people so y stay for long so there is a constant flow. Bring your furry friend. read more

I recently started taking my dog here a few months back. There are two parks open at one time: one for the large dogs and one for small dogs. They have poop bags and water available for you to use. It's a really great place with great dogs. I like going in the early mornings because owners are more attentive about watching their dogs. Plus it's nice and cool before the sun comes out. There isn't much shade except for one big tree in one of the larger dog parks (there's two for large dogs and one is open at a time)! I've been to the before-dinner crowd and wasn't as satisfied with my experience. Overall, it's a great place to bring your pup! NOTE: IT'S CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS FOR CLEANING. I have driven here twice on a Wednesday not realizing this. read more

I've only been here once and it was my first dog park but my Corgi Cheech and I had a very positive experience. This park is huge. It has one large open field and two smaller enclosed fields (one for big dogs and one for small dogs). I unfortunately came on a somewhat rainy day and the smaller enclosed play areas were closed. I was told by a local that they close on rainy days when it's flooded and Wednesdays so be aware ya'll. I did take advantage of the big open field as were many pet owners. Right away Cheech met a friendly basenji named Luna. A little later Cheech met a super well behaved and friendly dog off leash named Nyla. They played very well together and I felt very pleased and happy as a fur dad. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back. P.S. I thoroughly enjoy this dog park and so do my dogs! There is ample space for dogs to spread around and run free. The grass is very short and well-maintained. There is also a small section with dirt but mainly grass. I have yet to see any poop on the ground as I've seen every owner pick up after their dogs. There are also poop bags all around. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, there aren't any trees so not that much available shade. However, there are a lot of chairs to sit on! I usually go to Olive Hills dog park, but I think I'll be going here more often since it is bigger and has more grass. I will say that Olive Hills is cleaner, but there's more dirt than (fake) grass. I think my dogs enjoy the grass more! Also, unlike Olive Hills, you get phone signal here!!! **this review is more for the dog owners that bring their dogs to this park. This is the second time my dog has a bad experience at this park! There's always misbehaved dogs in the big dog bark. All the owners care about is socializing rather than paying attention to their dogs. My dog got pounced on twice on the same day in the big dogs section. It wasn't normal dog play it was a traumatizing experience for him. One of the dogs was trying to bite my family members too. The dog owners excuse was ' that's how dogs play' After this my dog starting barking at random dogs and was afraid to get groomed :( Please watch your dogs and do not take them to a dog park if they are agressive. read more

Our furbaby loves this place. When he's ready to go, or when he's had enough, he becomes very vocal about it lol There is an area for small dogs and two areas for big dogs. For big dogs: one side has big trees and plenty of shade, as for the other side, you'd have to wait another 10 years for the trees to grow to create enough shade. They rotate the two areas weekly, I'm guessing so that they can maintain/clean the side that's closed. There are balls, water bowls, drinking fountain, lawn chairs, etc. I advise on standing versus sitting. The lawn chairs are not very clean since the pups there like to mark them. read more

Great! I feel this is as good as a standard dog park could get! Good dogs and owners, when there was a scuffle, the owners would be on top of their dogs and take them away. Often times, and surprisingly, that's not the case in other parks. Good location and really close to Irvine even though it's located in Orange. I do just wish there were more shaded areas to the park. They have two parts of the large dog park and they rotate between the two. Both lack shade but one definitely does. read more

Love this dog park! I'm so happy we found this place. Maki is only 3 months (half Aussie and half Lab) and he enjoys the large play area to run and meet new friends. Everyone who comes here is also really friendly as well. It's really clean here and everyone keeps their part to keep it clean. There is also tennis balls for you furry friends to play with. Both small dogs and large dogs have a huge play area. They have a post for you to put your leashes and also a water fountain for your pups. This is a pretty nice dog park! There is a huge open area for the pups, water, and a couple seats here and there. Thankfully, the small dogs and large dogs are in two separate areas. Outside of the enclosed area, there are little tables you can use and designated pathways for leisurely strolling. We had a great time celebrating one of our dog's birthdays recently. They ran around the park for approximately 1-2 hours and we ended up using one of the tables outside. This dog park is huge! I have been here many times with my cane corso puppy in the large dog section. This dog park is not run by the city, it is funded by donations. Plenty of parking. The grass area is very large, and there is also a big sand pit. There are trees with ample shade with chairs and benches, be careful because the dogs sometimes pee on the chairs. Also dog poop bags if you forgot yours. Closed on Wednesdays, and closes every night at 6pm because there are no lights at this park. There are water bowls available all over with jugs to fill them with, the bowls often get knocked over. What I love about this park is there are almost always plenty of dogs to play with no matter what time of day I go by. The only time I came by and there weren't many dogs here was when it was 100 degrees out. For the most part, all of the dog owners are pretty responsible, and step in pretty quickly if their dogs are acting up. I've had a couple of dogs get aggressive with my pup, but they're dogs, it happens. I usually go during off hours, there may be more fights during peak hours and on weekends. From what I am told, some dog owners that work all week and aren't able to take their dogs during the week, so they are not socialized as much and can sometimes be a little more aggressive. The breeds I see here most often are husky's, pit bulls, and German Shepard's. I believe there are a lot of meet up groups here for certain breeds, I have seen a lot of rescues playing here. Overall a great dog park for our doggie to come play, and plenty of room for fetch. Side note: The park is going to close for 6-8 months for maintenance soon. read more

This is one of my favorite dog parks. There is a separate enclosure for small dogs and large dogs. The enclosure for the big dogs has been divided into two, and only one side is open at a time. This allows for the grass on the other side to grow while it is not being used. I think that this idea is working because the grass has been much better maintained ever since the park re-opened in April 2018 with this division. Water fountain with few dog bowls are available. There are several poop bag stations. Most owners are good about picking up the poop, but there are still some poop on the ground from the few owners who don't pay attention or don't care. I guess this is inevitable. Overall, this is a very well kept park. Our two yellow labs love this place. read more
