A playground that is naturally shaded by trees - yay! That is a must in the summer. Plus they have the best most cushion-y rubber mats and 2 play structures for younger and older kids. The pirate theme is very adorable and there are 2 sections with plenty of tables next to the playground and many benches around the playground. The big rocks they have around the play structures make for fun climbing for the kids. Really love this playground! The parking lot is half-shaded by trees and if you can get a spot on the shaded side, it makes for a perfect summer day at the park! read more

this is a pretty nice park. tucked away in a residential area. there could be way more parking (and i think street parking is limited because of the residents) but it's fine. the rink is cool; there were a bunch of guys practicing while i was there and they stayed pretty late. the park area is large and the grass is well kept. there were a number of off-leash dogs and they kind of hassled me which stressed my (leashed) dog out. they encouraged me to let her go and play even though i said she is not chill. she did pretty well for the most part so that was nice! i went late at night so there weren't any kids at the park but the play area is pirate ship themed and they had three different fixtures depending on age. if i go back during the day and it's a different vibe, i'll update this review. read more

I got engaged here! Maybe I'm biased Beautiful, private park, and nicely up kept. My fiancé from out of the country decided on this park to pop the question, very farm/barn house vibes and honestly so classy. Only thing that my fiancé was disappointed was to see that you can't bring no flowers, balloons, candles, or photographers. Though the restrictions, the park allowed us to have a intimate and romantic proposal. read more

Nice, simple park. Tucked off Tustin Ranch Road with a lot of shade trees (very important for hot summer days). There is a giant pirate ship that has slides and activities to climb on. Swings to the side and an enclosed skating rink. Soft playground matting and wood shavings. Lots of cement tables and benches to sit on. There are open bathrooms too which is a plus. read more

"The pirate ship park"... this is a nice park the feels surprisingly large and secluded, given that it is packed in between houses and a major road. The park is generally free of trash, has picnic tables, grills, and trash cans. It doesn't have the most exciting playground equipment, but the pirate theme is fun for the kiddos. There is a sandpit for the babies, a small and large climbing frames (pirate ships), and a set of swings. The park also has a roller hockey court, basketball courts, and an all-purpose green that is almost flat. The bathroom house seems clean and everything works. read more

A beautiful park in Tustin with a cute little playground and a rink for skating. We stopped by here to enjoy our take out lunch. They have benches located next to the playground. Their bathrooms are fairly clean for a park. There are lots of grass for your pup to sniff and explore. It's very clean and a perfect spot to take kids. read more

Amazing park!! What a hidden gem of Tustin! Even though it's a fairly old park it has been maintained perfectly! The equipment is all functional and clean and the bathroom facilities are wonderful. We visited this park numerous times and it never feels too crowded. There is plenty of playground equipment to entertain a large group of kids. What I especially love about this playground is how there is a larger play area for bigger kids and a smaller area for toddlers. It's nice when the little ones have their own designated space. There are tons of picnic tables here! Even if there is a birthday party or two going on you can probably still snag a table. Speaking of parties, heads up, you cannot reserve the picnic tables ahead of time. They are first come, first served so if you want to host a party I suggest getting a spot early. The parking spaces are not unlimited but this has to be one of the biggest parking lots for a Tustin Park. What is helpful is that you can park on the side streets on weekends so it's easy to find a space. There are lots of trees around the parking lot as well so you have a good chance of being able to park in the shade. Definitely one of my favorite parks of Tustin :-) read more

It was covered in trees so it look like a park in middle of a sunny forest. The sight of trees and field is lovely and the park is kid-friendly. But I find it weird how the bench is near the bathroom. There are tennis court and field to play soccer too! read more

Great playground! Nice that it's on turf and wood chips, not sand like most parks around Irvine seemed to be. The bathrooms were clean and I'm working order. A great neighborhood park with a fun pirate theme structure! The kids played for over an hour on the structures--there are four different slides, two kid swings, two baby swings, and plenty of climbing opportunities. Then they ran like crazy on the nice field of grass. The picnic areas and benches were fairly clean. The tall trees and big stones in the park make it a very relaxing natural environment for adults too. read more

This park is pretty cool, because it has plenty of geese and turtles at their little lake. The only drawback is that their large playground area is actually closed right now due to covid, so that's frustrating. There are benches all around for you to relax in, and we had a fun time chasing ducks, watching the turtles, and accidentally stepping on poop. Our dog had a fun time too. Plenty of parking. There are sand pits for kids to play in. read more

I came late afternoon (4pm), so the sun was already pretty low and the trees surrounding the play area were keeping it shaded. I'm not sure if it would be shady midday, and there's no shade on the play structure so that could be annoying. It has a big and small play area which is great to keep all ages entertained. There are also infant swings and big swings There are a number of benches dotted around the park so parents can sit and watch. There are some picnic tables and BBQ areas. There's a large grassy area, perfect for lazing about on or playing frisbee with your dog. It also has a couple of basketball courts. It has (what I've now discovered is) an outdoor roller hockey rink, but when I went there were kids on skateboards inside. Same difference - both on wheels. There are toilets too. Parking is fairly small, about 20 spots. read more

Cute park. Brought my kids to play here. There is a cool pirate ship themed playground with area for different age ranges. Clean with BBQ, picnic tables and restrooms nearby. Very nice roller hockey rink, basketball courts, big grassy area for soccer practice. This is right off freeway in between some condos and town-homes. Would definitely come back again. I'm surprised this park doesn't have any reviews! I love this park for my kids. My favorite thing is the shade! Trees all around to help keep the shade. I hate the wood chips but as long as I'm not in flip flops I'm okay. It has a great pirate ship with rope ladder on one side and slide on the other. Separate Sand area for those kids or parents who don't mind the sand. Good size jungle gym. They need to make the chains longer on the 2 regular swings. My (heavy) 5.5 yrs can not get on it on his own. That would have to be my main complaint about this park. Bathrooms right there by play ground (not the cleanest but not the worst), lots of tables for parties/picnic. This park is first come first serve for parties. No reservations needed. Is has a concrete skate rink, big grass field and basketball courts. It also has a path to walk around not too big tho unless you want to run around it like 5/6 times to make it worth a good work out. I have also let me kids ride their bikes around the path while I follow. Playground good for toddlers-9 yrs old. read more

What a lovely little park with a decent-sized (and very naturally shaded!) pirate-themed playground for both the older and younger kids. The natural shading from all the surrounding large trees make visits to this park on hot days extremely bearable. Definitely a great place for playdates, birthday parties, gatherings, etc... This beautiful park has come a long way through the years. Now, it's awesome! A roller rink for roller hockey?! Lush, green grass to play around in, hilly knolls to picnic and nap on, and a nice playground! Hats off to T-Ranch keeping the grounds so nice. Clean park and seems like a nice and quiet community. Came here for the basketball courts and although they are well maintained, know that the hoops are only around 8ft tall. I'm assuming the hoops are for kids which makes it perfect for them. But if you're above the age of 10, I'd recommend the courts at Tustin Sports Park which is only a 3 minute drive from this park. read more

People come here for the pirate ship. There are 2 taller slides and 1 mid height slide on the ship. There is also a treasure chest and a small ship for smaller kids (1 slide). Overall, the utility from the ship is quite high. You can climb from the front and sides and the ship is wide enough for adults to be on it and the tall slides in the back coupled with the entrance near to the front creates a "circuit" for the kids to run around and around. Took my littles here during a hot summer day. There was a descent amount of shade for me to sit while they played. Cute pirate theme with a larger play area for 5-10 years old and a small area right next for younger toddlers. There is a small parking lot, bathrooms (though I didn't go in) and picnic tables and benches around the play area. I felt safe and didn't feel concerned with my kids running off. There IS an outdoor roller hockey rink open for public use! The rink itself is modern, well maintained and clean. To give an idea: There was rain the day before but NO signs of puddles. I was thinking about signing up for an indoor league and indoor pickup elsewhere in Irvine. While I will still consider the league, it's nice to know I can play free pickup and practice on an official pitch. One demerit: Leagues and pickup games are difficult to find and/or non-existent. Your best source for this type of information is yelp, and I have not found it to be 100% reliable. One suggestion(and one lost star): Needs a bulletin board for flyers and notices. It might be there, but I have yet to find it. Will update accordingly. The park itself has a nice rolling field and is a haven for dog owners, children and walkers. I brought my dog here for hockey. There are hills around the rink for viewing. Needless to say, he had a front row lawn seat to a game of pickup hockey. Will be back, several hundred more times. read more

This little park is a gem in the Tustin area. I have to say that most parks near my house aren't good at all, so I drive a little farther for it. It's clean, and there is a little kids and a bigger kids area. The best part for me is that is had trees around the playground so it's not directly in the sun, I can stay a little longer without exposing my son to too much sun. And it makes for a more comfortable experience. It does get pretty crowded on the weekends if there is a party, and parking is very limited. So I'd avoid it on Saturday or Sunday afternoon mid day. read more
