I visited Peppertree Park for the Tustin Street Fair and annual chili cook-off. You'd buy the tickets there and then venture off in to the various street with booths and food vendors. It represents so many businesses, restaurants, and clubs. The park is family and pet friendly with grassy fields, tables and benches, areas for kids to play in, restrooms. Although it wasn't a huge park, it was impressive to see how the City of Tustin leveraged the space for communal activities. The reason for 4 stars is due to the parking situation. I had to park 5 blocks away and walk to the event. I suggest going there early for eventful days or strolling at the park on non-event-related days. read more

The playground at this park is amazing. My daughter had a blast playing with all the kids there. The playground looks fairly new. I didn't get to checkout the restrooms but everything seemed nice. The only thing I strongly disliked were the overly obnoxious vehicles driving out of the parking lot at high speeds. I know this park isn't in the best neighborhood but I wish people had a little consideration for the kids playing close by. read more

We attended for the first time this year. A great production of Grease! Good acting, nice atmosphere. You might want to arrive early or to pay more for the closest seats. There were three food and drink trucks. TACFA ran a bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks. We parked on nearby streets; allow about ten minutes to park and walk there. read more

Great park with street and lot parking. Bocce ball lanes that are well maintained. A concert area where local bands play. Bathrooms available. BBQ and 3 cement picnic tables for parties. A nice kids playground with soft flooring. Large grassy area to enjoy. Easy access off 55 and 5 freeways. read more

What a cute little park that's well taken care of! We came here for the annual lobster fest and it was a great location for that! Lots of outdoor space, with clean restrooms and a nice little playground for kids. It's a nice place for outdoor fun with the family. Odd thing but cool we met Ms. Tustin I had no idea she excited but she was nice. We had food trucks and ice cream venders. Parking around the park with some old trees. Great low key location. I like this park because it has a good sized playground. There is play equipment for toddlers and children which is a plus when you have different ages of kids to entertain. I also like the location, as I feel it's a safe location. Yes, there are homeless here on occasion, but homeless people are not problems. Homelessness is the problem. There are big trees that offer plenty of shade on hot days. My only complaint is that there is no shade over most of the the play equipment, so the playground is almost too hot to play on during these sweltering summer days. read more

Really nice park. Clean, great children's playground. We were there on a Friday from 3P - 7P. It was quiet at first and then lots of families with children showed up, but still not too crowded. Plenty of space to run and play. Bathrooms were fairly clean and usable. read more

This park has been here for ages. It's nice, relatively clean, and just a nice place to hang out. Sometimes there's homeless people here but they don't bother anyone. I remember growing up and seeing the caregivers from the old folks' home down the street wheelchair some patients here for fresh air. read more

This review is just for the Pokemon-go play at Pepper Tree Park. This park is located in Old Town Tustin. There are 7 poke-stops in this park and it is a great place to start your Pokemon walk in Old Town Tustin. There are several more poke stops down to Main Street. Then hang a left on Main Street to the intersection of El Camino Real. It is poke stop madness between Pepper Tree Park and the intersection of El Camino Real and Main Street. You can hit almost 20 Poke stops within a five block area. Lure City on Saturday night too. There are 4 Poke gyms in the same area too. Lots of Pokemon to catch as well. Get out, get some exercise, and walk Old Town Tustin starting at Pepper Tree Park. read more

This is no longer Gastly park. UGGG!!! This is now Magnemite park. I was hunting gastlys here for a very long time and after the 7/30/16 update, gastlys stopped nesting in this location. All the skater punks that frequent here must have scared them away. Rolled up here one night and caught three Magnemites within fifteen minutes. The only annoying thing about this park is listening to noob trainers talk about pokemon. Many noobs. I can't stand listening to people butcher Pokemon names and explain the game incorrectly. After 9PM, all the millennials come out to play. Before 11AM are the adults. Oh yeah, there's a dinky little playground. It's kind of dirty too. People leave their trash and I think homeless people are around leaving their things -- I bet they liked it here before all the trainers arrived. The playground doesn't seem great. There's a stage. I just catch pokemon. read more

So this one is mixed. The park itself is probably a 2. The odor of the bathrooms wreak!! Wow, you can smell it far away. It's sad they also don't fix up the grass/dirt basically that is around here. Playground is also not the nicest. So I would never come to this park to play, or have a picnic. I don't feel safe around here either. But as far as the summer concerts go, that's probably a 4, just because of the bands & variety they offer. It's always a fun time to be had. I come every summer and it's in my town so why not. Hence why I averaged out to a 3. So just depends on why you come here. read more

This park use to be enjoyable for the whole family, we came quite often to practice baseball and love the tire swing but lately the cleanest of the park has gone down, every time we come there's a mess in the restrooms and lots of homeless people smoking and drinking hangout makes it a bit uncomfortable when you have little ones. read more

Peppertree Park is our family's go to park for play time with the kids. There are two jungle gym structures and a swing set. There is also a large grass area for soccer or a game of catch or Frisbee. Most of the reviews center on the summer concerts that the City of Tustin hosts during the summer. I have been to a few of these. They are nice events. The city brings in decent cover bands and musical troupes. The only downer is, as with any event of this type, the traffic and parking. On week end mornings, the park is pretty empty. You can easily get a shady table to enjoy a picnic brunch. I recommend Peppertree Park for a nice easy family outing. read more

I came here with my friends who live in the area. The City of Tustin had a summer concert series at this park. The week I showed up was when the "Journey" tribute band, DSB (Don't Stop Believing) was performing. Thank You to the City of Tustin for putting on a great party for their local residence. Pepper Tree Park is located walking distance from Downtown Tustin. Lots of open air and equal shade for everyone. An impressive playground which will put a smile on any kid's face. A baseball field for the bigger kids and adult softball leagues. And many picnic tables to be had on any other day than when I visited this park. Because my friends and buddies live in the area, I am sure to visit this park again during the next year's set of concerts. read more

We live in old town Tustin and have finally given up on this park. Between the homeless situation, the teenagers using the park to dry-hump and make out in front of the little kids, and the scattered pieces of trash in the play lot... It's just not worth it. It really doesn't bother me that the majority of people at this park are from neighboring Santa Ana and English is rarely spoken here... It's just not worth the stress of worrying about the kids with the vagrants and inappropriate behavior going on in front of them. This park is a real bummer. The concert in the park in the summers is the only time we will attend this park in the future. read more

Pepper tree park is a fun little neighborhood park. It's decently clean and usually not full. There is a fairly large transient community here, so that is why it's just 3 stars and not 4. Overall a fun place to go if you're in the area, but don't make a special trip out of it. read more

This park is one of the primary parks in Tustin. Solid three stars for...lets check off the goods peeps! location! yep. on first st and easy to see from the street. play structure! yep! and when your kids are on the structure they cant get off because of all the dangerous alligators!!! arrrrrrg! swing set! yep lawn bowling and or bocci ball- yep! bbq! yep baseball diamond and back stop! yep parking...yep... zoo! yep! only its really just the bathroom area:) and the bathrooms...hmmmmm...sketch peeps. its a gathering place for kids ditching school and heavy smoking. heavy. walk your kids to the bathroom here ya? i have witnessed several parents giving tustin pd a call because of the "crowd". rough bunch and there is often alcohol involved. solid three stars! its a public place so the public will be there. read more

I love this park. If you have small toddlers but they're a little past the structures that can be crawled on (like the small one at Bill Barber park in Irvine), there is a great structure here. It is perfect for those able to climb steps with a railing and go down small slides. Even better it has a SHADED central landing (with a small bench on it) big enough for you to sit on and get a full view of your toddler climbing, around, and down the various slides. They're are also a few tables adjacent to eat lunch as well as concrete benches where you can plant any items you brought along (or yourself) as the kids play. There's also a bigger structure for the 2-8 crowd; it has a great netted ladder with gaps that toddlers can manage (unlike many of the nets and metal ladders we've come across at other parks). It also has a bridge and several slides. My only complaint is that there was a tire swing my (29 month) son has loved over the past year that disappeared recently and hasn't been replaced. I'm guessing it broke but I'd love to see it come back since not many parks have tire swings. Some other notes: there are grassy fields to kick around a ball on and plenty of easy parking in the lot alongside the smaller playground. I know there are also events at this park in the Summer but I haven't attended any so I can't comment on them. read more

South Pacific was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the acting and music. The only distracting thing was the constant plane traffic overhead. But I should have expected that in Tustin. Bravo! read more

Good park to hang around play baseball/softball and a childs play area. It also comes with places to grill food.

I would have liked this park better if it wasn't surrounded by two major streets! It can be a little unsettling if you have a small toddler that zips around faster than you can say "go!". The play equipment was pretty nice and the park itself was rather clean, but I would prefer to go to a park that is a little bit more tucked away. read more

First of all, the summer concerts on the green at Peppertree Park have been wonderful and they've been great event over the years that we have been attending. The first concert this summer, however, was terribly marred by the jacked up volume of the concert relative to past years. It was so loud that earplugs didn't cut the level enough for my wife to enjoy the concert. The group (Stone Soul) seemed very talented, but it was simply TOO LOUD to listen to comfortably. We asked the sound technicians why the volume was cranked up so high and all I got was a blank look, although they said they would lower the volume a little. If they did, it was not noticeably lower. There seemed to be a new gal running the concerts this year and I asked her what was up and she indicated they had no intention of lowering the volume for future concerts. My guess is that the City is exceeding the noise levels contained in its own noise ordinance....... got no response from the new girl except "I'm sorry". Perhaps the City should bring a noise monitoring device to the next concert to measure noise levels. Might be an eye opener! read more
