Water play area
Rou M.

Such a cute little park! The play sets are shaped like wagons. There's also a water play area it seems... though I'm not sure how the water is turned on. Maybe during summer by the city? There was a volleyball net on the grass and a basketball half court. Other than that it's a pretty small but so not really good for walking your dog or anything like that. They had a good number of swings which I appreciated.

Swingtime so precious

Solid park in the area has clean bathrooms and lots to see and do in a great area. Jungle gyms, swings, basketball court, fields etc. Been coming here for years.

Plenty of swings

My kids love this park! The playground provides fun for a range of ages with great activities for climbing and sliding. There are plenty of swings, with also a hand court for basketball and a volleyball net nearby. I especially like how there are clean bathrooms available for us. There is also a shaded area with (4 or 6) cemented benches that would be a perfect area to host birthday parties.

Safe, well maintenanced, clean restrooms ( with soap and seat covers ) , beautiful greenery, two cool playsets, swings , wagons that are for climbing and exploring, half court basketball , volley ball net , lots of seating benches , shade, one gazebo , and a walking / hiking path around perimeter. Easily my favorite near me and in OC because my kids have so to do and so much fun and I feel safe and it's never crowded and always has nice families . Plus It's near lots of other nice parks including peters canyon.

Huge playground

Literally, a hidden gem! Secluded, clean, and has some pretty awesome amenities! This is one of my favorite parks in OC. Came here on one occasion for a birthday party and it felt like we had the entire park all to ourselves. The water feature was such a popular amenity with the kids (water shuts off at 4pm) while the basketball court was a hit with the big guys. I like that their jungle themed playground is huge with a mini zip line that even adults can play with. Their swings are ample (2 for toddlers and 6 for the older kids/adults). The covered wagons are pretty cool, too. Great for photo ops! Our second visit to this park was over the weekend. The weather was nice so we decided to hang out there with the kids. There were two other families while we were there. One was having a picnic on their grassy section while the other family was taking pics by the wagons. I love that it's not crowded even on a nice day. The covered picnic area is great for parties and can be rented for a fee. There are several picnic tables (with no shade) all over the park and lots of concrete seating available. We finally found the perfect venue for our daughter's birthday in the summer and we are nothing but excited! Restroom facilities, check! Parking, check!

Tiny car park, about 20 spaces

What a cute little park. They have a splash pad that you can turn on when you go. I couldn't see any information about whether it is turned off at the mains when it isn't season. Unfortunately the water doesn't drain anywhere properly and all runs off on to the pavement and down into the car park. It seems a waste, especially as it's in a drought prone area. Very wasteful. The park itself is cute. AS usual, there are two areas - one bigger and one smaller. They are not shaded. There are infant swings and big swings. There is a large shaded pavillion with 4 big picnic tables and one big BBQ. Unfortunately there isn't a clear view of the play area because they put trees in between it and the pavillion. There's a volleyball area and a small basketball half court. There are also toilets with a changing facility in the women's.

Clean park. Had enough to do for my 10 and 6 year old for about an hour. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded.

Such a cute and fun place to take the kids. Plenty of tables to take lunch and eat either in the shade or out in the sunshine.

Bill Barber Community Park - Best park in OC

Bill Barber Community Park

Hands down one of the cleanest, most convenient parks in the Irvine area!…read more There are several baseball fields, tons of gated tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, countless picnic areas that are numbered for parties and gatherings. I think what makes this park stand out is the crowd. Any park can be beautiful but, without the proper maintenance from the park crew (and most importantly the park goers) it doesn't stand a chance. You see tons of regulars here with their dogs, families, kids. Everyone is friendly and respectful of one another. The dog crowd at this park is also one of the best I've seen. Although the park is not off leash, there's wide open areas for you to allow your fur family to play catch, run around, and have a bit of freedom! They do have a couple of posts that have doggie bags however, they run out quick so please do come prepared with your own poop bags just in case! There are plenty of water fountains throughout with water filling stations attached, so don't forget a bowl for your fur family!!

There is also a large playground at the park where you can bring your kids. A lot of people start here to go cycling down the Santa Ana River Trail. This is a great place to bring your dog as well. New playground is a lawsuit waiting to happen. No stairs to slide. The only way to get to the slide…read moreis literally climbing the rock wall or scaling rope bridge. My toddler is advanced and can do playgrounds no problem but thing thing is literally for kids 7 and up. Even then it's so dangerous because there's way too many ways to fall off the play set. They do have a "toddler area" which is a small wood playhouse and wood/rope climbing area. And even that I wouldn't let my little one near because it's too easy for her to fall onto wood logs edge and get cut. Just very poor bad "modern" design. We only go cause it's walking distance and even then it's work because I'm constantly watching my daughter to make sure she doesn't fall off. Nothing enclosed at all. Truly dislike this playground for kids under 7. We've gone 7+ times and I never see kids climb to top of this playground or anything. Such a waste. Would rather make the drive to Heritage or Tustin Sports Park or literally any other park.

This was a cool little park we visited on Thursday morning…read more Parking is round the outside, on the main street, so it's quite busy. I didn't like that. Once you walk over the play area you can see that they have some really awesome and different play equipment. I liked that. There was some rubbish in various areas of the park. The older kids area is shaded, but unfortunately come 10am the little play area with the yellow and blue structure is right in the sun. There's also an area for very young kids and that was shaded. There are no swings. It's a little out of my way to come here, so I won't be back in a hurry. There are toilets.
