What a beautiful small park! I googled small parks nearby and Citrus Ranch in Tustin appeared in the search results. It's not a huge park but it has the basics like picnic shelters, picnic tables, Bbq grills, a gazebo, a big grassy area, a walking track, restrooms and a playground. The highlight of this park is that it has an orchard filled with citrus trees. The orchard is privately owned so you can't pick the fruit; however, you can definitely use the trees for a photo op. Apparently from the gazebo, you can see Catalina Island in one direction and Mt. Baldy in the other. See my photos. I love this park! I will be back. read more

This was a great little park. We came to try out their play area. Be sure when you enter to turn left for the playground. There are 2 play areas. One for small, young children and another for older kids. Both areas have sand and soft floor mats. There is a fun bridge for kids too. Good cement pathways for walkers, strollers, etc. this is close to the Tustin entrance to Peter's Canyon. They have a covered area with tables for parties too. read more

Playground is a hybrid of sand and rubber mats. The playground overall isn't a good place where kids have a lot of slides or cleanliness. But there are a lot of climbing features, swings, and benches for the parents to relax. read more

I never knew the C.O.T. had such a nice park. There's a nice grass area, two play areas, picnic areas with BBQS.a trail going through the citrus groves and a large parking lot. At the top of the trail there's a rest area where you can get some great pictures. I don't know if it's a weekly thing but it looked like they were going to have a Yoga class. The restroom was also clean. When I'm on my walks this will definitely be a pit stop for me. read more

My husband works across the street and came home to let us know he found a park that is good for our grandson. So we went to visit Citrus Park this morning & it was not crowded at all. There is 2 different playgrounds which I thought was really cool. One for the littles one & bigger kids. The weather was perfect for the little nature walk of many trees of and figs. I really love this park! It is so big and there is something to do for everyone! There are not one but two play areas! One for bigger kiddos and the other for younger toddlers. I really like the fact that they are separated because sometimes the big kids can get a little too rough for the little ones. Just the same, sometimes the little ones move slow and get in the way of the bigger kids. But this way, everyone wins! I also enjoy walking along the citrus trees. You can walk to the top of the hill and it has a gorgeous view with a little sitting area to relax and take it all in. You can even smell the citrus! It's absolutely lovely. For all you sports fans, there is also a huge open field. Perfect for any types of sports game. It's so big there can be multiple games played at the field! The park is kept very neat and clean. I know they put a lot of effort into this because there is always a lot of kids playing when we are there. Also, there is plenty of shade so this spot is perfect for those hot summer days! read more

This is one of my favorite parks. It's not necessarily a "hike" but there is a short trail you can walk amongst the lemon trees. It's kept up really well and there are lots of shaded picnic tables that offer a BBQ grill which is great for birthday parties and get-togethers, some are even somewhat private. If you have little ones there is also a decent sized playground, ample parking and the area is quite safe at night. read more

Love this place! It has a nice playground. I like how the benches have a chess board pattern.

It's a beautiful and nostalgic walking trail. It was the way Orange County used to be, Before urban development changed the landscape. Nothing but fragrant groves of citrus to walk through! It was a perfect way to walk off Christmas dinner. The impact on my daughter surprised me, because when I asked her what she would like to do next? The citrus place! That was what she actually wanted for Christmas!?? It just makes me smile. read more

Best themed kids playground next to the OC Great Park's little boulder area! My nephew loves this park! I'm feeling list-ish again, so here's my Top 10 Reasons why I think Citrus Ranch is the Bees Knees: 1. Love the vibrant colors! Rich lemon yellows, mellow lime greens, eye-popping oranges. 2. Very unique monkey bars design. One goes in complete circle! 3. Unique bridge leading from the parking / picnic area, to the playground. 4. Little kids park adjacent to the bigger kids park. 5. Foamy pavement so kids don't get hurt if they fall. 6. Clean restrooms. 7. Nice well designed picnic area. 8. Awesome citrus grove surrounding the park. 9. Weather station w/ wind & barometer in a fenced off area, great teaching opportunity for the kiddo. 10. Far enough from the road to not hear traffic go by. *** Pitstop Review (Tustin) *** It's really amazing the different routes Waze or Google maps redirects me sometimes. When traveling through L.A. it will sometimes give me a shortcut right through the projects. While other times it will take me through the most beautiful part of town that I've never been to before. Today I just told Waze to take me home and there most have been something that jammed the entire freeway. So it redirected me to this side of Tustin. Given the chance to just stretch out my legs as I passed by this park I took the opportunity to stop to smell the roses :-) ha ha ha... This is a very nicely manicured clean park. Everything about this little park is sooo clean and it feels so safe and peaceful. Very awesome! Here's what liked... * Very clean and pretty little park. * Easy parking even on a regular end of day. * Well maintained small trails to walk or run. * Very clean covered eating area. * Very clean restroom. My son loves coming here and I don't blame him! This is a great park for kids and adults as well! There are different trails for taking a walk/jog. At the top is a beautiful view for sunset! This park is very well maintained! Bathroom is always clean every time I've gone. There are two separate playgrounds: one for toddlers and one for older kids. Both are surrounded with sand so I suggest bringing some sand toys for the kids. Also, lately I've been seeing a lot of baby/family photo shoots in the grove area. And I think it's a great idea coz it really is beautiful out there! read more

I feel a bit bad giving this park a 3 star review as it is very beautiful, however I am more of a hiker looking at it at a hiker/runner standpoint. Citrus Ranch Park is a very beautiful lemon grove park. It is pretty small however, if you are looking for long lasting adventure or exercise this won't be the park for you. If you are a runner or hiker, I would definitely stop by this park at least once to admire its beauty. You can use it as a pit stop if you're using the nearby horse trails (Mountains To Sea Trail or Peters Canyon Trail). It would also be a nice place to visit for maybe an older out of town visitor to take them to. Seems to be good for kids too, playground looked nice but I don't have kids and that wasn't my reason for coming. This park is also close to Peters Canyon Park for a good workout. It's also dog friendly! Come by at least once to stop and smell the lemon trees! read more

Nice quiet park that has multiple parts to it. One side has a playground for kids, there are also bathrooms and picnic areas for parties on this side. The playground seems well maintained and there are different sizes for different age kids. There is then the hill you can walk up to see lemon trees and get a view of the surrounding areas. It's a short walk 5-10 minutes and it's definitely worth checking out. You'll see lemons, birds, mountains, and at the top of the walk there is a shaded seating area to relax. Lastly there is another side of the park where it is open grass to play field sports/games. There isn't much shade on this side but it's still a good place for picnics/parties/outdoor activities. Overall this is a nice park, clean, and not crowded. read more

The playground is split; one for younger kids and one for older and they're both perfect! The ground is a mix of rubber and sand and most importantly, there are swings! Came here for a family bday recently. A pretty nice park out in Tustin, not too crowded; and you can reserve the pavilion for your party for a moderate price. The BBQ grill is clean and pretty accommodating for a lot of food and there's a large playground for the kiddies. Place isn't on most GPS systems tho, so that would be the only hiccup with directions, but it's pretty easy to find. Just off Tustin Ranch Rd and Portola. Out of the way for me though, but for all you locals - a nice place to host your outdoor event :) read more

Citrus Ranch Park is the perfect place to head for if you're interested in a hike with a really nice, short ascent. Take the trail to the top and you'll find yourself in a lemon grove; keep following the trail and you'll be afforded a panoramic view of the Tustin Ranch golf course and Saddleback Mountain. There are also some really nice playgrounds for kids on one side of the park, and a large grassy field on the other side :-) I wouldn't go so far as to say that Citrus Ranch Park is the stuff of which dreams are made, but it's an outstanding and classy OC park nevertheless :-) read more

This is a nice park. It has two play areas, one for bigger kids and one for smaller kids. It's not very shady midday. There is a big covered concrete area with four picnic tables. Around the perimeter there are a couple of small grassy areas with picnic tables. There is also a short trail along the lemon trees, which leads up to a small, covered look out point. There is no shade along the trail either so it's very hot during the day. There are toilets here, I didn't use them so can't comment on their cleanliness. It is all stroller friendly. The carpark is pretty big, so plenty of room for parking. read more

I love this park! It's a short walk but it's a cool hidden gem type of place. The only reason I docked it a star in the review is because lately the weeds have become out of control and half of the paths aren't really walkable anymore at this point because they have grown so tall! The lemon groves with the trail are sooo cool, short climb to the top and 360 views of beautiful tustin ranch golf course, the avocado groves at orchard hills, Saddleback mountain, and maybe the beach on a clear day, WOW! Playground for kids looks nice, picnic, and grass play area is ample, and beautifully landscaped. But if you're not so kid friendly there's a whole other side with large grass field. I think its prefect for dog walk, you can utilize the lemon grove trail and the paths in the park, and then loop around the outside perimeter on the horse trails.... Made me feel really humbled at the top of the lemon groves, for better or worse, I am super lucky to live in OC. read more

First of all, the current map is wrong. This park is located at the corner of Tustin Ranch Rd. and Portola Parkway. We've been excited at coming here for some time and now it is finally open. It seems like it has a good playground for the kids. The trail to the top of the hill seems like a great idea. The problem with the park is the lack of shade! I know its new and the trees aren't grown in, but it was uncomfortably HOT and it was only 75 degrees outside. Also once you get to the top of the hill (a short trail) there is one tiny covered shelter which was taken up by a kids birthday party. So basically its a good place for kids, not for grownups who want to walk the dog. read more

This is a nice park for walking and taking the kids out to play. The citrus trees are a great preservation of Orange County's history. There is a grove of trees lines the hillside and hides a path that switchbacks up the hill to reveal a grand view or the area. The playground has both an advanced big boys and toddler sections (sub-divided by stairs). The concrete path around the playground is a little difficult to navigate in a stroller. Since I wanted to take the stroller in the most direct path to the playground, I ending up pulling it up stairs as opposed to walking around the paths. Nonetheless, it was simply my laziness that made the path difficult The park was well kept and very clean. Bathrooms on site were a welcome site. read more

Free lemons! Jk don't pick the lemons, this is a fun little park with a fun little hill to climb and look at stuff. The only downside is the trash cans sometimes need some emptying and there was this one time I saw this bignfat rat the size of Texas. (And no it was not a chihuahua.) So yes come here for some nice views and rodents of an unusual size. read more

Although I only spent a few minutes here on Easter Sunday, I could tell this park was beautiful and really well taken care of. Plenty of parking even on a busy holiday. The playground area looked clean and modern. Lots of areas to sit and eat. My favorite part is the hundreds of lemon trees. They smell amazing! read more

BEAUTIFUL PARK! The huge field of lemon trees are a great backdrop for this park. We luckily were able to snag a picnic bench to eat our picnic lunch. This park is definitely more suitable for kids under age 6. The trails between and around the lemon trees were fun to walk through picking up lemons on the way. The bathrooms are also pretty clean at the park as well with plenty of parking. read more
