Such a cute little park! It's small but really well-kept, with lots of trees that make it feel peaceful and shaded. There's a nice playground for the kids and a few picnic tables that are perfect for a quick family gathering or a weekend snack outdoors. It's a solid park. I grew up around here and this was one of the default parks me and my friends went to. There is plenty of open grass areas, hiking trails, playground areas, basketball courts, and seating areas. Restrooms are average cleanliness (exactly what you would expect from a park bathroom) and the seating area definitely could be cleaner. Parking gets filled really quickly because the parking lot is pretty tiny. Overall a very nice park. read more

Nice park with lots of trees and open grassy area for kids are families to play. Convenient parking lot but can get quite crowded at times.

This park is clean, big, quiet, 8 Picnic pod with bbq, lemon tree orchard made the whole park smell so good, walking trail and bike trail are on the side, free parking, 2 playground and 1 outdoor exercise gym. I parked my car in the parking lot and followed the walking trial walked less than one mile to Peter canyon trail head and started my hiking in Peter cayon. read more

By far our favorite park. My son just turned one & we've been walking here since he turned 5 months. My stepson is 7 & he also loves this park. There's a few different walking paths, 2 big playgrounds, LOTS of grass & picnic tables, as well as an area to workout at. This is the same park that I took maternity pictures at, as well as my sons first birthday cake smash pictures. You will always see others taking pictures at this park as well. The scenery is beautiful & always well maintained. If you're looking to just get out, or find a place to take event photos-- this is the park. read more

I like this park a lot, except for the car park - way too small. I think a lot of parents park here for pick up and drop off too, which is annoying if you come at the 'wrong' time. There're lots of fun structures for kids to climb. There's a paved path round the edge of the park dotted with exercise equipment. There's a huge covered picnic area with about 8 tables. read more

Cedar Grove Park is in a great location adjacent to Peter's Canyon Regional Park http://www.yelp.com/biz/peters-canyon-regional-park-orange#hrid:ylTDzS_cYmpdWrzq2_IYgw. You can access the trail-head by parking at Cedar Grove Park and running up the bike trail to Peter's Canyon, which is only about a mile away. This allows for easy parking plus the use of a restroom and water fountain, which is always a plus before a run, bike ride, or hike. Cedar Grove also has great facilities such as picnic tables, barbecues, basketball courts, and a children's jungle gym. Occasionally I've seen fitness classes being conducted on the large grassy area. If you already enjoy going to Peter's Canyon, check out Cedar Grove Park. And if you've never been to Peter's Canyon, you really need to go. It's a great place to get some exercise and enjoy the scenery. read more

This is my favorite park in our vicinity, so beautiful and clean. Two different areas for the kids to play, with lots of greenery. Also next to the play areas is one of those adult exercise equipment areas. I'm sure there's a proper name for them but I cant recall it right now. There's a little nature trail over by the redwoods, and longer trails connect to the park to hike and ride bikes. Great spot for kids birthdays too. I had my sons 1st birthday party here, it was perfect. Would also be a great spot for family photos. read more

This park is pretty fantastic. It's tucked away against the Peters Canyon Trail, and is adjacent to the elementary school. It's got a massive open green space, equipment for the kids, and a small walking path along the perimeter. A nice big parking lot is a plus. The bathrooms are very well maintained, as is the entire park. Tustin really knows how to do it. And most importantly, this park features one of the best and most satisfying drinking fountains I've bet encountered. read more

This is one of my favorite park in Tustin/Irvine area. Great view of the surroundings, it's clean, spacious, beautiful green trees and grass, lots of shaded area, a basketball court, 2 grass vollyball courts, on-site parking (or you can park on the streets), shelter picnic tables, and playground for the kids! Great park for family and kids.....a great place to hold birthday parties, picnic, playing sports, and baby shower too! Be sure to contact City of Tustin's Park & Recreation department to book the picnic table sections to avoid other hoggers! With the permit, you are all set to go and anyone that tries to take your spot, they are out of luck! :) The park is very close to the Peter's Canyon nature trail. (another bonus!) read more

This park is great. There are playgrounds for ages 6-10 years old. The playground has swings for babies to push and other playground structures to play on. You can also just take a walk or jog along this path. There are many trees in this park (no palm trees though) but there are a lot of paper or pine trees growing. read more

I love the amount of grass space here and picnic tables it's a good place for family gatherings and lawn games. There are also dirt walking trails that connect up to the peters canyon trails. Be careful while playing sports in the grass though it can be pretty lumpy. The play ground equipment is different, it's separated into different age appropriate sections with the last one being a "workout" section for adults. It's like playground version of gym equipment, pretty funny to play on actually but I don't think anyone actually uses this stuff to workout, weird. There is a basketball court that's pretty nice but small, I think it's less than a half court. On weekends there are usually at least 3 or 4 parties going on at once but it's not really a problem bc the park is big enough that you feel like you have your own space. The parking lot is sorta small, on an extra busy weekend you might have to park over at the peters canyon school. read more

Every year about.. I go to this park for my Nephews Birthday. It's a pretty cool park... why? 1) They have exercise stations that are like gym equipment. It's a fun way to exercise with or without your family. 2) The playground area is cool in that there is plenty of climbing type things for young kids. They can climb walls or walk across ropes. 3) The best part for me is the playground with the big snake (and I think there's a frog). It's a pretty imaginative integration of reptiles/amphibians and playground slides. Yes, it is a good place to do a birthday. The bad is that there isn't alot of parking. The other bad is that the trash pickup can be better. All in all though, my kids LOVE this park. Sadly, I took one of my kids away from the playground and they cried the whole time as we walked (or should I say I carried him) all the way back to the car. read more

This park is very well-maintained! Clean, green, fresh air, tall trees, playgrounds, picnic tables, work out equipments. Ranch-style dirt trail and pavement. There were dogs and no dog poop, good job, dog owners for picking up after ur little 4-legged child! A lot of couples enjoying the walk, parents-children playing together. I love this park! One of my favorite parks in Orange County. You can literally do anything here. I've seen it all. Birthday Parties, Picnics, Group Activities, Hiking, People flying their drones, and Etc. I've been to this park well over 50 times and always have had a great experience. I usually walk my dogs and allow them to run on the big foot ball field like grass area. They have built in work out stations in the back area of the field. It's so cool! You can also play basketball with the locals that have open pick up games. A PERFECT PLACE TO FLY A KITE! Cedar Grove is the local park across the street from my sister's house. The little ones have had many parties here over the years as it has several picnic tables, bbq(s), and several playgrounds. Other points: -Decent size basketball court; -Large grass areas; -Baby Powder scented Potty bags for the pups (ooh-la-la); -Access to trails and other hiking spots. I DEFINITELY utilized this park on a daily basis with my pup during our stay with the family for the holidays. Tons of neighborhood folks tend to bring their canine buddies here---taking advantage of the wide grassy knolls for catch and such forth. The ones I've chatted with all seem quite responsible picking up after their pups although many do let them off leash to run around. Not an issue for me as they all seemed quite obedient and came back when their owners called them----however, I know some folks are a bit squirmish about this with young kids around. Overall, a great neighborhood park. :) read more

Beautiful park. Many photographers come to do their photo shoots at this park because it has a forest like area on one side while the other side separated by a HUGE green grassy field has all the playgrounds and workout area. This area has the picnic benches where many birthday parties are held on wknds. A bit annoying because any people from outside of the cities come and , without permits, throw kid parties, leave a mess and leave. This park used to have a unique wooden train theme play area kids used to love on a sand lot but they got rid of the sand and the structures and completely redid the playgrounds. We were excited about the renovations until we realized what they got rid of and replaced them with. Now there aren't sand, no unique train structures but they have the typical irvine/Tustin ranch playground structures and they also have workout/training equipments instead. Still a great park. Many races, sports games and events held here during summer. At around 5:30 or 6pm each evening a bunch of dog lovers meet up and let their dogs gather on the grass as well. Some do break the rules and let them off the leash but no one seems to really do much about the rules anyways. read more

First visit today and I really liked it. There's 2 playgrounds for different ages. There's a great walking/run trail and a huge field. Easy to find and lots of seating. The only thing was that the playground area could have more shade. But there's plenty to do. I enjoy the workout area. That's great! Bring lots of sunscreen, water, and snacks. read more

I'm in an exercise group at this park so I'm here twice a week. Don't get me wrong, this park is absolutely beautiful. The cedars are breathtaking. But there are some problem areas....the bathrooms are always out of toilet paper, trashed, and disgusting. The trash cans near the playgrounds are always full and spilling out, especially after the weekend. There is always trash on the playgrounds. The planters in the picnic area have been flooded for months. The park is massive so you really, really have to keep an eye on your kids. There is always dog poop in the grass, so disgusting. The parking lot is small and there aren't any options to park on the street. I contacted the city to let them know about the issues and never received a response back. read more

Beautiful park with both the nature appeal of a wildlife park in a controlled environment for safety. Situated in a very nice neighborhood and adjacent to an elementary school, this park has appeal for both young and old. The playground areas have interesting toys for the kids and fun snake and frog edifices for climbing. Young couples were here to take professional couples pictures along the trails near the trees. There were several people on the walking path jogging or strolling. As someone with bad knees, I really appreciated the sandy dirt path on the walking trail and I love that there's a concrete trail running parallel to it for bike riding and such. The green area is in the center of the park with the walking paths meandering on the outskirts. I can see myself playing frisbee in the grass, having a bbq picnic near the tall trees and then going for a serene walk at sunset around the park. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy a peaceful oasis not far from the buzz of the urban areas. read more

Before you hit Peter's Canyon, you'll see this park on Pioneer Way. There's a parking lot and it doesn't seem like much, but it links with many trails. We walked my friend's dog along Irvine/Tustin's surface streets on foot friendly dirt paths. This is a good, easy walk for you and your pup. Since it's Irvine, it's very clean and has trash cans along the way. read more

Nice trees and very clean. There is a small but decent selection of exercise equipment. Too bad you cant use the ab ones unless u bring pads/thick towels. Also the park is small so it takes more than one lap to get your heart-rate up. read more

Clean park. Restrooms stay open til 10. They are one of the cleanest public restrooms I've been to. Just beware of coyotes.

Wow this park is huge! Plenty of little trails to walk, or ride your bike. Huge grassy area with covered picnic benches. Little spots all over the park with benches for picnic lunches or what have you. They had a huge party with a bounce house for some kids when we came. It was awesome. The party must have had about 100 people between kids and adults. But the park wasn't over crowded, still plenty of places to play. Another group in a different area had set up a volleyball net and started playing. They have a entire playground with climbing activities, another one with seesaws and what appears to be workout equipment designed for kids, another play ground with slides and balance beams. If you want to have that park party this is the place, you might want to call to see if you can reserve a special area you might be interested in or if it's required. Oh and they do have public restrooms with running water and soap for your hands. Huge plus! I didn't get to see the entire park but I know they have much more. Next time we go I will post some pics of the unseen territory! read more

After gnoshng on dessert at cream oan we stopped off to burn cals at this park. It's pretty big with a walking trail, bball courts, and 3 tot lots at different ages/levels. There's also a small group of exercise machines. Pretty good for the whole family. read more
