I love this neighborhood. . Living in this neighborhood, we get good benefits. Good education for children, Clean and safe. Very close to Great park ,Great Park Ice & Fivepoint Arena. You also need to pay high tax ( mello rose) and association fee. A Mello-Roos is a special tax assessment district created in California to finance local infrastructure or services. The tax is applied only to residents of the district that benefits from the project

Lunar New Year at Beacon Park

Came here last weekend for their Lunar New Year celebration. They had ample parking a little ways away, with lots of shuttle buses and golf carts to take you to the park. We only expected to stay for a little bit to check it out, but we ended up staying for hours! They had lion dancers, crafts, and live music. The park itself was awesome for kids. Lots of playground equipment for kids of all ages to play on. Nice big open grassy area for running around. And the bbq/clubhouse area was very modern and nice. They had a pizza oven and a tandoori oven for pete's sake! The clubhouse had a fair amount of seating. And as a bonus, they were handing out tangerine Eos lip balms, embossed with "Great Park Neighborhoods" presumably because it looks like the orange balloon. Cute touch.

This is a really cool neighbourhood park. The play equipment is a bit different from your bog standard, which is great. They have a big net structure for older kids to play on and they also have a small tot lot - which doesn't have a ton of things, but enough to keep littles amused. There is also a big deck with seats nestled up in a tree. Awesome spot for reading or chilling. To get to the play area you have to walk from the car park on grass, there is no path, so it's not very stroller friendly. There are also hardly any benches or tables near the play equipment, so nowhere for parents to sit or leave bags etc. while playing. This is a private park, and they have a security guy motoring round on his segway. I didn't see any toilets.

A brand new playground has popped up in Irvine, but this one undoubtedly sets itself apart from the rest. The modern meets fairy tale architecture known as Beacon Park dons a massive tree house, a variety of sandless play areas, and accommodates kids of all ages. It's pretty awesome! The best time to come is in the early morning or late afternoon. I went at noon and unless you're inside or directly under the tree house, shade is hard to come by here. Which seems to be the case for almost all parks in Irvine....I wish the Irvine Company would realize that and maybe eliminate some barbecues and replace them with tarps for the playgrounds. The play areas are filled with rubber wood chips that provide extra cushion for any fall. The Tot Lot has a netted tire swing, toddler swings, children's swings, a tunnel, and turf. The play areas for the older kids have a tarp slide, ropes to swing on, and obstacle courses. There are plenty of places to sit and observe but this park is not gated and close to the street so keep an eye on the little ones. My favorite part of the park was the water fountain station that fills up water bottles above and an area for dogs to drink below. The grass area is vast and lined with windy pathways that are perfect for strollers or chasing toddlers. The drought friendly landscape includes fragrant herbs and colorful succulents. There is a parking lot near the pool and also plenty of spaces on the street. It's free to get in!

We enjoyed ourselves at this awesome park. So many things to do for the kiddos. Tree house, slide, trampoline slide, swings, art and crafts room that's air conditioned, an area with bean bags and books, large chess set, bocce, basketball, balls all over the field, and toddler area. We spent quite a bit of time here and the kids had a ton of fun.

Cigar buds INSIDE the venue. This is the sh*t we were left to clean up before my sons 3rd bday = children's party. Classy

We are residents in the neighborhood and rented out the Beacon Park clubhouse this past Saturday 11/30/19 for my son's 3rd birthday. Upon arrival after the pre inspection, this place was a complete DISASTER from the party before. Apparently there was an inspection the night before but WE are responsible for the previous party's mess. The bathroom was a mess, there were food crumbs and drink spills all over the venue, several cigar buds left inside, YES INSIDE and outside, two trays of food in the parking lot, and shattered beer bottles in the parking lot. Our party planner found the food trays and broken beer bottles when she arrived to set up for the party and cleaned it up herself while tending to her children ! Imagine how embarrassing this was. We had to clean this sh*t up with kids around us. One of the people working there apologized and told us she would find a way to reimburse us for our troubles. We understood as she seemed empathetic and understanding. We spent TWO hours before setting up for the party cleaning this place when we could have used this time to set up. This was difficult to do while tending to a toddler and having to take on unexpected extra tasks to clean up after something we should have never been responsible for to begin with! We also were required to hire a security guard to pay $30 per hour to have alcohol in the party in which we did. We paid him for 3-10pm before his shift but only needed him till 8pm in the end as the party ended earlier than we intended but we we're still not reimbursed for the remaining two hours. We were not reimbursed at all but instead they CHARGED us $150 from our deposit because we forgot to change the trash liner in the bathroom and because of a couple crumbs left by the doorway. The venue was left completely spotless compared to the way we entered upon arrival. The security guard on duty was on a major power trip and had a nasty attitude towards us and was nitpicking us on the smallest things even though we respectfully followed the orders he asked of us. He was offended when we asked if there was an inspection the night before since it was a complete mess and he got defensive and said HE did the inspection and claimed it as spotless. We didn't feed into his bad attitude and harassment as badly as I wanted to put him in place since the previous worker who saw the condition said she would do what she can to make sure we get reimbursed somehow and apologized several times. He was so hostile in front of my family and small children present for no reason. The management running this place will say anything to try to squeeze more money out of you! I don't even understand what they are doing with all the money they receive to rent out this space-- it needs some serious deep cleaning! The way management handled this matter after we have fully cooperated with the condition we had to deal with is completely dishonest and inhumane and left a bad taste in my mouth. They treated their own residents of their community with disrespect and dishonesty. The people running this place are nice to you when they are collecting your money, but the minute they collect it from you they treat you like garbage. Whoever is running this establishment needs to be fired immediately. Do not consider moving to this community. We have lived in irvine for years and have rented club houses in quail hill and los alivos over the years to host our events and have never dealt with such dishonesty and utter disrespect. We have always been respectful of the venue/clubhouses we rent from and have never dealt with such hostility. You guys, this is how they treat residents that actually LIVE HERE. How disgusting is that. NEVER AGAIN. Thanks for ruining my son's 3rd birthday with your unprofessionalism and incompetence.

There are plenty of wide, well-maintained paths throughout the park itself, so you can easily choose shorter or longer loops depending on your mood. If you're looking for more distance, the bike trail that runs alongside the park is a huge bonus--it stretches for miles and is great for anyone who wants a longer, uninterrupted route. I regularly see a steady mix of runners, walkers, and cyclists using both the park paths and the trail, which makes the area feel active but never overcrowded. Besides being a great spot for exercise, the park is also surprisingly popular for photos. I often see families and groups here taking Sweet 16, quinceañera, and other special-occasion pictures. There are several really charming areas with greenery, trees, and open fields that make for beautiful backdrops. Overall, it's a versatile park--peaceful enough for a casual stroll, spacious enough for a long workout, and scenic enough for a photoshoot. Highly recommend spending some time here.

Last Tues was their ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating 8 brand-new public pickleball courts in Irvine. + Tall fences to minimize ball-on interferences. + Many tables and benches to sit around. + Many clean restrooms 1-3mins walk away. + Enough baseline room for retrieving lobs. . Okay sideline room for ATPs. . Wide skill range there, from novices to high-intermediate players. - LONG wait. Since the first day, crowds rushed in to line up for open play. The rack is already full with 30+ paddles. + During middle of the day (lunchtime), it's empty. . Only one rack queue for all 4 (or 8) open-play courts. - Starting yesterday (Fri 2/6/26) the other 4 courts became reservation crts. -- On the first day, it was chaotic. My paddle was first in line. A game ended and someone called next 4 and gave me my paddle. I turned to hop on an open court, but no court was open. I turned back and the queue had already shifted along, so there was no spot at the front for me to put my paddle back. I asked around. One person said he was in the same situation, then he grabbed an open 4-paddle holder to put his paddle back in front of the line. I tried to put mine in, but he kept blocking me out to let his folks put theirs in. I was dumbfounded, disgruntled, distraught. No one cared to help my situation. An Irvine city employee walked by, and I explained my situation to him. He couldn't offer much help. After a few min, I accepted my miserable situation and put my paddle back in the end of the line. I only got to play 1 game that day. - The city employees should've known better. Keep 1 or 2 members monitoring the hectic paddle queue to ensure no one gets cut in line. . Moral of the day: before removing your paddle from the front of the line to hop on the next court, make sure you know which court # you're going to, make sure the ppl there are leaving, make sure the other 3 ppl in your group of 4 are going with you. . Idea: If you do wind up in my situation, and you've already lost your place in line, one thing you can try is grab an empty 4-paddle holder, squeeze it in to the front of the line, and put your paddle in. Offer any 3 random ppl (who are already near the front of the line) to join your 1st-place paddle holder. If people object, explain your sad situation first. If they remain adamant, I guess the mission's a no-go, then you'll end up having to return your paddle to the end of the line. I'm only just thinking of this idea now. Didn't get to try it while I was caught up in the moment. Hope the same thing doesn't happen to you.
