Baker Ranch Community Park is nestled within the Baker Ranch community. Parking is very limited here so we try to time it when it's not too busy. The restrooms are clean which is always a plus for a park. BRCP, has many benches/tables for gatherings close enough to where your kids can play. The playground is pretty large for the older kids. There is a little one for the much smaller children off to the side. What I like about this playground though is the flooring. They have this very cushioned floor instead of wood chips. When our kids trip or fall, they don't get badly hurt and they for sure don't get splinters or wood chips stuck in their shoes. Behind the tables is a basketball court that you can easily see from the tables if in case you're worried about your kids running off to play. It's easy to keep an eye on them from there. Beyond what I've already mentioned, I don't know what else this park has to offer because it's as far as we have gone for play dates or birthdays parties at the park. It's a nice place for kids to play. I only wish parking wasn't so limited. read more

Such a great park with lots of shade and areas for different activities and ages of kids. The parking lot is a bit small, but we didn't have problems parking on a Sunday afternoon. This park is huge. At least three different playground areas for kids of multiple age ranges. There's also a covered patio area, and a small grassy area where I saw kids playing some soccer. If that wasn't enough, there are basketball courts as well as a huge baseball field too. Plus, bathrooms! read more

Very cool park! So impressed with how pristine and clean it is! It's got soccer, baseball fields, basket ball courts, covered picnic areas, bbqs, bathroom, and plenty of picnic tables. Love the big kids playground! It's for sure for big kids so if you have a little one, you may want to hold their hands because it's pretty high up with big openings. But my 2 1/2 son loved it . I just went up and climbed with him. It was so fun! There is a smaller playground perfect for ages three and under. And my son love that one too! There is a little sand area for playing with sand toys. I also love that there's little fake grass hills where my son goes up and down on . Lots of really great details on the playground where there's a little chess board places where kids can pretend that they're driving a car, a lot of climbing structures. I was very impressed for this park and we will for sure becoming back. It's just a super cool park! There's parking in both size depending of entrance you come on so we didn't have any trouble finding parking. But I assuming on a weekend it does not seem like there's enough parking and I don't know if you can park on the streets but for a weekday for sure there's plenty of parking because no one was really there. But if you have kids especially if they love to climb and explore this is a great playground! read more

Huge playground area for the kids. Also if you can, reserve the covered picnic area which is right next to the playground.

It can be cleaned up. It's not too late. Just don't let the unruly kids and criminals take over. It's still a beautiful place to live!!

Mission Viejo where we live has great parks but if we decide to go to the neighbors side. We go to this one. Excelent play ground equipment and they have pick nick tables where I can keep an out on the kids. Also they have a great structure thats good for remote control rock crawlers. read more

What a nice park! We were in the Lake Forest area helping out with a political campaign, and we made a stop here before starting the campaign. The whole park is well-maintained with a playground, a nice grassy area, and a lot of space for picnics too. The only thing I wish was a little nicer is the restrooms. I was surprised that the restrooms weren't well maintained like everything else at this park is. read more

A fantastic park hidden in the community. One big-kid playground has a gigantic slide, a rock climbing structure, and a big fort-like play area that is fun for kids and adults alike. (Fun for adults because they have easy-access stairs to get up and down the play area.) This playground has artificial grass which is nice and spongy on your feet. I haven't seen too many parks with this type of turf, but I wish more did! The other two playgrounds adjacent to the big-kid playground are smaller, with a sand pit, playhouse and hobby horses. There is also a baseball field, as well as an open grassy area that would be a perfect place to fly a kite. read more

This is a cool park on a hill top so it gets a nice breeze. There are two car parks, on opposite sides of the park. There's a huge field for soccer, frisbee etc. A basketball court and two play areas. There's an area for 2-5 year olds which has a little house and a small climbing frame. There's a huge area for 5-12, with a huge slide and lots of walkways. There's a big rock with rock climbing ledges. There are toilets. The water fountains don't work well, it just kind of dribbles out and the dog fountains don't work at all, it leaks on to the floor. read more

Located in a newly developing part of Lake Forest, there is a clean, fun, recreational park on a hill community of Baker Ranch. I was reading an article one day about several parks to go to in south OC to bring your kids and this one is a gem. The main play Fort with the steep tube slide looks ridiculously fun! Even as an adult you find yourself wanting to slide it. But leave it with the kids this play area is huge. They will be running around and be kept busy for a good amount of time. Also there is play area suited for smaller kids. I would advise to watch your little ones closely as like many parks with big Forts there are some loopholes of danger hazards. My favorites are the full court basketball area and since you're on the hill, you get a view of Irvine, along with that you get a glimpse of the Great Park Balloon on a clear day. This park surrounds parts of its play area with artificial grass, which is nice and adds to the clean environment. There is a baseball diamond, as well as an open field grass area for recreation. The downside is that I find jogging there very limited. The sidewalk paths are laid out for hard strides and walking. Overall, one of the best outdoor fun to encounter with your family. read more

A little park out in the middle of nowhere (well seems to be at least, it's in a new development area), for some reason my daughter liked it quite alot. More than many parks she has been to. There are various items to climb on in the bigger kids area, including a "wall climbing" one, a climbing net, a climbing "grid" and a few others. A noticeable landmark is the huge tunnel slide that makes it's presence on the landscape, which my daughter really liked. There is a stand alone rock that has rock climbing attachments that makes a little rock climbing wall. Well maintained park with playground equipment for infant through adult, including rock wall, 40' tube slide, climbing bars, checker/chess boards, mini tables, rocking toy, spiral slides, chain climbs, 3 lap/mile walking path, basketball court and ballfield. The park also engages mature adults with BBQs, picnic tables (available by reservation through City of Lake Forest or first come, first use) and garden area. Landscaping includes many California Desert and Coastal plants, including palm trees. A note to kids and adults the playground has artificial turf to help with seasonal or chronic allergies. This Park has great evening views of the sunset and good views of the sunrise over the mountain. This may change when housing construction is complete. read more

Yea lovely park, but the bathroom has a notable stench to it. Walked in, stalls were all open, but a gross mom had her kid peeing in the sink. Pee splashed everywhere. STALLS WIDE OPEN, there was no reason to use the sink! So yea, take Purel bc you're not gonna have clean hands if you touch those faucets. read more

The park itself is nice and clean. I attended my granddaughters soccer game on Saturday, October 6 at 3:30 PM. Since this is a dog friendly park I brought my dog on a leash and stayed little bit of distance for the rest of the crowd. The dog was being well behaved laying at my feet. However, I was told that if I didn't remove the dog from the area the coach would "yell at my granddaughter". This is crazy. I give the park 4 stars. I give the girls soccer team coach one star. So I'm going somewhere in the middle with a 3 star rating. read more

This place is awesome for a private party. It's small so it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. They have a park, basketball court, covered picnic area and between them is a grassy area. It is a little far from the freeway, but the place is awesome for adult and children bbqs. read more

The Baker Ranch Community Park is a great park. The park has a big field, for baseball, cricket, for dogs and much more. It also includes a big play structure for kids to play at. It has one basketball court ( I think they should have one more). The main reason I give the park 4 stars is because of the bathroom. The bathroom is nasty and gross. It seems to me that they spent a great amount of time working on the structures and the field, but it looks like they spent 5% on the bathroom. But other than that, this is a great park to walk, have a meal, run, play and possibly anything else! read more

Great park for the community, I only give it 3 stars because unfortunately every time my family walks over to the park, we notice people that don't live in this community are here and leave the park a mess! People at the park are always asking us to use our fobs to get into the tennis courts or restrooms. That's the only bad thing about these parks, they are already getting run down due to people that don't belong and don't care about keeping it nice! read more

Brand new, beautiful park in Foothill Ranch area. Perfect place to bring your kids at least one or older (they need to be able to walk and know not to put sand in their mouths). I absolutely love this park! It is so beautiful and well kept. The best part about it is the giant slide. The next best thing about it is that the grass is not real, it is astro turf. If your kids like some adventure bring a cardboard box and some wax paper and let them slide down the hill on it. My kids even went down the slide on the box. I would love to have a birthday party here next year. The field is enormous and is perfect for playing ball and there is a trail that goes all the way around in a circle. We love this park! There are multiple playgrounds that make it perfect for kids of any age. Also has benches, picnic tables and clean bathrooms close to the playgrounds and plenty of parking. My only complaint is no swings...my kids basis for judging a park, so I took away a star for that. Overall a great park that my one and three year old both enjoy! read more
