They left me bad taste. I went in bought a safe, scheduled next week delivery paid in full. Got a call the 2nd day saying some how inventory went away no delivery for 4 weeks. So one week later I called to verify another safe was in stock and would like to get that one because its sooner, Brett confirmed it took payment info signed contract and scheduled for next week delivery. Guess what, you are right, he called the next day apologized profusely the inventory is no where to be found, and I need to wait another 8 weeks. And the worst part was to getting the refund back, had to dispute the transaction for the first time in my life because after weeks of not receiving credit I called and they said they will be mailing the check in another 5-7 days. Enough for the BS, not worth the effort calling them out, just let my bank do the work. They are unreliable and dishonest, which in security business, it's a big no no. I have battled a long time whether to leave this review or not. Local small business are hard and I had good experience with them 9 years ago, but it seems time has changed, every small business went downhill and it's PITA to deal with after COVID. If I could give this "business" negative stars I would because they do not follow through on their appointments. Two separate days and times they never called and never showed up and both times I had to call them to find out what was going on. Each time I waited around for them to show up for over 2hrs so they wasted over 5hrs of my time for one simple job that was never completed. The second time I actually called them before to confirm and they said I would receive a call roughly 30min before they would show up. Funny they make you sign and agree to pay them $200 if you cancel a job the same day when they of course do not compensate you or even offer a discount when they waste your time and do not show up nor will they even give you a courtesy call to tell you they will be late. I would do business with another company that values customers. Save yourself the frustration of dealing with this very unprofessional company. read more

After searching for Safes and Orange County on the internet, I came across Maximum Security. I visited the store a few months ago to get an overview Shep the owner gave me a nice walk thru the different safe categories. After doing my research, I came back today to purchase a save and looking forward to get it delivered next week. They offer installation services in your house, which is a big plus, since a good safe weight a lot. Maximum Security offers higher end safes. Of course they cost more than the plastic boxes you get at home improvement stores or Costco. PS: I bought a used safe from their high-end line, which saved me about 35 % over a brand new safe. read more

He was knowledgeable and helped decide on the best safe that I was interested in with the restrictions I had. Turns out we were right. With the limited space I had the safe fit perfectly. The delivery guys were awesome as well. I unfortunately couldn't be there when it was delivered. But the guys did a great job and they were so helpful and courteous to my wife. I was researching safes a few months ago and signed up for their email specials. I got an email a week ago stating that they had a great deal on AMSEC safes for 999.00 and decided to order one. I only had one day off to be home and wait for the delivery. I was able to purchase the safe online, and they called me the next day to discuss delivery options. They were able to accommodate my very tight schedule! On delivery day the driver had great communication, calling me when they were 20 minutes away. The guys arrived on time and were extremely professional. I live in a 3 story town home and they had to negotiate a total of 29 steps. They arrived, unboxed, and delivered my safe upstairs in less than 30 minutes! They showed me how to change the combo and asked if I had any other questions, then they were on their way. One thing I really liked about the buying process was the sales people were never trying to up-sell me just for the sake of getting more money from me. I recently purchased the Cannon CA23 gun safe model and I couldn't be happier with it. Jeff, who showed me around the Maximum Securities Safes' showroom, was professional and knowledgeable. He didn't try to tell me what I wanted to hear but rather what would best fit my needs. My delivery of the safe was on time and they even called a half hour ahead to let me know they were on their way. I can't recall the two gentlemen's names that helped install my safe but they too were professional, quick, and knowledgeable. This is my one and only safe so I can't speak on experience but I can tell people Maximum Security Safes will always have my business if I ever decide to purchase another safe in the future! read more

Edit: After I posted this review, Shep reached out to me to resolve the issue. I appreciate that he personally replaced my lock, and explained how to maintain it. He did not request that I remove or edit my review, but I wanted to follow up. I've removed comments about the quality of the lock because the issues might have been my own error. Original text: The lock failed on this safe shortly after it was delivered. For years Shep has alternated between telling me to replace the batteries and telling me that he would replace the lock. He would always say that he or someone else would schedule with me, but then that wouldn't happen. TBH, I only use the safe a few times a year, and so I'd forget about it until the next time I'd be unable to open it. Replacing the batteries and waiting for 24 hours would "solve" the problem, except not really. Finally, the last time Shep dropped off the face of the earth I called a locksmith. [Removed.] Although Shep originally said he would replace the lock at no charge, I've subsequently offered to split the cost with him if he would just finally show up. But I'm tired of the runaround and I'm paying someone else to put in a proper lock. Finally. [Removed.] read more

Really want to rave about my experience with Maximum Security Safes. Not only did I receive an enormous amount of assistance in selecting the right safe for my home, but I was impressed with their selection and pricing. Delivery was prompt and they were very careful and efficient. I just did a remodel and they were scrupulous in being careful not to nick walls or furniture as they moved the safe in. They laid down heavy padding every step of the way so floors were kept clean and unmarked. They took pains to be sure the safe was bolted down and leveled and I received instruction on how to set the combination. They waited to be sure everything worked properly and I was satisfied. Unbelievable service. Maximum safes helped us choose the perfect safe for our needs. When they delivered it we needed them to fit it into a closet 36" off the floor. Had a great experience purchasing here. The prices were great, and the selection was equally wonderful. Dealt with Shep, who I believe is the owner, and he was very honest, friendly and efficient. From purchase to installation was exactly 1 week. Amazing! Delivery was also great. The delivery folks called us when they left the warehouse, and again about 10 minutes out, so we always knew exactly when they would arrive. They were very careful, and laid down drop cloths to protect our carpet. Nothing was damaged and they put the safe exactly where we wanted it. No muss, no fuss. The delivery guys were also very friendly and kept us in the loop with everything during the installation. After installation, they explained how to use all aspects of the safe. Excellent experience that couldn't have gone much better. There was a slight billing snafu, but Shep's wife (I wish I could remember her name) was awesome and got it all straightened out. When it's time to get another safe, Maximum Security will be where I go. PS.. Just a tip before you go. If you plan to have the safe delivered upstairs, make sure you have a count of how many stairs you have, as there is a charge per step. read more
