We booked MAWS Transportation for our wedding this past September. Our schedule changed a few times leading up to the wedding, but this was never a problem. What I really liked about MAWS was their flexibility to schedule in 2-hour increments. This allowed us to book MAWS to shuttle guests from their hotels to the ceremony site & to the reception and then a few hours later (at the end of the night) pick up guests and take them back to their hotels. The shuttle drivers were friendly, on-time, and accommodating! The price was very competitive for the services offered. I would definitely recommend booking with MAWS for a special occasion event in Mammoth Lakes. read more

Plane landed in Bishop 90 mins ago and we waited for another plane to deplane and grab luggage so it will take us 3 hours to get to our Mammoth Village accommodations, not the hour that was advertised. Do yourself a favor and rent a car so you don't have to deal with MAWS. read more

If you are going to or from the Mammoth Airport, they are very bad at communicating with Advanced Air at Mammoth Airport. If your flight is delayed or arrives late you will be left without a pick-up as I was . There was no communication after that to resolve the issue . On my return to Los Angeles my flight was delayed, and the dispatch was unable to handle a change of pick up time. It's really only a 4 mile drive to the airport. Don't need to be there two hours early. I'm very disappointed in their service. read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS SHUTTLE COMPANY. They do not communicate well, run late/leave you behind. No one needs this kind of stress trying to get to the airport. One shuttle was 45+ min late to picking up a member of our group. When the driver arrived, he asked whether my friend had any ski bags because otherwise, he'd not fit. Luckily he did not, but this is a ski town... friend said that later passengers were told to wait for additional cars to pick them up because the shuttle no longer had space for their bags. Why overbook yourself like this?! When 3 more members of our group left, the shuttle was again a hour late. We called and found out that they had been left behind and a Ford Fusion would be coming to pick them up. They have 3 carry-on suitcases, 3 backpacks and 1 ski bag... luckily the driver called back and offered a SUV... but at this point, they're over a hour late. read more

Did they get us there. Yes. But... After having issues with Enterprise car rental at the Bishop Airport not having our reserved and paid for vehicle, we were told to take "the shuttle service" to our destination, Mammoth Lakes, which was about an hour away. Two other couples who flew in also did not get their car rentals, so we all took the shuttle together. It was confusing and hectic and it was not explained to us that MAWS was a different service that was NOT part of Enterprise. We were not explicitly told that at any point. We were also told 45 minutes into the drive that we would get a bill for the shuttle service though we were not told how much it would be and the cost was NOT discussed before we agreed to the service. In the end, my husband and I were charged $130 for the one way ride. Another couple on the shuttle was told that their location was outside of the typical range so they would be considered a "private shuttle" which billed at a rate of $450 per ride. This was absolutely ridiculous as NONE of this was discussed with any of us travelers before agreeing to shuttle services. All of us were under the impression this service was being provided by Enterprise since they did not have our car rentals. We also were not informed that there were other, cheaper shuttle services that could be potential ways to get to our destinations and were told this shuttle service was our only choice. Overall it was very unprofessional and a questionable way to conduct business. I would not use them again. read more

Their customer service is just awful. My plane got cancelled to Mammoth (BIH) and the airline said they could not get me there for 2 days. I had to cancel my trip. That is beyond anyone's control. With several phone calls, emails and texts to MAWS they were unresponsive. The phone system just hangs up on you when. It's your turn. No replies for texts or emails for days. And when the finally reply they hide behind their 24 cancellation policy and refuse to issue a refund. Find another service! read more

We used MAWS for transport from BIH to our condo at Mammoth Green having booked a round trip by telephone and paid in advance. Our flight was delayed but they were waiting for us when our flight arrived and delivered us to the door of our condo. It was perfect. However, on the day of our return to BIH we waited in the condo driveway as we'd had to check out at 10am, the same time MAWS had confirmed that they would pick us up. We waited for 40 minutes with no text, email or call from the service. Calling them produced only a recording of how busy they were. Finally a driver showed up with a sedan and was able to fit our luggage, including skis and boot bags, into the car. Apparently one of the MAWS shuttle vans was not running and there was not room for us in the only one which was running, though we had paid in advance. They had my telephone and email address but no one contacted us to alert that they would be late but would collect us as planned. Clearly it was a stress filled 40 minute wait with no way to confirm that we had not been forgotten. Thankfully our driver got us to the airport safely anyway. The transport at the beginning of our trip was great but the return was a disappointing mess of lack of communication with customers. read more

This was our first visit to Yosemite and only here for a couple days so I decided to schedule a private tour of Yosemite for my husband and I . Super easy to schedule online and MAWS answered questions promptly. Received a couple texts with reminders and a phone call couple days before to give us info about what to expect - super professional and very friendly ! Ian arrived on time on morning of tour. Ian was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating ! we had a fantastic time being driven all over Yosemite and a couple walking tours. Learned so much- about Yosemite and the surrounding areas! This Yosemite tour was well worth the money and a once in a life time experience. Will definitely use MAWS again when in area as they have many many awesome transportation/ tour services . "The roads are closed and the airport is closed" Like he didn't know it 30 seconds ago when he is putting luggage in the car. Whatever.....Of course, there is a blizzard going on, whiteout conditions....maybe he got scared or something. I don't know. He and his boss start pretending like they are calling 911. Seriously? Two grown men...Calling themselves "All weather Shuttle". Might as well drive a cab in Acapulco or something...Refused to drive us to Bishop, CA to pick up a rental car. Ongoing harassing texts after the fact threatening police reports and lawsuits? Really? Just return the money for the fare you didn't fulfill. You charged that credit card pretty darn quick. We've used this service on our last two trips to Mammoth, and it's been top-notch each time. The drivers have all been friendly and knowledgeable.. We forgot to book in advance on our second trip in and was lucky enough to run into a MAWS vehicle doing a drop-off. We were desperate for a ride, at that point, and would've been happy to pay a premium. The driver turned out to be an owner/manager helping backfill on a busy day, and he wouldn't even accept payment for the ride! After my wife and I decided to make a trip to Mammoth (our first) our next decision was how are we going to get to and from the airport? After looking at the options, MAWS stood out as the no-brainer choice and we were not disappointed! Making a reservation was a breeze on their website and we received both email confirmation and text confirmation (thumbs up for the communication!). I had to make a small change to the pickup time but that was easy too! After arriving at the airport we received a text saying that our driver (Lucas) was here - after he greeted us he took our luggage and off we went in town. MAWS Transportation were absolutely incredible! They were extremely helpful from the moment we contacted them and they booked us in for transportation and they helped us with everything and took us to our hotel. The driver going to our hotel was brilliant and so accommodating. Unfortunately we had to leave early, but MAWS booked us a shuttle back to the airport and came to our hotel, right outside our room. MAWS is AMAZING! You can't beat their service. We used them for transportation during our wedding. They had 2 vehicles for us. One was a 14 passenger van for our bridal party. And then we had a luxury SUV for me and my husband. They took us from the church in Mammoth Lakes to the reception at Convict Lake, and made multiple stops on the way so we could take pictures! At the end of the night, they drove our guests who needed a ride back into town in Mammoth. They made multiple trips and made sure that everyone got home safe. I used MAWS transportation to shuttle my guests at my Mammoth wedding last weekend. Lucas was very responsive leading up to my wedding. My timeline/schedule changed many times and it was never an issue. I did not have to worry at all on my actual wedding day. The shuttles were early & where they needed to be. My guests said that the drivers were friendly & accommodating. We had most of our guests staying at the Mountainback condos and therefore that was our drop off location after the wedding. However, the drivers went the extra mile and dropped off guests staying in another condo at their place. They also dropped off other guests that were going to the after party directly at the bar. My husband and I booked the Yosemite National Park Tour and Mammoth Lakes Tour with Mammoth All Weather Shuttle in mid September 2016. Lucas was our driver/tour guide and his service was excellent! He showed us around and shared fun and interesting information about each area with us. The Yosemite tour was from 7am - 6pm and Lucas prepared snacks, drinks and sandwiches for us which was very thoughtful.
