My friend and I were backpacking on the John Muir Trail and had left our car at the end of our trail. We ended up having to turn around due to weather complications, and had to find a way to get from Mammoth to the Reds Meadow Resort. Within a half hour of calling, Robert showed up and brought us to our destination. His price was very affordable (half of what the other services wanted to charge), and he took us straight to our car with no issues at all. Robert's shuttle service was exactly what I was looking for. My daughter and I were through hiking the JMT and I parked at Happy Isles and wanted a direct ride to Horseshoe meadows. Other options were more affordable, but considering various stops along the way, which would have made it a full day, it was worth the shuttle which was a direct 5 hour ride. Also, I felt vary safe from Covid exposure with the mask requirement and the glass shield between the front and back. Robert was nice and professional and a safe driver. Worth every penny! We called Robert for a ride to the Restaurant at Covict Lake from our condo near Mammoth ski area because it was snowing and we wanted to enjoy some cocktails and wine with dinner. The other services in town were slow to respond and had similar cost or more. Robert was responsive, on time, knows the area very well, and is a nice, likeable guy. If you want great, reliable service you need to call these guys. We came for a family ski vacation in Jan and it happened to fall in the middle of the storm. Our condo offered free taxi service but they were so unreliable that we called around and found Robert. He was so great that we decided to call him for the rest of the week. During my stay in June Lake, I used Sierra Shuttle to get to and from Mammoth Lakes for some personal business. Robert (owner/driver) was especially accomodating: he has an extensive knowledge of the area (esp. ski slopes), and he is very courteous, professional, and dependable when it comes to service -- he really works with you to accomodate your schedule and he always arrived 5-10 minutes early when picking me up! His prices are very reasonable and affordable, particularly when compared to other options in the area. They got friendly and excellent drivers. They charge reasonably. It was a great regret that we did not use their service until the day we left Mammoth. We were using Mammoth Taxi all the time when we were in Mammoth. Mammoth Taxis charged expensive rates. The owner of Sierra Shuttle Service told us that fewer people know them because they did not spend much on promotion. Sierra's rates are much more reasonable. They also provide TAXi service.
