We were stuck in Bishop with a broken down SUV, and needed to make it to Mammoth that day to get picked up by friends. Lucas was super helpful getting us a ride withn just a few hours, Abe was super friendly and had great stories of decades living in Mammoth, and everyone was so nice accomodating us when we waited for our friends to come and pick us up. If you miss the public Mon-Fri public bus, there are very few options, but MAWS came though. read more

MAWS transportation was truly a first class experience with great customer service. First they sent out notification prior to our pickup insuring our transportation was scheduled. When we arrived at the airport our driver was waiting at the terminal to help us with our bags. Mammoth All Weather Shuttle (MAWS) provided our group of 9 snowboarders and all our gear with comfortable, reliable round trip transportation from Mammoth to Lake Tahoe during the Valentine's holiday (Feb. 12-14) this year. Our MAWS's driver was Lucas. He was on-time, professional, friendly, and very familiar with the areas we were going: Squaw Valley, Sierra at Tahoe, and even the casinos in Reno! :) Our driver was careful and always delivered us and our gear safely to the ski resorts and would be waiting to pick us up afterwards, thank you! Their 2011 extended van was very clean inside and out and had brand new all terrain tires. The inside was spacious and had plenty of comfortable seating for all of us! (All of our gear was being safely towed in a trailer behind our van.) They had a good sound system and DVD player in the van so that we could watch snowboarding videos and get more hyped about our trip too! I would definitely recommend MAWS to any of my close friends or family. MAWS was a great way to get around Lake Tahoe's many ski resorts for 3 days! Arrived in Mammoth Lakes and was unable to obtain a Lyft to drop me off in Yosemite for my backpacking adventure. Normally, MAWS requires a reservation, but I decided to phone MAWS anyways. Lucas answered my call and fortunately had some time in his schedule to make the magic work. Within less than 30 minutes Lucas arrived to pick me up and my 4 other friends. The vehicle was a black Ford Expedition with lots of room and clean as a button. We managed to easily fit ourselves along with our massive backpacks in his vehicle. Lucas is a local and knows the area very well. Very easy going and was extremely professional and friendly. My friends and I were grateful for his service in such short notice. I almost never write reviews, so take this as a testament of how awesome Lucas and his team at MAWS are. I had a 4 day trip to Mammoth, when we arrived Lucas had already upgraded my group to a 14-seat van making it really easy to haul the gear. When my group was ready to leave Lucas accommodated a requested pickup location change - the Village instead of our condo - without a problem. The flight home was cancelled, and sure enough Lucas was there to help shuttle me and my friends, and a lady who was unable to contact her son, back to town for the night ($15 each since he was already out). He even offered to set us up with a ride back to LA; would be $100 per person if there were 14 people because of the flat rate on the van. He picked us up the next morning and had already contacted a rental car agent at the airport who helped set us up with a car to get back to LA, preventing us from having to pay for a ride to Bishop. Lucas is truly a gentleman and a scholar, my only worry being that his business would grow too much and he would be unable to provide such excellent service. Why would you book any other shuttle service in Mammoth? MAWS is really a cut above. read more

Used MAWS for a ride from Yosemite to Mammoth Lakes for a backpacking trip. Lucas was very easy to work with and very accommodating. Initially asked to be picked up @ 6am in Yosemite and without hesitation Lucas said that would be no problem. That means they'd have to be on the road by 330am. I found myself in urgent need to get back to my car as I had just come off a thru hike. I texted MAWS Transportation late in the evening for a ride from a bus stop to my car (the last leg after two buses and a hitched ride). I received a call back within an hour and was able to work out what stop and time would be best. My driver drove up just as I got off my bus at 8pm and drove me the final hour and a half to my car. My driver was and both nice and a safe driver. Yes, it was a bit pricey. And I probably would not use the service if I had the time (I actually would have had to spend another night in a hotel on my trip back to my car due to the bus schedule). We had a great tour of Yosemite! Three of us with our tour guide, Lucas had a wonderful day trip full of beautiful sights and insights about this national treasure. Our thirteen year old son was captivated by the natural beauty and wildlife. We saw the giant Sequoias, all the waterfalls and landmarks, deer and a bear! We had lunch at the edge of a river in Yosemite Valley and stopped at the general store to pick up souvenirs. My husband and I realized we could not have seen as much as we did on our own.
