Talk about a lake loaded with the Oregon Trout! We spent a day at other main lakes but not a single bite, being a saltwater fisherman who has his own spots it was discouraging not getting a bite. Came to Crystal Crag Lodge as we rented for a very reasonable price! Their service was awesome as they walked down to the dock and had everything filled out for us so that the process was quick. We highly recommend them if you are looking to catch some big trout and want to deal with amazing people. We ended up renting 2 days in a row just filling up the cooler to take home back to LA. We will definitely be back for our yearly trip!

We rented a 10 passenger pontoon boat for a partial day of fishing. At first we were so pleased with CJ, she was helpful and kind and let us use it an hour earlier than anticipated which we were beyond ready to write an amazing review. Our phones died while out fishing since we had been doing so for 5 hours, when we realized that the sun started going down and one of the people we were with earlier was waving us down we rushed back to the dock. CJ was standing there, hands on waist and while walking up asked for the key. We knew we were in the absolute wrong for being late and started to apologize PROFUSELY. She said she had waited 45 mins for us and she doesn't care if we apologize. She didn't want to hear our sorry. I was ready to offer to pay for the additional time used along with the extra time she had to stay waiting, UNTIL she said to NEVER call them again as we will not be welcomed back. The amount of attitude given in front of young children was absolutely ridiculous. Being upset is understandable but being disrespectful is not. Even with the amount of disrespect given I was still apologizing. One of the guests with us was really upset with how awful she was being as this was not intentional at all. We genuinely felt horrible and again were willing to pay for the inconvenience. Since she kept going on and on about how we were not welcome to be there and to leave immediately the other guest with us told her that was enough. She needed to stop. She wouldn't. She just waved us off and snatched the keys. I'm a VP of Operations and have never spoke to someone that way nor would I tolerate an employee doing so. Like I said upset is understandable but disrespect is no

Crystal Crag Lodge offers rustic cabins with a 5-star view of Lake Mary. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ntCSUykww43qewOzPIe5KQ?select=IDvu8fqrDVaeEeCarLU42w Nestled above the Twin Lakes of Mammoth, Crystal Crag Lodge has 21 cabins to choose from. They're dog friendly and only charge an extra $10 per pet. They offer boat rentals and lake shore fishing is only steps away from the cabins. The cabin I stayed at was Crystal, it had a full kitchen, fireplace and bathroom with a shower. The nice thing about Crystal is that it had it's own driveway. Some of the other cabins share a driveway. The best thing about Crystal Crag Lodge is the view. You step outside on to your private patio and just soak in the view. You should also be aware that there are bears around. One came down to investigate as I was BBQing, he must have smelled the grill and wanted to crash the party. He was about 20 feet away, but high tailed it up the hill as soon as I pulled my camera out. I guess he was camera shy. If you feel the need to get away from the rat race and want some quiet time to fish and maybe do some mountain biking, I can't think of a better place to go than Crystal Crag Lodge.

This place is what every child should have as a family vacation memory !

Amazing ! The views are stunning. The fishing was great . The staff top notch. Clean cabins with hot showers make for a great nights sleep and early morning fishing trip. Already planing for next year.

Just got back home after spending 7 wonderful nights in Cabin "George " A 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom rustic cabin. This cabin had the most incredible view of Lake Mary. We loved our real wood burning fireplace. (We were brought all the wood we needed by the most incredible friendly staff) I loved our cute little kitchen, which was really well stocked with all the pans, utensils, etc. That you would need. Had a great Weber Barbecue on our deck. I planned and packed most of our food for the week. Last night had a Barbecue with steak and corn on the cob. We did want to go into town one night to have pizza. We asked the manager C.J., and she referred us to a great restaurant with great pizza. Crystal Crag Lodge is a true gem. It's rustic, a true cabin experience. Very clean, clean linens and towels. The staff bend over backwards to help all their guests to feel right at home. We booked another week stay for June 2019! That's how much we enjoyed ourselves. My husband and myself with our small dog. I have stayed here before about 25 years ago. So, this was not my first time there. The lodge has new owners and are now dog friendly. Which we love as we like to bring our dog on vacations. Thank you Crystal Crag Lodge! See you next year!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend for his birthday get-a-way and we had an absolute blast! CJ at the front desk was very helpful while I was making the reservation. The cabin is equipped as described so pay attention to their list of items and DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE BEANS! We stayed in one of the newer cabins that is walking distance to the lake for great fishing! We caught 4 fish while we were there, one from the shore and 3 from one of their motor boast we rented for the day! The motor boat had a bit of a trick to them to get them to work, but we managed okay. I would totally recommend staying here to fish at the lake!

Just got this email from crystal crag, just one more reason why we will not be returning, this place is a joke, room smelled like propane, cabin was in need of fixing but yet they want to charge you 250$ a night, how about some of the money goes back into the cabins, probably one of the worst cabins I have ever stayed in.

Just outside the Virginia cabin! Look at that view.

Great fishing, "rustic" cabins. It's not the Sheraton, it's cabins by the lake. Great staff too. A regular stay for our fishing group.

Does anyone have a comment rather to rent out Ruby or Meca. We are also renting Amber. We're told Meca is right next door to Amber but Ruby has a slightly better view of Lake Mary. View of Lake or proximity to Amber Cabin. Any comments?

I was afraid that since the road was closed that we'd have to time the trolley to take us up to the lake.

Nomadness Rentals maintained great communication from the moment we made the reservation and…read morethroughout our stay. We didn't have any issues during our stay at the #570 Modern Mountain Retreat in an Idyllic Creekside. The condo had everything we needed and had no issues. It was well updated and the decor was pretty and modern. The available appliances were great (toaster oven, air fryer, large Hamilton crock pot, large tub washer/dryer, etc.) and in good working order. I must highlight, the kitchen knives were good quality and sharp. Quality plates and silverware. Parking was easy and convenient. The hot tub was the building adjacent from our rental. We very much enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly. We will definitely reserve this rental again.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. During a 3-night stay, we experienced numerous maintenance failures and extremely poor support. This unit is clearly not well maintained. The first night, the circuit breaker tripped and we lost power and lights in most of the unit for 12 hours. I called and messaged repeatedly and could not get help. Cooking in pitch black wasn't easy. There was no after-hours emergency number on their voicemail at the time (this appeared only AFTER the incident when I complained). I requested compensation and received none. I was even told there were "no issues," despite being on the phone during business hours and receiving verbal instructions on how to fix it myself. This involved first finding the circuit box outside, then resetting the switches & GFI buttons inside. Finding the unit was also unnecessarily difficult. It's in Building G. We searched for 45 minutes in the dark. This information is buried under "Amenities" instead of being included with check-in instructions. When I pointed this out, I was treated like I was the problem. Additional issues included a TV that randomly stopped working (outlet broke), an extremely finicky furnace (we fixed a broken wire), a broken wall heater, an unsafe and unusable couch bed (claiming it is 'fine' should reflect their standards) pellet bags piled in the living area, flimsy fixtures, a shower door that wouldn't close, and loud furnace/vent noises at night. They want to argue with me because they say it's an easy fix. Well this isn't my house. All I know is the power is out and I have no help in the dark. Don't know where the box is don't know the switches. Plus this was fun- they had a lock in the circuit box! No accountability. Bottom line: poorly maintained unit and terrible management. Their response below alone has been just as dismissive as they have always been. Beware

I came in here around 11am, however, their restaurant doesn't open until noon. There is a really nice lounge area where there are two fireplaces, jazz playing and a really cozy space to just relax. I just came here both days resting between XC sessions, ate some lunch I brought, had some water and just chilled out. Id definitely love to return and have a cocktail here and hang out here with a special someone, flirting the night away, plotting some clandestine tryst (maybe a beautiful hike into the mountains behind - looking at stars, listening for wild animals) and deeply enjoying life, big grins, and making each day count. We stayed in a cabin and it was fantastic. We had a deck overlooking Twin Lakes and the cliffs above, a kitchen where we cooked one night (who wants to leave heaven?), a fireplace, and was totally clean. The only downside and definitely a star deduction was perhaps it was too clean and smelled strongly of cleaning solution. We left open all the window and turned up the heat at night and turned on all the fans when we left for the day and by the second day, it was tolerable. Continental breakfast was fine with hard boiled eggs and yogurt for protein and cream cheese and peanut butter and all the toastable carbs. We loved our hikes and I loved kayaking on Twin Lakes. It's a perfect one-hour paddle and so peaceful up at the waterfall.

I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

Parking was easy to find & the unit was conveniently located on the ground floor. Nice landing with hooks to hang our coats & stuff. Good size living room & dining area with sliding doors that open to the patio. The kitchen was well equipped with everything necessary to make nice meals. It even came with a welcome package of paper towels, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, & some kitchen towels. Freshly laundered towels were also provided. Small TV, WiFi included. Rooms are decorated just like any typical cabin would. Here's the thing, if you have a bad back... highly suggest you sleep in one of the (2) twin beds in the other bedroom. Those feel a little more firm than the master's which felt like sleeping on cotton candy. Haha. Futon pulls out into a bed, but we just moved the mattress to the floor since it was pretty worn out & you can feel the springs on your back. Dining chairs are wobbly. Just needs a little updating for comfort. Otherwise, we love it here.

From the start, she went out of her way to make us feel like we were her only customers. We go to Mammoth 5-10 times a year, and decided we were going to investigate a vacation home there. We always go in November to start the ski season off, and we were speaking to a guest where we usually stay about the possibility of getting a place. She recommended Nicole at Resort Property Realty and gave us her number. We called just to investigate, and Nicole said she would drive out to the resort where we were staying and answer any questions. She drove in a pretty good snow storm to come meet us, spoke with us for about an hour, and fielded all our questions. That was over a year ago. We kept in touch and I kept receiving her listing emails (per my request). She helped us develop a plan of attack on getting the right property, and she knew just what we were looking for, and in the area we wanted. For over a year, what we were looking for was not opening up, but suddenly, right before our next November trip, she emailed us with the perfect place for what we wanted. Amazing! By this time and with her help, we were ready to act and we had her put an offer on it, site unseen. We trusted her judgement on what we were looking for and she told us it matched exactly what we wanted, so we went with it. From start to finish, she was incredible! She got us into escrow so fast, and even though there were two other contingencies with the seller, we opened and closed the deal in under a month. Better yet, she arranged everything from afar for us and kept us constantly in the loop with all that was happening during the sale. There were hardly any hiccups between what we were asking and what the sellers were asking, and I believe that was because of Nicole and her excellent communication skills. We now have the beautiful place we've been dreaming of, and we can't thank her enough for all of her help! Yes, we highly recommend Nicole at Resort Property Realty.
