I towed my mother's Honda Accord to across the street 3525 Peachtree Industrial Blvd (Firestone) due to brake failure. They charged us $2600 and replaced every brake component known to man. Upon picking up the vehicle 5 days later, my mother noticed the brakes not working properly and not stopping. She decided to go to Mavis due to her not trusting Firestone anymore. Mike (Mavis service manager) took care of her and managed to call me to let me know that Firestone put my mother's life in danger by leaving the caliper pin bolts loose which caused the brake pd not to compress properly. He also advised me that the brake lines were not bled properly and the brake pedal sunk to the floor. I went into Mavis later that day to thank them for taking care of my mother. The staff here deserve medals as they saved my mother's life and they did not charge us due to Firestone's mistake. The world needs more honest and helpful shops like Mavis. First, they rounded my lug nut (which they claimed that it was there when I heard their impact gun spinning on there), then they did a terrible job on my alignment, and had the nerve to snap my driver rear toe bolt!! Horrible experience. They solicited additional services which I brought, they gave me a quote but charged me more. I bought it to their attention, and they said it was additional and that was standard, I said it should have been the price quoted. The service advisor just looked at me. I used Mavis on Peachtree Industrial for tires AND car maintenance. The manager is outstanding and my wait was very short. I was able to get in today because of headlight issues with my car. Joe, the store manager, is a Master Mechanic. He is the difference, the quality and the reason to go here. 9ther Mavis stores do not have a manager. As professional, efficient kind and thorough. Adequate service, terrible timing. I was twice assured a tire swap would take 30-40 minutes but got to enjoy sitting in the shop for more than three hours. It matters how long a car is going to be in the shop, considering you have to plan your entire day around the car's repair. read more

This place used to be great and was my go to. Labor is short and that is understandable. However, the manager is mismanaging customer expectations, blaming his employees to customers, and the employees are all yelling and fighting in the garage. I waited for over 3 hours and other customers who had been told much shorter wait times did as well. It was a nightmare experience. Disappointing. read more

This location does NOT provide good service, is not trustworthy or reliable and is pricey especially for the quality of service. I also did not like the condition of my car when they finished. The seat & floor was dirty, steering wheel was grimy. Additionally, the floor room isn't clean, not well staffed and looks like a pop-up shop...nothing is in it but a desk, handwritten notes of instruction on the front door. Go to the Mavis around the corner or Pleasant Hill. You'll be more than Pleasantly Pleased! I went to Mavis tires, 3550 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Duluth, GA because I had a nail in my tire. They said that I needed a new tire and brake pads. The mechanic removed the wheel liner and told the manager that he couldn't remove the wheel from the tire. I saw him beating at the wheel.Never saw that before. He was properly instructed and my tire & brake pads were replaced. When I arrived to pick up my car, the car was in the parking lot running. Before I left I asked the mechanic why the "low tire pressure" light was still on? He said it would go off after a few hrs of driving. I returned for two days to no avail the light was still showing low time pressure despite having correct pressure. Day 3, I was told me that I needed a new tire sensor because I must have hit something or that they do go out and that I may as well purchase 3 more for all the tires because "they usually all go out around the same time". I declined the managers offer. I did not purchase 3 more sensors and took issue that I should have to pay for the one! The mechanic drove my car upon completion and attempted to reset the indicator but couldn't reset it. They should have known that or tested it prior, it wasn't broke when I came for the tire repair and I witnessed the mechanic attempting to manipulate the tire/wheel. There were 2 managers there. Doug was helpful and I sensed that he wanted to do more but was clearly discouraged by the other supervisor. I want to believe that he knew they broke it and wanted to make it right. A couple of weeks later the wheel liner (yes, the same side as the tire in question), flew off my car on the highway! Caused a bit of commotion on the highway but no accident. I had to get a new one installed to the tune of $392.92! read more
