Avoid this place We chose this place to watch Game 1 of the world series. I took the time to come to the place the day before to check if they would have the game and the sound from the broadcast on. When I walked up to the bartender and asked she responded "of course" like I was crazy for even asking. Fast forward to tonight, not only did they not have the game on, when we asked, we got an eye roll and they reluctantly, eventually put the game on without the sound. They refused to the game broadcast on stating they only do that for local teams. There was maybe 10-12 people there and no one was watching anything. To make the best of the situation, I put the game on my phone to listen while we watched. They responded by putting the bar music volume up louder. We ordered a drink and got the poutine. Server was not kind and the poutine was not poutine. Reheated, frozen shoestring fries and no cheese curds is not poutine. NOT WORTH $18. Avoid this place. Dishonest, bad service and overpriced bad food. There are so many other places. Do waste your money here.

Twin burger, it's like Bob's big boy. French Fries is an upgrade. It was good.

My first time here. Our waitress was friendly she gave us good advice, she was very conscientious regarding happy hour pricing and she informed us we could have a 1/2 order of dessert (bread pudding) well when we order dessert at the end of our meal. It is nice to be able to do that, not common in restaurants to do 1/2 orders. We ordered the Twin burgers, it comes with house made chips. We upgraded to French fries and Sweet potato fries. For $2.00 more. It made it $16. Everything was good. We order lemonade which was good but it came in a plastic cup which I prefer glass. My friend ordered the carrot cake and it was not good. The frosting was dry and sugary on top ( Actual grainy) and the middle of the cake had the cream cheese frosting which was better. I think the place is for people who are not picky but I am, so I won't be coming back. I wouldn't serve that carrot cake if I owned a restaurant. Anyway good for drinkers and sport people. Truly our waitress (Server Lyn H.) was the best part of my experience.

Glazed porkchop Potatoes and green beans.

The food is fine and the service was ok. Nothing wrong with the place but nothing that made it stand out.

I stick with the sandwiches/burgers and never been disappointed but my ultimate must go to is the poutine!

I was surprised how small it was but it gives it personality. I like it! This diner has been open for over 60 years and it has an old jukebox machine and other vintage decor that really transports you back in time and gives you a unique, fun experience! The service was fantastic!! All the staff were so nice and attentive the entire lunch. Everyone that works there seems so happy and it's definitely a family vibe. This diner is really unique and special and I can't wait to come back again. The food was amazing and portion sizes were excellent. Food service was quick and chef was singing songs it was fun to watch! It puts you in a good mood just sitting inside. The only complaint I have is that the vent in the ceiling does have dust on it and the fan was running so it needs to be cleaned down up there but honestly I really don't have anything but positive to say about this hidden gem, Jim's open kitchen!

Good vibe for a Friday night and the way it is decorated is done pretty well. Once we were seated we ordered and were served quickly. We got the shrimp appetizer to start. The breading was still good and crispy even with the sauce. Some good heat with a sweet finish. I got the Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato waffle fries and my brother for the morning after burger with French fries. We both enjoyed our choices. They give good sized servings of fries and the burger and cheesesteak were a decent size. I would definitely go back!

Asked for extra crispy french fries when my meal arrived the French fries uncooked soggy lump of potatoes The server did bring out another order of fries that were extra crispy, but by this time I had no interest in the meal. Server mentioned that the workers were changing shifts he apologized once again, but did notice that I didn't even touch my meal other than one bite of a cheeseburger didn't offer to take it off the bill. I still paid full price and tipped as I should.
