I was with a group local to the area and we stopped in. This was the best Greek gyro I've ever had. The owner Pete I think was great company as well with good humor. All their ingredients are fresh and he runs a smooth kitchen. Make this a must stop when in the ares. read more

Stopped for lunch. They do have seating but not a big space. Based on pricing I'd say they're very proud of their product. I ordered to go a gyro sandwich and fries. No drink. Almost $20. Fries were seasoned well and it was a large serving. Enough for three people at least. Gyro was fresh and not salty. Pita was fresh. Can't tell you about the tzatziki because it was scarce. No napkins, and no condiments on the stand where they belong. It was empty. Good quality but not right for me. Won't be back. read more

The food is wonderful easily exceeding my expectations for good Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the Classic gyro and it is the largest I've ever eaten. I'm shocked there's an option to add more meat. The food came really fast although the lean staff is busy completing to go orders. Simply Greek has a very small dining area which offers a picturesque tour of Greece. We decided to eat onsite and had a great conversation about visits to Greece and food. Highlights for me! read more

Absolutely amazing food! I have had them a dozen times since discovering them in the summer. Amazing burgers, gyros and loaded fries. Everyone there is super friendly and attentive. The owner has come out multiple times to just say hello, ask how everything was and shoot true breeze. His daughter works the counter most of the time I have been in and she is the nicest person I've ever encountered dealing with people in food service. She is just genuinely kind and nice. read more

This is my favorite restaurant, no contest. Best Greek place I've ever been to. I haven't had anything on the menu that wasn't surprisingly good. Only problem is it will seriously ruin Greek food for you anywhere else. The father and son owners also have a great sense of humor. They always make me laugh and leave with a smile. You won't regret trying this place. read more

The owner is almost always behind the counter and you are greeted in a familiar, he knows you kind of vibe. They were open during the lockdown and I really respect how he cared about his employees (because that matters just as much as the food). When people are happy to work, the food is prepared with love and you can taste it. Now to food...try the Aegean...thank me later. I also pick up their Junior cheeseburger for my children and the baklava is the owners' grandma's recipe. It's the truth! read more

4 years later and they are still top notch. Went recently and got grilled octopus, fried smelt, Greek salad and a gyro; all were remarkably tasty! The grilled octopus is some of the best I've had and the customer service is unmatched! I love it here. read more

Excellent Gyros, very generous with the amount you get. Fries on par with the sandwich. Family run joint that treats you like family. Small dining area but are moving to a larger spot down the street. read more

We were driving from Michigan to Virginia and randomly stopped at Simply Greek--so glad we did! Super friendly staff, cozy little spot, and the food was seriously good. Everything was made fresh to order! (& really good, quality and fresh ingredients) Huge shout out to the lady at the front register - she was so nice and had great recommendations! We were in and out in about 20 min for 4 meals. read more

This place has the best food, huge portions, excellent service. This is a Must Try once they reopen in their new facility!!! Can't wait

Yet another fantastic meal from this place! The onion rings were the best that I have ever tasted. Not to be outdone by the burgers, which were phenomenal. I can definitely see why you've been awarded the best burger of Cleveland so often. You guys are great read more

Exceptional service! Amazing food! We were out of town and tried it from the yelp reviews and it was PERFECT! My husband and I sat in the front window and enjoyed the ambiance and the family owned atmosphere and cool pictures that the owner has taken! I ordered the gyro Greek salad and it was DELICIOUS and my husband ordered a gyro that was EXCELLENT! We highly recommend giving Simply Greek your business!!! What a wonderful experience read more

Fresh food, great tasting very good wings they don't split the wings like other restaurants so if you order six wings, that's like 12 wings anywhere else read more

A busy, unpretentious counter-service restaurant with some tables for eat-in dining. I ordered a greek salad and a standard Gyro w/feta. I was hard pressed to finish both dishes. My wife ordered Chicken souvlaki. All food was excellent, service was timely, and prices were very reasonable. I wish this place was located in NJ near us. Recommended for everyone that likes greek food. read more

We drove about 15 minutes to get here because of the reviews we read on Yelp. We were not disappointed in the quality of food, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the service from the owner (Pete) and his son (Nick). Based on Pete's recommendation, we ordered a cheddar cheeseburger with grilled marinated onions and grilled mushrooms. Additionally, we ordered a classic gyro and beer battered onion rings. All of the food was excellent. The meat on the gyro was not the least bit greasy like some Greek restaurants, and the vegetables were so fresh and tasty. The gyro was one of the largest gyro sandwiches I've ever had, with so much meat and vegetables. My wife said the burger was absolutely delicious as well. The onion rings were very good and not greasy. Pete recommended his homemade barbecue sauce for the onion rings. I had never tried barbecue sauce with onion rings before, but his sauce was so good that you could dip shoe leather in it and think it tasted wonderful. We travel around the country full time, and we have already saved this restaurant in our "must visit list" when we return to this area of Ohio. Even if you are not a fan of Greek food, the hamburger was top-notch and worth coming there just for that. Equally as important as the great food was how you are treated by Pete and Nick. Within minutes of arriving, I felt like we were seeing an old friend we had not seen in many months. We left feeling like we had made two new friends who happened to make great tasting food. We will most definitely be back and highly recommend trying them out. read more

What a great find! First time here and you would have never guessed the quality and detail that goes into the food at Simply Greek. It is a classic hole in the wall with super high end food. Had the burger and it was outstanding. Give this place a try you wont be disappointed! read more

Simply Greek is a small local family-owned restaurant with fresh Greek food. We got the regular gyro (not pronounced ji-row as I was corrected), calamari and stuffed grape leaves. Food was prepared fresh and fast. Prices were average. I enjoyed the signs and pictures on the walls, especially the "Ji-row" signs. Definitely recommend! read more

Food was AMAZING!! Staff were friendly and we can't wait to go back! Had the largest gyros we have ever had!

My mom had said great things about this place and then we saw they were #1 on the Yelp Cleveland Top 50 places to eat and that they won an award for best burger in Ohio. All of this meant we were sold on trying it when we relocated our quarantine to my parents house. We got takeout and decided to try a gyro and the Brie burger. For the gyro we got the Titan which has 50% more meat. All of our food was great. I wouldn't order the Titan again because I felt like the meat to topping ratio was off. I took off some of the meat and ate it by itself and then I really enjoyed the gyro. The burger was incredibly flavorful. Unfortunately, they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked and I forgot to ask for it medium rare. It came well done, so it was way more cooked than I would have liked, but it was still delicious. Covid-19: my mom told us that they were able to pay over the phone and do curbside pickup a couple of months ago. When I called, I could order over the phone but they said I had to come inside to pay (no curbside pickup or paying over the phone). Then when my dad went to pickup the food, he said that neither of the two people he saw/interacted with were wearing masks (and masks are supposed to be required for employees in Ohio). I would have given it 5 stars for the food, but I took off a star for how they are handling Covid-19. While the food was great, I wouldn't go back unless they started wearing masks. read more

First time ever been here and the Gentlemen taking the order was very friendly, Order was for takeout, overall I actually think the Gyros have too much meat on them yes I can't believe I said that but I did. The Gyro Shaved Lamb meat was VERY salty and I do mean VERY salty , it overtook the taste . I didn't care for the tzatziki sauce either seemed to have a funny taste and I don't mean a good one.. Im sure they have some great food , maybe I just got a bad batch. But I like the Gyros at the West side market far much better and there cucumber sauce is outstanding there! Maybe next time Simply Greek. UPDATE SINCE NICKS response: Thanks for the response NICK, BUT you said" Perhaps someone on a lower salt diet would be more sensitive to the salt" Well Nick Im not on a low salt diet and to be truthful I had 2 others try a bite and these two people also said wow what's with the salt, so I know it surely was not me. I assure you I eat out all the time and some places you think are salty ...well your exceeded that limit! As far as mixing the sauce I don't know I just know I didn't taste a cucumber taste in your sauce at all. The large amount of meat , well I thought you might laugh about that but sometimes to much of a item loses in the original order if you get what I mean, maybe cause all the SALT.... read more

A nice little find on my travels back to California. This is a one of a kind fast casual restaurant, hand painted wood signs, true Greek blue and white facade as well. Menu is written on a blackboard with colored chalk and has classic Gyros as well as hand crafted burgers. Also french fries are fresh cut and the baklava is made on the premises using actual butter! I ordered a souvlaki gyro to go, it looked really good and had all the usual good fixings. It had the pressed meat rather than true roasted lamb souvlaki though. It was inexpensive so I still give it 5 stars. read more

Simply Greek - Charming front counter to place an order, take out food all day! - Greek Near Me - Solon, Ohio

In need of a filling lunch, my Dad and I headed to Simply Greek. There were a couple of folks inside already; both sitting and eating and ordering to-go. My Dad really enjoys a good gyro, having them before he'll always get the old faithful. I'm the same way with my Trojan Fries. Simple ingredients put together perfectly. My box is packed with so much food, I will have enough for meals for a couple of days it seems like! The owner brings out the food to us while we get a good laugh from the pictures and posters on the wall. This is a very dependable place. I know I will return. I know my dad will. The rest of the family will be very jealous when they get home and see the leftovers!! So good!! read more

Great food! Hole in the wall spot that I found on maps but exceeded expectations. Would rec

I used to love to ride my scooter down to uptown and get a gyro once a month when they were located in University Circle. They are in Solon, but that doesn't stop me. I go less frequently, but always happily. Best gyro in Cleveland. Friendly every time. Check out the silly things posted all over the restaurant - the decor is cheeky. Been here before and simply love their gyros. Friendly attentive staff. Not a lot of room to sit inside but you could get comfortable!!

This is the second time we've been here in two weeks! The food is so good! The portions are huge & the service is great . You feel welcomed when you come in here, not like some places where you feel like they are doing you a favor just waiting on you. The atmosphere very nice, lots of photos of Greece & video on one of the TV's. Come on in, you won't be disappointed read more

I ordered a gyro from this place since it was so highly rated. When I got there to pick up I found they were not social distancing. And some of the food prep staff was not wearing masks. I'm in town because both of my elderly parents caught Covid, so this restaurant's negligence makes me angry. I will NEVER go back there. Replying: Thank you Nick for your reply. It sounds like your kitchen is legal but somewhat hazardous, requiring exemptions. My gyro was good but not great. It was overly salty. I've had better in Oakland, CA. (Ikaros is the best and Troy never disappoints) I'm a staunch supporter of local small business. Only not when they put profits above people. When I arrived there were 3 people waiting plus four people in line for the cashier, in approximately 100 square feet, definitely not social distanced. Other local restaurants (Geraci's Pizza for one, and so delicious) are offering curbside pickup, limiting risks for customers and staff. Are you offering/considering anything similar? The sign on your window says, "FIGHT BACK" in huge letters, and, "eat well" added on in small letters. What does this mean to you? Considering the current issues in DC this feels like support for the insurrectionists. If that is not your intention you might want to change the wording. If that is what you intended to imply, then good for you for taking a stand, and you might find a lot of local support. But that would be another reason for me to boycott your business as a way for me to take a stand. I'll look forward to your reply. read more

This little hole in the wall is a delicious Greek restaurant hidden away in Solon. I was impressed by their burger--of all things. Their gyro was good too but I would recommend not ordering the larger size. The meat to condiment ratio ruins the gyro experience.
