Some surprises here: 1. Way bigger than you imagine from the outside. 2. Really cool decorated on the inside. 3. Huge menu. We stopped in for a lunch and decided each to have a salad, they were magnificent. Delicious fresh salad, tomatoes olives feta and covered with GYRO and chicken meat, abundant and delicious. Prices seem very fair and the place is clean with good service. This is a good place and you owe it to yourself to step out for something new and different. read more

The service was nice. I'm Greek. I grew up eating Greek food from first generation immigrants. The food here,sadly, was very disappointing. The food was really bland, and obviously microwaved warm...broiling the filo dough post microwaving could have gone a long way. We tried 3 dishes that were classic Greek cuisine (spanakopita, lentil soup, and pastitsio). They missed the mark by a long shot on all 3. Key spices were missing, texture was off, and most of it was pretty bland. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I wish people would know that they offer an amazing authentic greek food. The salad is the best salad I had here in Ohio. The dressing is the best. I love that they offer a variety of food in one plate too so you can try the best of greek food. I just love this place so much. The service is so good. The waitress i forgot her name but she is very nice and welcoming. She explained all the food to since we don't know what to order. And please don't forget to order baklava!!! We have eaten here a handful of times. And it's good every time. Nice authentic Greek place with a very friendly staff and very clean dining area. Food is great! I've had salad, gyro, hummus, flaming cheese, lemon soup, baklava, and it's all fresh and delicious. Can't go wrong with a to go or dine in. Plenty of parking and prices are reasonable. This casual, laid back Greek restaurant is an Akron area gem! Authentic, flavorful Greek cuisine, with Greek music playing low in the backround, and very kind, attentive employees. Every metro area should have a place like this! The highlight of our visit was the delectable 'Saganaki' appetizer, which is as much an experience, as it is an epic Greek delicacy! Imagine a Greek cheese, brought to you flambeed (flames leaping up high - they sprinkle Sherry on it and light it) in a skillet next to your table, and quickly extinguished with squeezes of fresh lemon! Wanted to eat authentic Greek and this place was the ticket! Great food, great service, nice sized protions so value was spot on. Only issue was the atmosphere. The television was loud and was distracting to our conversation. Would have preferred some music, something Mediterranean would have been perfect. Will go again if in the area. Friendly staff, Great food, good quality and prices. I had heard of Vasilis periodically over my years in the area but never had the opportunity or remembered to try them. Then a picture of their fish fry posted on insta on a Friday during lent so I had to try. Been back several times since and all I can say is Gyros are awesome. Fish fry and shrimp scampi were great. Fantastic Greek restaurant. We ordered the Dolmades as an appetizer and were very pleased. It's hard to get good Dolmades as many restaurants serve them with mushy rice and bloated with grease. Vasili's Dolmades were delicious. Pastitsio was excellent. And don't skip dessert. The baklava was made in house and served warm. Wonderful meal all around! read more

Rude and poor service! Ordered 3 Gyros, 1 with no onion. The woman on the phone repeated the order back to me. When my friend picked it up, she told him that they all had onions and I should just pick them off. That's a risky solution to the problem. What if there was a food allergy? When I returned the food to seek a refund, she was rude and tried to tell me that we did not order one without onions. Even though she repeated it back to me when ordered and told the guy picking it up that they forgot and put onions on all of them. I asked for a refund and she practically threw the money at me. No apology, explanation, or offer to remake the food. Just rude and mean. read more

One of the best greek restaurants I've been too! It's a cozy little restaurant in the valley, and it usually has a quiet atmosphere. If you love greek food this place is a must try. I always start off with the saganaki personally. It's a cheese that has a very rich flavor, and they come to your table and light it on fire! Every entree I've tried here the meat has always been cooked to perfection. I don't even like chicken that much, and I loved the chicken salad! I LOVE this place! They are great with our kids, friendly and really take pride in their restaurant. They have the BEST stuffed grape leaves I have ever had. Portions are big and the service is great! And they now have a license to serve beer. UPDATE: I still love the food at this restaurant, but when I went in today, no one was wearing a mask. That's still required by the state health department, I believe. I'm in a high risk category for Covid, so unfortunately we won't be back until after the pandemic ends. Disappointed. read more

I was visiting family in Cuyahoga Falls and wanted some good Greek, and Vasili's was the only place I could find. We were pleasantly surprised when we tried the food! I am 100% Greek, so I have great expectations, and Vasili's is 100% tiny and authentic! We'll be back! read more

I had a good meal at Vasilis today. The place was spotless, bathrooms were nice, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was really good. Not quite perfect, but overall a good meal for the money. We had a gyro, calamari and baklava. Nice big portions, and the gyro had very good meat. The gyro would have been better with cucumbers instead of wilted lettuce, and could have also used some feta. Definitely recommend this place. read more

It should have been a clue that the place was empty, but we figured it was 1pm on a Tuesday. We ordered hummus & veggies. Not sure what they served, but it wasn't hummus. It was a liquid with a sharp/canny taste. I ordered the trio appetizer & everything tasted microwaved & flavorless. Very disappointing. My sister ordered the smelt & it was fried in old grease that left a bitter after taste. Not a place I recommend eating. read more

I just ordered Vasili's for the first time thru Postmates and it was awesome! I got the flaming cheese and the pastitio-sp, and it was authentic and delicious! Loved the salad and the dressing as well. Pita bread was great too, and I am looking forward to the raspberry cheesecake later. I can't believe I have not tried this place sooner! I'm not a huge Greek food fan but Lord knows I love a good gyro. This guy does some voodoo with this pump that bastes the delicious spoil of meat in its own juices. The gyros are worth it alone. If you're doing the low carb thing get the gyro salad. Everything but the bread and it kills. Prices are more than fair and everyone is always friendly. read more

My friend and I enjoy going to locally owned restaurants, and we were very excited to try Vasilis. The restaurant itself was fine, and if I ever want baklava again, I will consider stopping by for a piece to go, it was excellent. My friend, and I both ordered an entrée that came with soup or salad... So we ordered our entrée with the salad and added on a cup of soup which we thought would be four dollars. Upon check out we were charged seven dollars for the side salad since we got both soup and salad, we were told this is how they do it when we order both a soup and salad with an entrée. This was not indicated on the menu, nor did the waitress bother to tell us that we are basically paying for a seven dollar cup of soup when it's really four dollars. I ordered the spanakopita which was mediocre, I'm not sure how old it was, but I think it was heated in a microwave because the philo was very tough. Neither of us could smell any fresh food cooking during the meal, which is odd, because the kitchen is open to the dining room. The service throughout, the meal was sketchy at best, and we felt we were not paid as much attention to as other customers in the restaurant. This was our first time here, and will probably be our last because the up charge on the extra bowl of soup was deceitful And because I work really hard for my money, and would like to experience a place with great service and food that is freshly cooked. read more

I am glad it was $2 off as I think the normal price of $9.29 just for the sandwich is too high. Overall, I am glad I chose to go here but stick to ordering off the lunch specials. The regular prices are too much. This small space was very busy with families so I am not worried about them staying in business haha! 4.25 stars.

There always seems to be one waitress for the whole place, who is also doing takeout orders. And one cook. So it can be a little bit of a wait sometimes but it's usually pretty quick, no more than 10-15 minute wait for food when it's busy and sometimes under 10 when it's slow. A nice patio outside if weather permits. But typically just sit at one of the booths

We put some of their Dill Dip on both, which did help and that dip is delicious. Overall, we wanted to like Nomz as it is right by the maker space market that was very cool and convenient. The place was clean as well, but we're hoping for some improvements before going back.

The best thing Nomz has going for it is its colorful logo - best to avoid for food.
