This was my first meal after fasting. The cassata cake was 10/10!! We split the slice of cake. I also had soup that was a 6/10, the tomato broth over powered the other ingredients. I still ate all of it, it was hearty warm and full of vegetables. The customer service was amazing! The waiter was attentive and informative. My family eats from this Aladdin's location at least once a month. We generally order takeout. I love the ease of ordering online and choosing a pickup time. I love the amazing variety on the menu! The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious! The hummus is the best in CLE! We love the new Pesto Hummus too! The soups and salads are all amazing! The kids menu has something for picky kids and the desserts are wonderful! The traditional Lebanese selections are the best around. As my brother who is half Lebanese would say, "Sahtayn!" Terrible experience. They didn't know what shawarma was even though it was on their menu. I looked on the website and what I was served looked nothing like it. I asked if they could substitute lamb for beef and they said no problem, but I was brought a plate of hummus with 4 chunks of lamb. No spices, pine nuts, tomatoes etc. I asked them to fix snd they threw a few nuts and pieces of tomato. Then to Top it off they charged me 6.50 for lamb substitute without telling me it was a different price. All they had to do was say a substitute was not allowed. I complained to server and manager and they said they were sorry snd would tell mgt. Did not offer to fix or take off up charge. I can't get enough of Aladdin's! Their hummus with hot sauce, yes, you must order their homemade hot sauce to mix in with your hummus, it's absolutely delicious! I'm not in to spicy foods, so trust me, it's a very mild hot sauce, and you won't regret mixing it in with your hummus, prior to dipping your veggies and pita bread in it. Consistency is key, and I must say, Aladdin's never let's me down, regardless of any location I've visited. I also order the grilled chicken pita roll. The chicken is served hot, it's well seasoned, and the meat is so tender and juicy every time! They add to the pita, grilled onions, tomatoes, and a divine honey mustard sauce. Mmmhmmm delicious! As for dessert, they have an incredible baklava, and so many various sweet cake options in the front of the restaurant. Your sweet senses will be on high alert! lol I have to say, these are the only few items I ever order on the menu, so forgive me for not commenting on more, but I can't get enough of this meal. 3.5 stars. I ordered takeout recently, and I have to say the staff is very nice. The food is fresh, but sadly there were a few problems with my order with the biggest offender being undercooked beef. (The other meats were done perfectly, though.) I think they were just having an off day, as it sounds like they had a crazy catering order going at the same time. Since they also forgot my utensils, I ended up just nibbling at the few larger things I could grab and took everything home later in the day. I normally love Aladdins. My husband and I pass this location frequently because it's near our home. He always tells me he doesn't want to eat here because the food is bad but I've always liked it. He was out one night last week so I ordered take out. Never again. Chicken meat (dark) was dry and burnt. Rice was also extremely dry. It seemed like they were both a day or two old and they were trying to get rid of it. Def won't come back to this location again. I like the Aladdin's Eatery chain. It's clean tasting food with lots of options and reasonably priced. The turkey salad, as plain as it sounds is actually quite good. I get it with the Aladdin's House Dressing instead (light on the dressing) and I ask for a side of their garlic sauce, which is VERY garlicky to add a little more flavor and kick. Their hummus is very smooth and creamy, slightly thinner than you'd expect. It's well flavored and while slightly higher price point for an appetizer both the small and large options are hearty portions. The small can easily be shared by 4-5 people. The pita is rather mediocre. It's thin, dry and while warm when it comes out, it stiffens quickly when it cools. The service here was really good today. Andrew was great with our large group. I've been eating at Alladins for years, and at multiple locations. I grew up going to their original location in the heights, but their chagrin falls location is just as good. I ordered our meal online and they responded saying that the pick up would be at 6:30 PM. I showed up at 6:30 and waited for 45 minutes while people who were there before me and after me all got their pick up orders, including the door dash guys. So I ended up just leaving. I paid for it online and contacted the restaurant through the app and we'll see what happens. Very very disappointing. The front of house just seems completely chaotic and for whatever the reason people working the front register have to go back-and-forth to the kitchen and it's very in efficient. There a lot of veggie options available. Favorites are the Pita Pitza and Spicy Kafta. Wish I liked more of the menu, but IMO it's unremarkable. Three of us came for lunch today. The water was off in Chagrin Falls where our office is located so that led us to try a place outside of the village. We were seated promptly when we entered at about 12:30. The place was pretty empty. The dessert display was quite tempting looking. We did not try it on this visit, mostly due to time. The server was very prompt with menus and drinks, and offered hummus as an appetizer which we declined. We took our time reviewing the very extensive menu. Decided to order three pitza varieties to share and a spinach feta pastry to share. Pitza bc it's a pizza made on a pita. Prices were good with pitza at $7.75 each if I recall. We waited.... and waited..... a looooooong time. I mean, a very looooooooooooong time. Almost an hour. Not good for a workday lunch! We were one of only two tables waiting for food too, so have to wonder if anyone was working the kitchen... but then finally our food arrived and looked delicious. If only it had been hot. Disappointingly it was barely warm. Like it had all been sitting for a while. After waiting forever, in an almost empty restaurant. No idea why... The beef shawarma pitza was ok. Beef was tender. Yogurt tahini sauce was nice. Nothing special. The Ali baba pitza was better. Flavors worked. But again it was not hot. The chicken curry pitza was the star. Delicious sweet honey mustard sauce, though a bit too much of it, complemented the curry chicken and crispy fried onions. This would be worth a return visit ... if it had been warm. The spinach thing was meh. Not flaky as expected , the thick heavy layers of dough killed it. I would be willing to try this place again for the chicken curry pitza and possibly dessert if they get their kitchen issues fixed so that food is served promptly and hot. Even though there needs to be improvement in remembering some things, the food is so good, I wish I could afford to eat there every day, I would. But, one time a requested item was forgotten. When I called, I was told how sorry they were and would gladly replace the item which they did. However, they forgot that I was waiting, I think, as others came and went; finally I stood up and went to the register and they brought out my bag. The food was not hot as it should have been. However, it was all delicious, a little of the chicken was dry as mentioned by another client, but it was so good that it was hardly noticed. I am a fan of Aladdin's. I like to carry out from here or catch a quick lunch. The food is always fresh. I can order a healthy salad and leave completely full. One of my favorite items is the appetizer platter. This platter is loaded with hummus, baba, stuffed grape leaves, pita, and falafel. It is fabulous. I could eat this alone, but usually I'll share. I highly recommend ordering a side of the spicy sauce and mixing with the hummus. They also sell their salad dressing, which I am obsessed with, for carry out. They have a drool worthy dessert case. Giant chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, baklava, pistachio bars, and more. I always grab some to go, because the salad and pita fill me up. This is a must visit for good middle eastern cuisine. We order take out from this location about every ten days. Tonight's ordering and order were not what we are used to. The person who took my order over the phone was crabby and a bit short with me (no inflection in her voice and no thank you) . My son went to pick up the order and had to wait a few minutes for it, which is not a big deal. The food was ok, but there was hardly any chicken on the hummus with grilled chicken (4 pieces maybe?) and the hummus in all three of our orders was very soupy. I'm visiting family in Ohio and Aladdin's was one of my favorite when I lived here. The food is still good but I was disappointed in the service. I ordered carry out. I asked the cashier two times before I left if everything was in the bag. I get all the way home to discover the extra pita I ordered wasn't in the bag nor was the pita that comes with the two salads or the side of hummus. My dad had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for hummus. The cashier was rather "rushy". I had to remind her we ordered smoothies or she wouldn't have given me those either. Customers still tip nicely for carry out, so it would be nice if the staff was more meticulous about checking the order. read more
