They'll open the gates at 9, but when we drove through them all we hear is "ummm excuse me. Can I help you???" It was like 9:25 here. The guy was rude for no reason. Then he let us in "early" to his tiny bunk office gave us paperwork and we asked what is this storage fee? It is illegal to hold a car if they are not open for business. They towed my car 2am technically Saturday morning and they are closed Saturday Sunday. Had to wait til Monday. Then I told them that storage fee they said. "We were open on Saturday " oh really? This is the most corrupt and unprofessional towing company in Arizona. if there was an option for -5 stars that would be my rating. My vehicle was towed illegally. There was no proper signage, and I was parked between the white lines -- my tire was only touching the line because of how the car next to me was parked. They towed my vehicle around 2 AM on a Sunday morning, and when I called, they claimed they were closed until Monday, effectively depriving me of access to my own vehicle, which violates A.R.S. § 28-4847, requiring a towing company to release a vehicle upon request during business hours when charges are disclosed. When I went to pick up the car, I refused to pay for an illegal tow, and they immediately escorted me off the property, demanding proof of ownership. My registration was inside the vehicle, and under A.R.S. § 28-4847, I have the right to access my vehicle for an inventory of personal property -- they refused, which is against Arizona law. I then showed digital proof of ownership on my phone, and they claimed it needed to be printed out -- a completely made-up rule and not supported by any Arizona statute. After they ignored my calls while I was locked outside their gate, I informed them that I had called the police. Only then did the employee come out and suddenly accept my digital proof of ownership as valid, proving they knew their demands were baseless. This company operates with shady, predatory tactics and zero regard for Arizona towing laws, especially A.R.S. § 28-4847 regarding vehicle release and access to personal property. Maverick towing towed my truck out of a gated area at my apartment complex, I am a disabled veteran and have a disabilities plate placard that hangs from my rearview mirror. I woke up in the morning with my truck gone and no way for me to get around. So I called them and explain my situation and even though I am a disabled veteran that I do have a disabled placard he still charged me to get my truck back! Recently got my car towed and they did not pick up at all (their mailbox was full so I couldn't even leave a voicemail). I went to the Glendale location listed on their sign and the address sent me to a paint shop ???? Already beyond furious that my car was towed but now even more upset that I can't locate my car. After a couple more hours of calling I was finally able to reach someone only for them to tell me that they moved locations 40minutes out in Waddell. Also they are only open from 9-4:30 so if you get towed after that you have to wait until next day to be able to get your car which is ridiculous. They can be towing cars 24/7 but won't be open 24/7? Please I need help stopping these types of towing companies from robbing people. My car was towed illegally by Maverick Towing. All of the documentation I needed to prove my car was mine was in the trunk. I needed to press the button to open the trunk because my car key was stolen. But the battery in the car was dead so the button wouldn't work. They would not allow me to put a battery in the car to open the trunk. They said it was considered working on the car. I was waiting for the registration to arrive in the mail, which took almost two months. In the mean time they filed the car as an abanodoned vehicle with ADOT. I did not receive the mail until after one month had passed which gave ownership of the vehicle to the tow truck company. Now ADOT says I owe a $500 abandoned vehicle fine. Extremely unprofessional. I went to visit a family member and was unaware of towing past ten. As I saw them taking it I rushed to ask info on recovering it but they sped up in a residential. There was 7 cars before mine at a party in the same residential but they ignored them and only took mine. They keep their lights off until they have your car hooked. They hire inadequate people who are dangerous and reckless drivers. It is rumored in the residential they take the nicest cars only. Despicable company! I've lived at my apartment complex for over 5yrs and recently had trouble with my vehicle. I had my car towed from my friends parking lot on a Tuesday by AAA only to have it taken from an uncovered parking spot in my own complex because it was "backed it" the following day. Mind you, I'd left a note on the dash clearly stating the car was being service and not to tow it away on a AAA envelope. There are no signs in the area stating cars can not be back into the parking spots and at no point was I contacted. Scam artists, charge people money to get their car back after illegally towing. No signs posted no parking. Appartment has first come parking no assigned or numbered spots. Entered vehicle and disabled tracking. Locked us in the "office"( old house covered in barbwire in terrible neighborhood) while we had to pay cash. took within minutes of parking to visit friends sat night charged $142 to recover next open day (Monday). They refused to show pic of vehicle in violation, probably because it wasn't in violation. They implied we "tore down" signage after! There was clearly no signage anywhere in any spots! My car got towed from the future resident parking during the night. there were no parking spots where else am I suppose to park. I checked 3 times anyways I work really early before the sun is out so the next day comes , I walk to the front to find my car missing so I thought it got stolen, and made a police report and they told me it got towed. So today I was towed by these guys after about 30 mins I had parked behind honey BBQ which they contract with. The thing is I was there before the business was open and got back as they were opening. I honestly would not have even park there except there was a gentleman that need assistance. ( I helped him get medical assistance). I am working my way back after injuries due to the military. My license plates even say Purple Heart on them. I am on a very fixed income. Yet they cared nor did the business that I parked at. I had to go get cash which now is my food and gas money for the next two weeks. Plus I had to take a lyft to the shadiest part of Az that I have been to thus far.
