I've been going here for years to get my nails done. It's always easy to make an appointment over the phone and the staff are friendly. They can get very busy on the weekends but if you book in advance you shouldn't have an issue getting an appointment. They also offer gift cards, which my husband gets me as a default gift for my birthday and Mother's Day so I use those to treat myself on a regular basis :) This past holiday season the staff went above and beyond by gifting fabulous hand cream to each customer. Worst manicure of my life. Only gave it one star because zero stars isn't an option. Drilled my nails down until I flinched away in pain (not just one, all 10). Proceeded to 'shape' each of my nails some different way (I asked for an almond shape... look at the photos .. you'd never know) Eventually, my nails hurt too much and the ragged edges she filed them down to were so terrible I decided to cut my manicure short. ** update on previous review I posted a review about my dissatisfaction with my spa pedicure a few weeks ago. The pedicure itself was great but I had problems with the polish not drying and bubbling. After letting them know of the problem, the owner contacted me and refunded the full price of the pedicure. Wow, I did not expect that. I live out of state so going back in wasn't an option. Mia and most of the nail techs are so wonderful (she's my favorite). I had an acrylic set removed and just put gel on and it was a very unpleasant experience. The young guy I was assigned to (I was a walk in) cut into the acrylic and popped them off with another uncut acrylic, rather than soak them to remove-which is how it's supposed to be done. It was really painful and he just kept on working, even when I said it was very uncomfortable. Looking back, I should have been firm and asked him to stop. My nails feel very weak and sore now. This was my first visit as I was looking for a new place. I paid $57 for a spa pedicure. Michelle did a great massage, but she didn't cut my nails, barely filed them, didn't scrub the bottom of my feet, and a day later, my polish is chipping. I was looking for a new nail salon, and I saw good reviews of this salon on the Next Door app. I went the first time as a walk in, but soon found out that it's better if you make an appointment. They are a little different in that they don't have you wash your hands in between service, but overall I love it. I go to Chloe, and she is fabulous. Highly recommend. read more

Be sure to check your credit card charges before you leave... I had a gel manicure and gave a visa gift card to make payment for the manicure. I also asked for change of a $20 bill so I could give cash tip, which I did. Later that day I used the gift card only to find the nail salon took an extra $7 on the card!! I was a last-minute appointment. They took me right when I got there. It's very clean and bright. Good air ventilation-I hate when salon smell like acetone. comfortable chairs, good selection of polish, they did a really good job cleaning my toes. Worst pedicure and gel manicure I've had in a long time. The woman doing the pedicure didn't even massage my feet!! Not to mention my feet are still rough on the heals. She barely scraped them and barely massaged my calves. This is literally the only reason I get a pedicure. The gel manicure was sloppy and not really the shape I asked. After their nail tech drilled my toe nails down to the skin, leaving me no choice but to leave before the pedicure was finished because I was tearing up from the pain. Stay away from Kathy!!! Left me with multiple hang nails, a bleeding cuticle on my foot and an ingrown toenail THE DAY BEFORE MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING. Pictures speak louder than words for this one.. the only thing that would really drive the point home is if i had pictures of how long and healthy my natural nails were prior to walking into this butcher shop I circled the spot that my cuticle got nipped off my toe and the toenail that was filed down to a NUB along with the now-ingrown toenail... I went here once for a simple manicure (in the summer), I was the only customer so two of the employees kept forcing me to get a gel mani. I declined, I liked the manicure, didn't like they didn't allow me to view the nail colors they just asked what color I wanted. Too pushy. Update: I finally went on Valentines Day for a Refill on my Gel Acrylic set. I got tech #11, a male. It looked like he was very thorough with filing etc. Within a day a one of my nails were chipping, then the next peeling! I went in 3 days later to get it fixed. Unfortunately, he was there again and he did my nails. I explained the issue and also explained that a lot of the sides of the nails weren't filled in well, lumpy nails, etc. He repainted all my nails, then towards the end another tech hopped in to paint my nails, she did a better job painting and my glitter nails look way better than what he did the first time. I also explained to her how the sides of my nails were empty and too over filled that you can see the skin, it looks bad. No matter how many times you tell them something or explain nicely they just seem to not fix it and make it worse. Now it's my first refill ever, but I know my skin should be bulging on the sides. My nails should be filled better and guess what... now another nail is chipping. They must be using poor quality gel. They are such in a rush that the quality isn't there. I appreciate them attempting to fix it but I'm still not pleased. I will not return here, I'll find a better quality nail salon with technicians that more more effort into their work and listen to the clients request/concerns, better quality polish and tools. Maven is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and they have a large selection of colors and brands. However the work of the nail techs is very inconsistent and sloppy; they don't paint to the cuticle and/or the sides and the shaping is off. I also didn't like that I was discouraged from getting a particular (very simple) design because it would "cost a lot of money". This was a complete turn off because I NEVER inquired about the price and was more than capable of paying for my services. That was the final straw for me. read more

This is by far the worst gel manicure I've ever received in my entire life. It's full of bubbles, transparent, and there's polish all over my fingers. I read the reviews beforehand and didn't listen. It was just so convenient on my way home from work- but please please take the extra time to go somewhere else. She never put oil on my cuticles and when cutting them she took fifteen seconds - literally I can not make this up.The pedicure was even worse. she was painting my toe nails before the massage ten minutes was even up on the chair that's how badly it was rushed. My friend booked an appointment for myself (the bride) and a few of my bridesmaids. When we got there they must of asked each of us at least 10 times what we were getting and kept trying to get us to upgrade our nails. Being the bride, I hoped they would take their time on my nails and actually give me a standard pedicure. The lady I got was super rushed. I was the first one done with my pedicure by ten minutes. Basically no message or scrub. Then for my nails, again super rushed, and she made my ring finger bleed. She didn't even wipe it clean and you can see from the picture that she put nail polish on top of the blood! She then kept yelling at me to stop moving which I really wasn't. Honestly just had one of the worst experiences ever. My first time to Maven, i called to book and told them i wanted my gel soaked off and then i wanted to do dip powder. The woman who checked me in totally misunderstood or disregarded that i said that and sent me over to a male nail tech's chair. He proceeded to do more gel on my nails. Annoyed #1. Then after he flipped the gel on messily and uneven in a crazy fast manner. He scooted me over to the pedicure chair to rush thru that. Then back to his chair for the remainder of my "manicure" -- I swear the guy who was doing my nails had no idea what we was doing and not only kept looking up at me to see if I was watching but also INSISTED on filing my nails (and skin) down rather than cutting the nails and then cleaning up with the file. He then proceeded to tell me that next time I come i should book with her (and points to another nail tech) and that she could do them better. Then that same woman who I assume to be the owner or something came over to intervene cause she could see I was getting frustrated with what he had just said - if he was incapable of doing a simple shape manicure - then why was I given him as my nail tech? And told next time to go to one of the other girls? Get out of here. At this point the woman who had come over - told her client to wait for her and she RUSHED thru my nails repeatedly asking me if that was better? No it wasn't better - I'm a hairstylist, I went to cosmetology school, I know you're rushing to get back to your client, I appreciate the attempt but there were 7 other nail techs walking around with no clients that could have taken me - rather than you rush thru my nails and me say yeah they're fine just so i could get the hell outta your salon at this point. i know this man was not capable of doing a manicure...and you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen. I rarely write reviews, but I've been here twice, about a year apart, both times for pedicures, and left disappointed both times. I went back thinking, I should give them another chance and maybe my initial visit was a one-off bad experience. I wanted a routine pedicure with a pretty popular color (OPI Bubble Bath). I couldn't find the color on their nail polish wall, but was assured the nail tech had it at their station. The nail tech was very irritated when I mentioned the color, and said they definitely didn't have that color, without even bothering to look. Another tech was able to find the color in two minutes and passed the bottle over. Ever since then, the nail tech for my pedicure seemed annoyed. The tools were not properly sterilized, as was seen by the already opened, wrinkled packaging. The foot massage part of the pedicure was about 30 seconds and only at the calves, not even the soles of the feet. Cuticles we're not pushed back or cut, despite asking, and no dead skin was removed from under the nail. The polish was applied in an uneven and rushed manner. She seemed more interested in getting me out of there, then actually doing proper pedicure. read more

Clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. Teresa is great! She does a gentle pedicure. She never uses a greater or aggressively removes callouses. There are many technicians here, it's a matter of preference. I would recommend Teresa, I've always had a positive experience. read more

Todays experience was awful. I had a 5:15 appt for gel manicure. Walked in early...an abrasive woman named linda asked what i needed. I tell her...she starts running atound telling me to follow her. Im trying to look at the nail colors by the desk. She keeps yelling i have colors i have colors. But i knee the ones i wanted and they were by the desk. I finally grab one and take it back with me. I sit down, have my sunglassed, wallry and keys in 1 hand...she grabs the other to start drilling off the polish. I finally yank my hand back and say can i at least put my stuff down? She asked me if we are cutting my nails. I show her one that i already cut so she sees the length. She started hacking away at my nails and cut them so short! She then gets up and passes me off to her husband to finish. He files them down. All different length, crooked and uneven. Then gets mad when i show him. I chose white for my nails and a beUtiful bright purple glitter for my ring finger. He then passes ne off to another lady to paint my nails cause he said hes gonna go eat. The glitter looked like it was so watered down...after 3 coats still looked awful. She grapped another glitter polish so i ended up with pink not purple.
