1 day after getting dip manicure. I went back the next day and they fixed it. Manicure lasted about 2 weeks.
Emily E.

After trying nearly 10 nail salons since moving to NJ a year ago, this is the only place that has done a good job with a dip manicure. I have now been to Style Nails 3x. The first experience was not good - the dip fell completely off one of my nails the day after getting my nails done. I went back and they fixed it quickly and they lasted about 2 weeks. The second time the woman did them - she was great and very meticulous. They lasted almost 4 weeks. I will say, they are quite slow and you will be there for nearly 2 hours. I have never had to wait and they help me right away. The dip manicure is $35. They have a point system and if you pay in cash, you get 2x the points. The place seems fairly clean and they have a decent color selection. I plan to keep coming back.

This is when you rush through acrylics

I should've stopped him right away. Just started gluing tips on without roughing the bed and applying primer. Don't waste your money.

So bomb!!! I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she copied it exactly. $45 for a gel full set, bring cash for a tip. And even though I came in an hour before close she was so nice and very detailed, I didn't feel rushed at all. Every place near me was either turning me away because they were 'too busy', or didn't offer just standard acrylics. I'm so happy to finally find a place that's open 7 days a week and does a great job! Will definitely be back.

I got a gel manicure, hardly a week ago.

I must say they give an amazing pedicure and Angelica really gives a kick ass massage so she is my favorite.

I was hoping for a more detailed pedicure, especially since I don't use polish, and I ended up needing to finish some of the work myself at home. The price was decent, but I wish I had known ahead of time that services like detailed cleaning and callus removal are considered add-ons and cost extra. Overall, this would be a good option if you're looking for basic maintenance, but for a more detailed pedicure, clearer communication upfront would have made a big difference.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. The last time I had a cateye gel manicure there my nails were cut and filed at an angle, and even though I asked for them to be round, they were square with a barely rounded edge. The tech failed to create an cateye effect, so even though I paid an upcharge, I only received a basic gel manicure. I spoke to the manager who apologized and said I could come back to have them fixed, but since I didn't have time I ended up having to fix them myself. Today I made an appointment on their website with a tech that I know does a good job. When I arrived for the appointment another tech came to get me, and I explained that I had an appointment with someone else. The receptionist told me that I should have indicated the tech's name in the notes on the site, instead of selecting him and confirming that's who the appointment is with, as their site requires. She told me he wasn't' available. I asked to speak to a manager, but he wasn't in. I told her I'd like to call him tomorrow when he is there, but she refused to give me his name. I will not go back, and will offer an apology to all of my friends and family that I've sent there for services.

The salon is located in downtown Somerville and has plenty of parking spots around. Public metered parking is pretty cheap and right behind the salon. Carina was my stylist and she did a wonderful job with my hair. I have pretty long hair and just wanted to get my split ends trimmed. She patiently listened to my request and made sure she wouldn't chop extra hair. Most salons charge extra if the hair is longer than shoulder length but SAFFIRE DOESN'T. I also got a 'glaze' done which was only $15 if you use Groupon for your main service. Regular price is about $30 I think. So in total I paid $45 for a haircut, glaze, shampoo and blowdry and that's a steal. Also, Carina was kind enough to run and add coins when my car parking time was expiring since I had product in my hair. They have a cute coffee station with coffee, cookies and other cold beverages. I was surprised with a small goodie bag as a new client. The bag had a hair serum and 2 discount coupons for future services. Overall, I had a great experience from the moment I walked into the salon till I left. I highly recommend this salon. Ask for Carina. She's sweet and the best!

I have been having my nails done for about 10 years, and this is the first time that I got a fungal infection and it affected every single fingernail and toenail. My doctor put me on a 4 month course of oral anti fungal medication which is not great for the liver. In this time, my fingernails should grow out and clear, but it takes about 18 months for toe nails to grow out, so I may have to do another course of anti-fungal meds. Not happy at all. The salon is beautiful. The pedicures are heavenly. But the salon staff really need to use sanitized equipment for every customer and they need to learn to recognize a fungal infection and turn away customers who have one.

I had to check in for my pedi using a tablet or iPad. A little confusing but ok. Everything is new which set off a nice vibe. Staff is pleasant and always smiling. The reason for my stars is I did not "see" the nail tools (clipper, nipper, etc) coming out of a sanitized wrapper. It's the first thing I look for. She pulled it out of her covered box so no way to know if it was property sanitized. Most customers want to be able to see this so it threw me off. Checkout was a bit challenging too bc the employee didn't realize what was being charged (he added another svc that did not happen. Other than that, the service was quick and pleasant.
