After talking to my stepmom about how much she loves her Madewell jeans, I decided that as soon as I returned home I was going to do it. Not only that...I was going to ask an expert to help me on my mission. That is where Claire came in. With minimal information from me (approx size, styles I like and do not like) she grabbed 2 pair of jeans and put me in a room. I tried in the first pair (10" high rise skinny)and they were made for me. To quote Marie Kondo, they "sparked joy". These are my perfect pair. They are long enough and the little areas that I felt self conscious about in most jeans were no longer noticeable. Could it really have been that easy? I had anticipated trying jeans on for at least an hour and still quite likely not loving a pair enough to spend almost $150 (with tax). But I had success immediately. I need the long length and it's just great that they have some in the store. Such an amazing feeling when your pants are the right length. These pants don't fall down throughout the day at all despite having a ton of stretch. This is the first time in forever I'm not having to wear a belt. I'm in my upper 40's and, despite being thin, I struggle with my stomach area a bit. My body looks great in these and I feel so confident. I am grateful for the return of high rise as it helps hold everything in comfortably. While these pants are speedy, they are 100% worth it. I wish I'd bought them sooner. Instead I bought numerous pairs of jeans that I don't love, that don't look as good as they could and aren't comfortable. The price of these easily exceeded the cost of 3-4 pair of Madewell jeans. These are timeless, good quality and will last forever. They are actually a great deal when I consider all of that. Go on in and find your perfect jeans! I'm sure Claire or anyone else working there will be happy to help you. PS Did you know they do free alterations for you?

Very rarely does something fit me here and when I do find something that looks good and is a good value because it is on sale, it often does not hold up well. Or certainly not as well as I would like. Often, sweaters shed or pill and other items look tired too soon, no matter how much care I take. And in this store, I find that the full price is too much for the quality of the product. There are stores I gladly pay a higher, full price since my size is often gone before they hit clearance and the quality of the item is really worth it. I did buy something on this last visit that I am hoping will serve me well. It fit well and was the sort of skirt I have been looking for all year. And it was a 40% off all merchandise day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the store is attractive and the dressing rooms always clean. Those are all wins in my life.

In the meantime my dog was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had to have his leg amputated on top of my daughter and I getting sick. Because I was 3 days late they offered to give me a credit for what the dress is worth now which was $13.99 and I paid $29.99 originally. I had a receipt and explained the situation but the cashier was callous. I kept the dress and I'll give it to someone but they will never ever have my business again!

Although Athleta carries mostly athletic apparel, a lot of it is so pretty that I also use it to work. They were actually planning to leave negative feedback and Google reviews about her. After reading the reviews later, I noticed several negative ones posted around the same time, which made me wonder if they were connected. When I visited, I was greeted, helped when I needed it, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Let's try to do better and keep personal vendettas out of the workplace. This one is located in a more outdoor mall. By that I mean, walking to and from stores is all outside and not enclosed with a building like a traditional mall. So some store fronts are obvious and others not so much especially with sun glare so I recommend using the directory located in main entrance area. You maybe walking in circles otherwise. The prices are slightly, and I mean 1-3 dollars cheaper, on most items than other stores and online stores. They carry a good selection of brands, sizes and they always have a good clearance section. The service really depends on who is working. First time I went in, the young lady was very helpful, knowledgeable of what they carried in store, what brands were doing such as coming out with new styles, or discontinuing items. She helped me with selection of pants and tops, as my favorite ones are no longer available, so I had to figure out what other brands and styles I liked. Next time I went in, two young girls probably around early college age, did not even care I was in the store. They greeted me, and only spoke once I took my items to the register. Luckily I had great service my previous visit so I knew exactly what I was looking for. They preferred to stay behind the counter folding clothing, which is odd since everything is on hangers, and gossip with one another. I also have been to the one at Mills Mall, and I had great service there when trying new scrub pants so with any business you'll have great employees and some not so great. Overall, I would recommend them as a place to look for scrubs especially since they also carried a lot of the newer styles of tops, vests, and jackets. Downside they don't have an online store, that I found, so when in store didn't have my size I wasn't able to purchase, so I had to either wait for them to be in stock, or drive to another store that did. I would give a 5 star but I did have a not so great service experience and I really wish they had an online store so you don't have to drive around or wait for items, epically since I really needed multiple pairs as I had no current pants that fit my any longer.
