I was tempted to stop into the store several times but I thought it would be a traumatic ordeal. One has to be in the right headspace before trying to find the perfect pair of jeans...and my searches had not yet ever led me to the perfect pair. After talking to my stepmom about how much she loves her Madewell jeans, I decided that as soon as I returned home I was going to do it. Not only that...I was going to ask an expert to help me on my mission. That is where Claire came in. With minimal information from me (approx size, styles I like and do not like) she grabbed 2 pair of jeans and put me in a room. I tried in the first pair (10" high rise skinny)and they were made for me. To quote Marie Kondo, they "sparked joy". These are my perfect pair. They are long enough and the little areas that I felt self conscious about in most jeans were no longer noticeable. Could it really have been that easy? I had anticipated trying jeans on for at least an hour and still quite likely not loving a pair enough to spend almost $150 (with tax). But I had success immediately. I need the long length and it's just great that they have some in the store. Such an amazing feeling when your pants are the right length. These pants don't fall down throughout the day at all despite having a ton of stretch. This is the first time in forever I'm not having to wear a belt. I'm in my upper 40's and, despite being thin, I struggle with my stomach area a bit. My body looks great in these and I feel so confident. I am grateful for the return of high rise as it helps hold everything in comfortably. While these pants are speedy, they are 100% worth it. I wish I'd bought them sooner. Instead I bought numerous pairs of jeans that I don't love, that don't look as good as they could and aren't comfortable. The price of these easily exceeded the cost of 3-4 pair of Madewell jeans. These are timeless, good quality and will last forever. They are actually a great deal when I consider all of that. Go on in and find your perfect jeans! If I had an unlimited wallet, I'd probably be wearing head to toe madewell... No exaggeration, whatsoever. The style here is crisp yet relaxed and casual and I love looking goooood while feeling comfortable and not overdone. Madewell does the trick! Unfortunately for me, madewell is on the more expensive side. But also fortunately, madewell has tons of sales to get the price point down to a... somewhat more reasonable level. Still not quite enough to be sporting madewell daily uniforms any time soon, but you make it work. Also! The student discount here is the bomb. With just your school ID, you can tack on an extra 15% off so definitely take advantage. As for comparing this madewell with others, it pretty much fits the bill for your average madewell. Like exactly... in size and layout and service. Very consistent across all locations. This one is situated on 29th street mall, which is nice because it seems you don't have to fight the usual crowds of indoor malls. And it's the very new and only store in Boulder so I'm super thrilled I don't have to make the drive down to Denver anymore! read more

I walked in here on a Sunday afternoon. Super rude employees and I don't plan on coming back here unless it's to return something I buy online, which is what I'll do from now on. The store experience here always sucks. The tall salesgirl put the "mask required" sign right in front of my way as I walking in, like in my direct way. It was so rude. She proceeded to not greet me, and sort of rolled her eyes at me and walked into the store. The other employee scanning items on the couch just stared at me and didn't say hi. Super awkward experience and their selection is shitty. I won't be coming back here unless it's to return. Horrible! read more

The staff of this madewell has changed in the past few months and I now identify it as my favorite location! Liz and Bridget are wonderful! I've shopped at the store for the past two years and while I could initially relate to the observations of past reviewers (poor customer service, a vibe of college girls just hanging out and not being very professional or helpful) they've turn the atmosphere around!! The past few months I've been helped the minute I walk into the store and watched associates support women who feel at a loss for jeans that ft their body etc. I recently bought a pair of jeans and wore them once and realized they were stretching out a lot more than expected. I stopped by the store and Liz and Bridget were amazing! They spent a lot of time with me and let me return the pair of jeans for my proper size. Service like that has turned me into a madewell lifer! Thanks for your warmth, genuine and professional rapport and time Bridget and Liz! You both embody what Madewell aspires for its employees to be - kind, professional and genuinely helpful. I hope they promote you to higher places in the company. You are both creating a culture where women can come and get the support they need to find clothes that make them feel confident and like their true selves (versus hipster posers). Madewell has always been a favorite brand of mine, so I was thrilled when Boulder finally got a storefront. While I still occasionally shop the sales online, the staff is always most helpful in store. Specifically, I was sent a slightly damaged pair of leggings from the online store and wanted to exchange them for an untarnished pair. While the Boulder store didn't have the pair I needed in stock, associate Molly went above and beyond to track down a pair for me in another store, had them put on hold (the other store was closed for the day), and set me up with all the necessary phone numbers and store credit to get me the right pair of leggings in a timely manner. I went in with little expectation and left very satisfied! read more

Madewell is a great company in and of it's self, but this Madewell has exceptionally helpful staff. They have gone out of their way to locate items for me in other stores around the country multiple times, even when I was calling from LA. They all seem very happy to help. I frequent many Madewell stores and generally have good experiences, but it's remarkable how friendly and helpful the staff at the Boulder store are. Much appreciated! read more

I wasn't going to write a review about this store except that I keep hearing negative feedback that parallels mine. My daughters and I have been into this store in 29th St several times now. Not once has anyone greeted us or acknowledged us. Huh...didn't think my fashion sense was that bad. Clothes are appealing and made well, but the service is not acceptable. There is too much competition in and around Boulder (Denver just a half hour away) to put up with this attitude. Worst customer service in years....I do not get it. read more

I absolutely love to shop Madewell, I always want to buy everything in the store. However this store in Boulder has let me down everytime I have set foot in the store. I never get any type of acknowledgement by the employees or help when I need my size. Today, in fact, the employees all sat together and ignored all of the possible buyers who entered the store. The clothing selection is great and I wish I would have gotten a room to try things on. read more
