TLDR: great spot for piercings and jewelry! Great experience here! I went to look for new jewelry for my rook piercing, and the staff working were SO knowledgeable. I had a few questions about why my piercing wasn't healing as well as it could be and they gave me lots of options and advice. I ended up buying a pair of earrings and an infinity loop for my rook and I've loved every second of wearing them. The jewelry options were great, they offer free size changes after piercing, and the inside was so bright and clean. Definitely will come back for future piercings! read more

Three girls, ages 9 and 10 had a little piercing party at Rowans, all getting their ears pierced, and they walked out with the biggest smiles. The nurses and office admin were calm and very friendly and enthusiastic with the kids, talking directly to them and answering their questions. The billing was discussed ahead of time and very clear. I enjoyed not being up-sold on anything. Needle piercing is $70 for both ears, and the earrings for needle piercing start at $70 per pair and they have flat backs, which I think are important for sleeping in them. There are other earrings for sale without flat backs that are much cheaper. For me, the most important part of an ear piercing is getting the holes lined up and in the right place on the ear. The nurses took time cleaning equipment, explaining proper ear care to the girls before going back to a small 5x5 room on the right with an open door. The nurse took about 2 minutes lining up her second holes, marking them with a pen and giving us time to examen their placement. She wore gloves and poked a metal thing through the front, so it stuck out for a second while she placed a metal thing in the back (maybe the earring itself?) and then it was done! My daughter didn't cry, although it was sore. The cleaning solution they sell smells a bit like chlorine. There were many kids coming in getting their ears pierced and everyone seemed to be having a very positive experience. read more

I got my double helix pierced here on my birthday and it was overall an amazing experience. All of the ladies were super sweet and made me feel welcomed. Everyone was super clean and organized. I was nervous but the lady who pierced me did a great job explaining everything and the piercing turning out just how I wanted it to!. They also have tons of great gold jewelry options which I appreciated because other places I have been to mostly cary silver. We had the absolute best experience getting our daughter's ears pierced today! We were promptly greeted with warm smiles and situated for our appointment! We were guided through each step and felt very comfortable. I asked for the piercing holes to be moved a few times during marking and they were very patient with my daughter and I! Everything was very clean, they made things staying sterile a priority and pierced both ears at once which was perfect for our situation! I loved my piercing at first and was really happy with how it turned out. I was pretty surprised by the price, but I figured I was already there and wanted to go through with it. However, the earring fell out after just 31 days. Thankfully, the hole didn't close and I was able to get another earring in. When I called about the issue, the staff was extremely unhelpful. They told me the warranty was only 30 days, which I can respect, but their tone was rude and dismissive. They referred me to the manager, so I called on the day they said she would be back, but I still couldn't reach her and was told they had "no idea when she'd be in." Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service. I'll definitely be going somewhere else next time--somewhere with better prices and better service. read more

Truly a wonderful experience for both my daughter and I. We both got needle piercing and were able to take our time as we prebooked online and we had the store to ourselves. We really loved the nurse we got and she was very patient and kind. The entire experience was a 180 from my Claire's experience at the mall when I was a kid and I really appreciated that this memory will not be traumatic for my daughter. My daughter has been waiting her entire eight years of life to get her ears pierced. (And then had to wait even longer because soccer is a hard no on earrings. Who knew?) Today was finally her day and the experience was top notch. The nurse kindly explained the piercing options and made sure my daughter was comfortable with the hollow needle choice. She explained the pros and cons of each method to her (and me) and then brought us over to get started. The process was so smooth. She was patient and helped me a lot with proper placement. She then made sure my daughter was also happy with the choices. The piercing was quick, my daughter didn't even flinch, and she is now thrilled to be sporting two earring that make her feel "grown up- not like a little kid at all anymore" Highly recommend! The scheduling process was super easy and so was the rescheduling process. We had to reschedule this a couple of times due to finding out things like no earrings during soccer and my best friend is having a pool party. Oh to be 8 again. read more

At the beginning of the appointment, the employees were pretty helpful and transparent in guiding us through all the different options for piercing choices and price points. The gal who did the piercing with a gun wasn't very adept at placing the markings for the piercings. It took many do overs and I felt like she was frustrated from our desire for the markings to be of a similar spacing on each side. In the end, they were close but def not exact. Also, when I went to pay at the end of the service, you are asked on the screen if you would like to tip. I didn't and kinda got a chilly vibe that even my teenager picked upon on our way out. read more

I chose to make the appointment online. If you do have to provide your child's vaccination to make sure your baby is ready to get his or her ear pierced. We arrived a few minutes early parking can be a little hectic and boulder, but it wasn't bad when we went. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxed and fun. It is a bit of a smaller place but there is seating/waiting area.They have many earring options, very cute! You get a certificate, cute baggie with a cleaning spray. We had a previous piercing placement not go well at a Claire's last year and we had to wait until now to repierce the same ear, and Morgan, the nurse, was super patient with my sister and I in making sure we were happy with the placement. Can't say enough nice things about Morgan!! I will say we had appointments at 1 and 1:15 and had to wait almost until 2, and they had very limited earring choices that were very very expensive for first time piercings. Do your research. I was shocked and angry to find that we could have gotten the SAME services and SAME earrings elsewhere for HALF the price this place charges. I wasn't the person who arranged initial appointment for my 5 year old granddaughter. Three of us each got both ears pierced, 1 pair of earrings each, 2 bottles of the cleaning solution, I purchased an additional pair of earrings. It cost us OVER $700.00!! I was too stunned and rushed at the time we paid, I didn't know what to say. Do not take younger children to this location. They are not patient or satisfactorily trained to deal with kids. Also, the person who arranged the appointment for the 5 year old was shamelessly lied to and assured that during the prep of her ear lobes, they would be numbed. They were not. It is outrageous that this company charges to remove earrings after piercings have had time to heal, on top of all of the initial fees. We somehow (sarcasm) managed to handle this mind-boggling task ourselves. read more
