Old Tibet is a rare piece of Old Boulder. It's been on Pearl St for 35 years! If you like eclectic, international decor, if you're a Buddhist, or if you want to get a taste of that classic Boulder hippie vibe, definitely take the opportunity to drop in. The store is relaxing to enter, with incense and beautiful meditation music playing. There are numerous carvings of the Buddha in various incarnations. They have crystals, sterling silver jewelry, and magic supplies. They have racks of colorful, one-of-a-kind clothing, perfect for your music festival wardrobe. In the back of the store, there are meditation cushions, some of which are covered all over with colorful embroidery. They even have a display of sleighbells on strings! This place was amazing! I'm so glad I came across this place. It's absolutely magical from the moment you step in. If you are into spiritual items this place is for you. I bought a beautiful rice paper printed poster, 3 beautiful scarves, a hand carved elephant. I can't wait to gift them to my friends and family. The owner and his wife were super friendly and gave me background of the items as I asked about them. They also had an assistant there that was very helpful. I can't recommend this place enough! Narayan always has a friendly smile on his face when you enter the store and the vibe of the store is priceless. The assortment of Nepali clothing and accessories makes me feel right at home in Kathmandu! All of the workers here also do a fantastic job at helping you with your needs. A very neat store with a great selection! It is one of the better stocked and varied spiritual shops on a Pearl so definitely pop in and check it out! Like the other spiritual shops, the prices can be a touch high, but there also plenty of cheaper options. I picked up a gorgeous, hand-painted dragon on Tibet scroll paper for about $11. For the level of detail and uniqueness, I thought it was a very fair price. As an added bonus, the shop owner has a type of well-loved dachshund mix that wandering adorably around the shop or sleeps on the check-out counter. Overall, a neat place with some great stuff! Buddha statues, calming music, incense, mala beads, clothing, and more pack Old Tibet on Pearl Street where a shopper could spend quite some time browsing through the myriad of knick knacks. The owners were friendly and even let me bring my dog in while I shopped. Then again, Boulder is awesome like that. I picked up a set of Tibetan prayer flags for a gift and some nag champa, which they were burning in the store that day. They stock tons of great incense, Beautiful Thangkas, Singing Bowls, Clothing and a plethora of Statues....from minute to those needing their own meditation room! Nice gift store selling Tibetan artifacts and other Eastern items and jewelry. I bought a Tibetan teapot and a temple guardian figure here. Items can get rather pricey, but overall I didn't notice Old Tibet to be any pricier than other Tibetan art galleries located on the Pearl Street Mall. Nice ambiance, friendly host, and a great place to browse and possibly buy. Give it a try. read more

Where to go when you need a singing bowl, prayer wheel, or some interesting bric-brac, they have a very large selection. They had a very nice gong too, it made me want to start my own show too, till I saw the $3500 price tag. Everything is pricey, but it's also on Pearl St in the heart of Boulder, and the stuff is the real deal, probably really made by a 6yr old, in India, or Sri Lanka. read more
