Fresh poke, great service and generous portions! It reminded me of Hawaiian poke, which definitely fulfilled my cravings! Highly recommend!

I have been here a few times for lunch now and can't recommend this place enough! The fish is extremely fresh and they have a wide variety of toppings. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping center (next to Board & Brew) but well worth the hassle of parking. I'm always surprised that it isn't busier inside, but I'm thinking that a lot of folks take their lunch to go. In addition to poke bowls, they have sushi burritos, spam musubi, fresh guava juice and Thai iced tea. I'm already excited to go back!

I was within walking distance of this location so I decided to check it out. The gentleman at the register stopped what he was doing to address me (and it was near closing time) he was very patient and helpful. I was very happy with the portions. There is inside seating and it was clean. I took it home and put it in a bigger bowl to mix and make into 2 portions. It was delicious. I would absolutely return.

2 Scoop Poke Bowl* salmon, tuna and many toppings

I tried 2 scoops poke bowl - salmon and tuna The portion was big enough for me, but the balance of rice and fish wasn't good. Too much rice. I wish the scoops were more. The worker looked not good mood, but he was nice. The shop was clean. I don't recommend this restaurant proactively, but it is okay to go place if you are craving poke. I don't think I'm going back to the place.

Tried this place today after trying to first order online via yelp but finding that didn't work so I called and placed my order based off the menu pictures people posted (thank you). Ordered the 2 scoop poke bowl and somehow they included some kind of spiced jalapeños I didn't see in the list of toppings. If it was on there I would've said no to them. They charge extra for the unagi even though it's literally a little strip. Not sure how I feel about paying $25 for take out lunch (I ordered Thai iced tea). Would probably prefer spending less at board and brew next door but this is a nice alternative every once in awhile. Service was friendly. Lunch was decently satisfying. Would come back here again but with so many other options in the same strip mall it's likely I'll check those out before coming back here.

Pretty solid poke spot! The fish is fresh and flavorful, and their Blazing Salmon is a must-try if you're into strong flavors with a bit of a spicy kick. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy your bowl. Portions are very generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. Would definitely be back!

Surprisingly good and at a reasonable price. Possibly best poke deal in Tustin/Irvine. Had the 2 scoops with unlimited toppings and the Unagi musubi. 2 scoops meal was more than enough. Musubis pushed me to the edge. Spicy tuna could use a little more kick for my taste. Definitely would go back again.

Solid poke with with various topping choices and fresh fish! Maui Poke is located in a small plaza with bunch of other eateries. Inside has decent table seating with dark interior. They have interesting topping choices like spam, kimchi, and shrimp. I got the small bowl with half brown rice/kelp noodle, tuna/albacore, with wasabi citrus sauce and most of the toppings. They do charge extra for unagi and avocado. Portion size is generous and they put lots of toppings on, the tuna and albacore was fresh, wish there was more wasabi in the sauce but overall filling and relatively healthy! Service was fast and price is decent ($15 for 2 topping bowl). Next time I'll try the salmon!

    BONES IN SALMON

Edit: As we're eating, there are bones in our salmon!!! We went on a Friday night and there is only one worker so expect to wait over 20' to even start getting served if there is a large party before you. Service is pretty bad and even over an hour before closing time they have ran out of a lot of toppings. Not only that, portions are extremely stingy!! Avocado is all brown and has been left out for a long time. The salmon is very chewy not fresh. We decided to try this place not expecting it to be overpriced and horrible quality. Would not recommend!!!

Perfect spot for lunch. Their quality of the ingredients is great and everything is so fresh that I trust whatever I pick. Also, the variety of sauces are fun to try. The restaurant is very clean and modern looking. It has a large space with several tables that you can bring large groups. They also have a station with utensils and condiments you can pick up. The service is excellent as well. When my coworkers and I stepped in the store, one of the employees was eating lunch but ran back to the counter and served us immediately. Another employee came from the back and served the next customer as well.

The standout for me was definitely the 15 oz ribeye. The flavors were beautifully infused throughout the steak, and the fish sauce was absolutely on point. It added such a unique depth without overpowering the dish. The texture was incredible as well: tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The steak frites were also delicious and definitely worth trying. To top it all off, our server was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, NEP Cafe is a great spot if you're looking for Vietnamese fusion with bold, creative flavors. The ribeye alone is worth coming back for!

I had been here once before for dinner but never for brunch, so it was nice to see how the beautiful interior changes with the sunlight. We ordered two dishes to share, the beef belly bowl and the shrimp garlic noodles, alongside the wild berry matcha and the strawberry yogurt matcha. I really enjoyed the contrast in greasiness from the meat and the sharpness of the complementing veggies in the beef belly bowl, and though the shrimp garlic noodles were a bit heavy from the oil, the flavor was very robust and delicious. I also really liked how they had more unique matcha flavors that were also not too sweet and very yummy as well. I love how they come with oat milk already, perfect for my lactose intolerant tummy. Overall, I'd love to come back again and try new dishes and matcha flavors. Highly recommend!

I remember going to this place a while ago, and loving their buttersquach gnocchi or something…read moreclose to that. The side came with the halibut. And it is one of the best sides, I ever had in my life. I even went to the LA Water Grill looking for it and it was not there. Recently, I was celebrating another precious birthday dinner (a little delayed by 7 days but still counts) and decided to go here, last minute. My friend and I had reservations at another restaurant across the street in the mall. But, I wanted to be a little bit more hungry, so we decided to walk around and then cross the street to find our place in Water Grill. So we crossed the bridge that connects the mall to the other side where the Water Grill lies and with the heatwave we are enduring as Californians, the walk felt like a trek through Arizona streets. I have never been to Arizona. But now I do not have to, apparently. I had called the joint before but they told me they were absolutely book for the night. I have lived long enough to know that place in a crowded restaurant is sometimes a matter of finding a crevice to call one's own. But a crevice is sometimes found only through efforts. The staff was prepared to show us options, one of two bars, and seating in other areas of ther expansive restaurant. I think there were three options and all of these were in the avaiable areas. They did not try to find me a table in their main dining rooms, which is fine. I did enter as a peasant looking for stale bread. Ronnie, my friend, did not want to sit anywhere where the heat was abundant, but luckly on our trek through the bar we found a group departing. Those seats were for us. People were barely getting up. I was almost the tazmanian devil, but contained, I did not want to lose these seats which meant for us, to another person who needed those sits. I am not sure why but I was acting like a bridemaids during a clearence sale for her best-friend's desired gown. I wonder if this happens in real life or I am imagining a scene from a movie that made women savages when it came to low priced clothes? The stools had food rests. My feet did not hang. A significant plus! The crevice had been found, and, like mice who had found their cheese, we were ready to split food and giggle like rats as we did! It was a superb meal! Like, a holiday was had in the moment. Once I found the halibut with the gnocchi my made was made up. Nothing else would due but what I had waited for and found anew. Since the LA shop did not have it, I feared that this place would not as well. We also ordered brussels. Roonie ordered their sirloin and their chimichurri. At one point, I combined the gnocchi, with the halibut, and smeared the chimi, and ate it in one mouthful and the proceeding pow was a blast from the present to the taste buds. The Delorian arrived and parked in my tongue, is what I am trying to say. Our server was Diana. And I thought that she would be more familiar with the fact that Diana was the real name of Wonder Woman. So I am making some lame dad jokes, even though I have not fathered any children, about Amazon and Thymescara. And she politely nodded but later found out that she was not connecting my jokes. But I guess dad jokes can be like that. She was also really kind of cool as a server. For instance, Ronnie wanted to enjoy mac and cheese. I ordered but then I walked and saw their beautiful ears of corn and wanted some. Ben eut we were informed that we had enough food and the corns probably would not be needed. Diana accomodated the request of swapping the mac for the corn. I wanted no chili. Then corn on the cob came with chili. She said that she had put in the order. And then a second order of corn came without chili. Ronnie, being the pure angel she is, was like Do you need the chili corn back? And I was like, now we licked it. Simply because I feel that the restaurant would be tacky to deliver a wrong side and then ask for it back. Like for the prices you all be charging, they can let us absorb the cost of their mistake. Both ears of corn were left. The real kiss on my birthday from the universe was that I was allowed to have an entire side of the gnocchi for 16 dollars. It came. Now there was enough for Ronnie to share. I will admit that before a gurantee of more gnocchi I was wondering if they could share. We also got a tri-flavored cookie with ice cream with a sea horse cookie with ice cream. It was great. Exceptional even. And the garlic on the brussels, I am glad I am not the king of the undead. So this place is a gem under the sea that I can visit from time to time. It is just not that close. But it is not the white whale, nor am I Ahab. I can go more often. And after yesterday's dinner, I do not see how I can not.

We finally asked for the check from a third bartender and he didn't even look at us or say a single word and just grabbed our check and put it on the bar. Dude, you're in the service industry but your people skills suck. Again a "here you are" would've been nice. Left a terrible taste in our mouth. Won't be back to eat at the bar ever again.

Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

We've always walked passed this, but never paid attention since it always looked like no one was there out on the patio seating. We were feeling adventurous on Labor Day, and craving some soup so we decided to check it out. There were at least 5 parties in there, and we did not have to wait long. We ordered 6 oysters of the day, the jambalaya, and the Dive Chowder. The oysters were fresh, cleaned properly, not fishy. It was sweet and juicy and paired really well with the green/red/horseradish sauce they gave us. I am typically not a fan of raw oysters, but these were acceptable and I would come again if I were craving oysters. The dive chowder was delicious, and they did not skimp on the clam. Each spoonful of chowder had at least 2 pieces of clam. It also came with 3-4 pieces of shrimp. The spice level ranged from no spice, mild, medium, spicy. We ordered medium spice, but it was not spicy at all. Just a small kick of spice. I will try spicy next time. The jambalaya was good, it came with shrimp, mussels, sausage. However, my boyfriend did not like it as much because it was too tomato-y for him, but I like tomatoes and it was homey. I do want to mention though that the flavor is rich and can become heavy after a few bites. Overall, they are generous with the portions. The server we had was kind and gave us a tablet to view the menu since there was poor connection on our phones when we were unable to pull up the menu on the web.

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss.
