There is a fantastic assortment of breads which include breakfast fare Such as breakfast sandwiches which are enclosed in the most delicious bread you will every find. Of course the Myriad kinds of breads and other items are all to die for. Making it the most enjoyable experience ever is Ann who will assist you in making your selections, always with a bright happy smile. We are from southern/central California and we have nothing comparable, so we wish we could transplant the delight to a location near us. "Pleasantly surprised" is an understatement. We bought a veggie breakfast bread, that my wife raved about, and we also bought a bread that had a pineapple/coconut puree inside, that was equally delicious. So good! We came around closing time one night right as they were about to close the shop. Luckily, the shop attendant let us in anyway, and it was a win-win that he did because we found one of our favorite places in Maui and they got our business many more times that week when we were there! Stopped in looking for something savory for a light lunch. Unfortunately we were rather late so the only savory option was a curry chicken-filled bun. There was a good amount of filling. The filling was good, but the standout was the bun - soft with just a touch of sweetness. Upon the recommendation of the young man behind the counter, we also got the pineapple bread. It was scrumptious! Sweet but not too sweet with chunks of pineapple. It was moist and had a crumb topping, which gave it a nice texture. I would definitely get this again - yum! Service was great. They had samples of a cookie and POG and coconut water. I don't usually care for coconut that much, but gave the water a try and liked it. This little bakery is something else from the customer service to the amazing product you cant go wrong. They also have fresh house made drinks along with some awesome house made syrups and oils. Even chili pepper water! If you get time to stop by the dolphin plaza this find is well worth it. Low prices with high end products what more can i say. Stopped here on our way out for the day and got their breakfast pastries. Gluten free banana bread and Nutella brownies for later, Cajun sausage and ham/cheese breakfast pastries for now. Everything was delicious and the girl working the counter was super sweet. They were handing out samples of some peanut butter chocolate chip brownie thing and I could have eaten the entire tray. I was on Maui for a solo vacay and was excited to come across Maui Bread as they have gluten free options. I tried the ube mochi cake, the peanut butter and chocolate mochi cake, the chocolate chip cookie and the dinner rolls. I know some reviewers stated that the baked goods from Maui Bread are sweet but I didn't think that was the case for all of the baked goods I got. The ube mochi was awesome and not sweet at all. The peanut butter mochi was good and the reason I got it was that the sales person told me it was very peanut buttery (and I love peanut butter) and it was! I didn't love the chocolate chip cookie, it was a little bland. Lastly, I am really sad that I can't go back to Maui Bread for the GF dinner rolls. They are AMAZING! They do have a tad bit of sweet to them but I kind of liked that they were like king Hawaiian rolls. Anyway, if shipping didn't cost so much from Hawaii I would have those rolls shipped to Cali! read more

My group and I loved this place! They offered lots of little samples, and I was impressed with everything I tried. I wish I could have gotten one of everything! But we were able to buy a decent amount of treats because the prices were very reasonable. The standouts to me were the POG bread, the baked mochi, and the Portuguese sausage bun, or roll, or whatever it was, lol. I got one of their coconut iced coffees and the coconut made it really rich and creamy - I had to drink it over the course of two days! I like sweet coffee, and this wasn't really sweet, I didn't think to add sweetner. It wasn't bad though. I'd recommend you give it a try, and get some other baked goods while you're at it! read more

And indeed Cute Bakery located at the Dolphin Plaza As you enter the Maui Bread Company you Are greeted with a Smile from Alana she's the Assistant Manager at the store . So many choices and options of delicious freshly baked pastries and fresh baked breakfast sandwiches as well . Alana is very helpful and knowledgable on all the items she sells at her bakery . She's also very informative on all the ingredients on how there made . I decided to get a fresh made cinnamon Roll , a large Chocolate chip cookie and a Portuguese sausage on a baked round roll with cheese and that was delicious when I ate back in my condo . Great flavors . Went back again on another day and got 8 mini breads great for gifts . They make them in many flavors , guava and. Passion orange , pineapple ( there best seller ), banana , and Hawaiian bread has a mixture of banana pineapple and orange Great for Gifts .
