So first off honestly I went to my dealership at Honda in Poughkeepsie and told them I needed auto bodywork which they let me know that Matt auto body in salt point was their certified person. I went to Matt's Autobody to have some work done on my Cars paint job, and was completely blown away by the kindness and professionalism shown by the Team. I dealt with Mark, who after looking at my car, ordered the paint necessary, got my car in the next day, buffed out the scratches, repainted the whole hood, and did so all free of charge; even allowing me to keep the leftover paint they ordered if I needed to touch up marks in the future. I've been to Matt's a few times before, and unlike other Auto Body Shops who would've overcharged me and taken forever to get the work done, these guys have always been straight forward, professionally run, and fairly priced, which I truly respect. Whilst my experience may be a unique one, I was impressed enough to look them up and write a review, for which I say I would highly recommend them. There is no auto body shop in all of Dutchess County that I will take my car to now that I've discovered Matt's auto body shop. Very reasonable service with a competitive price to match. We had two cars serviced here recently. A 2014 Sedan that needed the entire front bumper replaced as well as damaged fixed on front passenger side. The car doesn't even look like it was hit by anything at this point. The other is a newer SUV that received Deer treatment and had a massive dent in the passenger side door. Without needing to replace the entire door (one shop attempting to say we needed to do this), easy touch up paint and a week's time (if that long honestly) and the car looks as good as it did when it drove off the lot after purchasing. Go here guys, no joke. It may take a little while to get your car done, but the quality of the service warrants the length you may need to wait. Remember, you cannot rush perfection. read more

Matt's is 5 stars times infinity! a snow storm/tree took out my front grill, bumper etc. . had to bungee cord and duct tape it to be able to drive it there. Got it there on a Monday, thought I would have to wait for weeks but it was done by the next Wednesday! I hit a deer on the Taconic Pkwy. on Nov. 20th, 2023, in my 2017 Ford SHO. The car was towed to Matt's. There was a good amount of damage. Of course as the work progressed other damaged parts were found. Most of the parts were on factory back order. Mike worked very hard to find replacement parts from other sources. I ended up being in frequent contact with Mike over the delays, none of which were his fault. He was always helpful with updates. When the car was finished Mike was able to deliver it to me - I live 70 miles away. Saved me some money. They did a REALLY GREAT job on my SHO! I would recommend them to anyone! We were introduced to Matt's Auto Body years ago after a fender bender. Their honesty and workmanship was outstanding. This week we had to return for a minor issue... a leak somewhere in the back hatch of my HONDA HRV causing water to pool in the spare tire wheel well. From Randi who answered the initial phone call to Mike who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to solve the mysterious leak service was excellent! Wish I could give more stars! I hit a deer (for the first time) on the Taconic. My car was getting towed by Matt's which was fine with me because I had heard of their fine reputation. Well they lived up to it, and beyond, in my opinion. From my initial phone call, all I got asked was "Are you alright?" They truly cared about me as well as the car. Well, I had no damage but my poor car was hurting bad. When I got it back, you could not even tell it was in an accident. The body work is beautiful. Bob himself was super rude didn't care for a new customer told me i had to come back for an estimate in a couple days so i came back 2 days after not only waiting an hour for an estimate but then to find out the totally high and outrages price I was so shocked went to Google and looked up aother autobody place in the area came across Murphy's auto Center on 60 Scout Rd went there without an appointment Joe is an amazing and HONEST guy had an estimate ready within 15 minutes much lower than matts price i don't recommend bringing it to matts I do in fact recommend bringing it to a family owned business that is honest and has fair prices which that is in fact Murphy's auto Center very professional left me speechless. read more

No one wants to have to do business with an auto body shop. I went to Matt's with positive expectations for a number of reasons: - The local dealer from whom I bought my car recommends Matt's exclusively for body work. - Even though Matt's is not in my auto insurance company's network, there were no issues at all. The inspector who appraised my car works with Matt's frequently, and they know him on a first-name basis. - The prior reviews for Matt's on Yelp were also stellar. Matt's even exceeded expectations. When I called them to find out when my car would be ready, I was told they had found additional damage under the bumper that my inspector had missed. So they said it would be a couple more days, but they did all the paperwork in advance - had it re-inspected, got the coverage from my insurance - without needing me involved. The staff here are very personal and friendly. It's like having your next-door neighbors work on your car (and I can speak from experience here - my mom, who lives upstate, has neighbors - childhood friends of mine - who own a body shop). A couple of things of which to be aware: - They do all their business on a weekly basis. So you typically drop your car off on a Monday. - They don't take credit cards, only cash and checks. They make an unpleasant experience as pleasant as possible. read more

I crashed my motorcycle and it was towed to Matt's Auto Body, which I had never heard of. These guys were amazing. They don't even repair bikes, yet they took great care of it, stored it inside because they "know how bikers care about their bikes". They were a pleasure to deal with. Mark especially was as nice and as accommodating as one could hope for and always showed concern for my health above and beyond anything else. Knowing I crashed on a bike, whenever I called, his first question was always about how I was feeling, then he always pleasantly took care of whatever I needed, mostly to satisfy the insurance requirements. Awesome service!!! My Toyota Corolla was nearly demolished by a deer. My husband hit it straight on and it did over $4000- worth of damage.
