First off, before you have to read all the way through this saga, I will simply say this. NORTHSIDE AUTO IS THE VERY BEST. I was involved in a serious deer strike. The deer went airborne and struck the center front of my sedan. At the scene, the responding officer and I discussed the likelihood of the vehicle being totaled. It was towed to Northside, a shop I had no prior awareness of as a repair facility. I arrived the next morning close to opening to discuss what I thought was the end of my new car. Josh met me, immediately knew which vehicle I was there for, then walked me out to review what he believed were the major concerns. My insurance company demanded that no work begin until the police report was released, a process estimated at 7-14 business days not including an upcoming midweek holiday. Josh spoke directly with the adjuster, was able to get the rental process moving, then began a tear-down to start the estimate while we waited on insurance. Throughout the entire repair, Josh and the team regularly contacted me to advise on concerns, delays, or insurance red tape that needed attention. The Northside team handled the insurance company so thoroughly that I never heard from the adjuster again beyond the initial estimate. Let's talk about the repairs. All OEM parts. Paint is flawless. Fit, gap and adjustments are fully dialed in. While completing the project and calibrating the entire new front-end sensor system, Josh called to advise that a fault code was being thrown. This was one I had previously visited the dealership for. The Northside team traced the cause to a corroded electrical connector, ordered a replacement, then ensured all applications, sensors, electrical components, plus cosmetic details were corrected properly. While the car was there, I asked for a few minor cosmetic corrections outside the scope of the accident work. These issues were handled separately and completed with the same level of flawless workmanship. Pick up I arrived at the shop and turned over my rental vehicle to them, yes they also assist with rentals. Josh walked me through the completed repairs. My car had been fully detailed, and a Northside Autobody care package was waiting inside. All in all, while the experience of hitting a deer with my new car was horrendous, everything from Redl's tow with Greg through the complete project at Northside, plus Josh's professional approach, made the entire experience far easier and honestly a bit enjoyable. I had hit a deer over the weekend, and I was one of many people with the same issue that morning. Wow just wow! I had to get Carco photos taken and let me tell you, the service here is unmatched!! Every single person I spoke with was kind, patient and willing to help! My family went here after we unfortunately hit a boulder. They were unexplainably helpful. They let me use one of their desks to study for my anatomy exam and even snuck me some food while I was studying. When all the affairs were arranged Anthony drove us to the nearest car rental since we didn't particularly favor their selection (we drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee and pretty much only drive Jeeps). We were 5 hours into our drive home from a vacation in Maine when we became the victims of a hit and run. My 2011 Subaru Outback was hit from behind and both my quarter panel and rear bumper had to be replaced. The previous owner of Northside Auto Body, Jimmy had helped me buff some glue off my car at no charge a couple of years ago and at that time I made a mental note to go back there, should I ever need body work done. It was very stressful because the person who hit my car and left the scene was arrested, and I really had no idea what the insurance situation would be like. I called Northside first thing that Monday morning, and spoke to Jack. He told me to come right in so they could assess the situation. When I entered the shop, I immediately noticed something had changed. It was nice before, but it looked like it had a complete make over. I met Jack, and he informed me that he was the new owner. He was cordial and professional, which really helped ease my stress. I could not believe I ended up leaving the shop in a brand new rental car (also a Subaru, a 2017 no less!). It was seriously easier than I ever could have imagined. The damage was extensive and repairs involved cutting into my sub-frame. I am a perfectionist and notice the tiniest details, so I was still a little nervous about how my car would look when the work was done. Over the next week, I received 2 voice messages from Jack informing me of where in the process they were, and when to expect to pick up the car. Just over a week later, the car was ready, a couple hours earlier than he predicted, even. I still, can not believe the quality of the work they did on my car. It seriously looks better than it did before the accident, and, their work is guaranteed for the life of the car! (Who does that?!) Not only did they do a perfect job on the exterior, they did a complete detail of my interior! I have an 80lb dog with short white hair that rides with me everywhere... the car had a lot of dog hair in it, and with my carpet and seats being black, it was a little bit noticeable. They vacuumed and shampoo'd the carpet and there is literally no dog hair in the car. My dashboard, center console, everything, looked brand new. And there were gifts! :) There was a Northside Auto Body travel mug in my cup holder, a flashlight on my key ring, and an air freshener. Anything they found beneath seats or on the floor, was neatly placed in a plastic bag. Seriously, you just don't come across businesses that go above and beyond the way Jack and his team do at Northside Auto Body in Poughkeepsie do. Wife got hit by a state worker backing down a one way, insurance company suggested this place. Two weeks later car was done and looked good. Then my younger brother says "looks like you need new front tires". I said "no way I just got new ones a month ago" this is when I noticed my "new" tires somehow morphed into two not matching bald tires. Funny because when I went back to the shop with the receipt showing how these weren't the tires that were on the car. The guy said he didn't know what I was talking about. I probably should just call the cops but I signed a "not responsible for lost items" waiver giving them legal right to rob me. I didn't know this waiver covered looted car parts.
