There are not enough good things I can say about RG Autobody, Ronnie and Melissa. Aside from being personally so nice and helpful. Their work is excellent and quick, whether it's with insurance or without. I would recommend them to anyone at any time. My last review dubbed Ronnie my night shining armor and it still read more

These guys are great. The starter on my motorcycle quit 3 hrs feom home and 2hrs from our destination. I called roadside assistance and 2 companies, back to back, said they'd come get me in 1-2hrs. Not great but what could i do? Both canceled after 1 1/2 hours. So 3+ hours later the roadside assistance company gets in touch with RG. They were there in a half hour, had my bike loaded and off to the dealer in another 15min. The owner even came personally to make sure everything went smooth. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Great company, super professional from rop to bottom. I cant thank you guys enough. read more

I am SO happy with my experience at RG Autobody! I never imagined on the day that I had my accident that I was going to be seeing my car again, especially looking even better than it did before (and very much like new). They did an absolutely phenomenal job. Melissa, in particular, was a joy to work with- she was prompt and remarkably efficient. I knew what was happening every single step of the way, it was just one of the most stress-free and positive experiences I have ever even HAD with an auto body shop. You can see the care that they put into the repairs, they detailed it before I took it home, I'm just so happy. I would one hundred percent recommend this company for anyone needing work done on their vehicles...RG Autobody is a class act!! read more

Great shop and high quality work! Ron and his staff are very helpful in getting both repairs and paperwork done. A deer hit my truck about two miles away from his shop in late November. After filing a claim through my insurance, and being told that I needed to use a specific Auto Body shop, I decided to call RG to see if GEICO could assess the damage there. I was attracted to RG after reading through his Yelp reviews, and after calling, I was relieved to know that GEICO works with RG. After getting into the accident, Ron assured me that he'd take care of it and have it repaired. I dropped it off, and a rental car picked me up. I recommend calling to get weekly updates if you're in for repairs. The initial repairs were estimated to take 15 days, but after many phone calls and updates, it was clear that the job would take a full month (also factoring in the holidays). All parts were installed factory OEM, (after having to fight with insurance to not use cheaper aftermarket parts), and the truck looked better than new. It was worth the wait. Ron also helped offset the cost of my long term rental, by reducing my deductible by half. This helped tremendously, given that I only expected a 15 day rental period. Today, Ron was helpful in repairing a rock chip and rebuffing some paint on my grill, free of charge. If you choose RG, know he'll stand by his work and warranty his repairs. Great staff, great work, great guy! read more

My Audi was swiped in the city parking lot and I knew the only person I could trust with it was Ronnie as he had done work on one of my cars in the past. He is professional and reliable. Being hit in a collision (on your way to work), is stressful enough without worrying about towing and finding an autobody shop that you can trust to do the job well. Ron was amazing! He arrived fast, took the time to explain the repair process, and even had my rental waiting for me when we arrived at the shop. Melissa (staff), was patient, very knowledgeable was able to answer all my questions (which were many), and never left me in the dark on the insurance process and the status of my car's repair. Plus my car was repaired in under 30 days (as stated/promised). Having only one car, Ron offered to drive my car and pick up my rental at my home to avoid a trip!. THANK YOU Ron, Melissa and staff for doing such a great job and restoring my little Hyundai back to "show room" quality. I can't say that I look forward to seeing RG auto again (in another accident) .... but if I'm ever side swiped again at 4am on the Taconic on my way to work or in another accident, RG is who I am calling without hesitation. Again, THANK YOU Ron, Melissa and Staff for doing such a great job and easing the stress of an accident. Bobbi JC read more

I highly recommend this Auto Body Shop. Their work is always stellar. I have unfortunately had several cars and SUV repairs at this location due to a fallen tree, several deer and a hit and run ..and EVERY repair was done impeccably and in a timely manner. Ronnie or Cody were always on site immediately to tow if necessary, Melissa in the office always handled all the headache paperwork and rental details..she always knew at all times the status of parts and completion, and Ronnie always made sure all of my cars and trucks were returned spotless (and even inspected if needed)..his work ethic, staff and service is outstanding. Thank you all!! read more

Ronnie and his team did an amazing job fixing my car! They were so kind and considerate during a very stressful time. able to put it in drive (and drive it) no problem. Ronny didn't know how to put it in drive (someone who clames to have over 25 years of experience couldn't get the car out of park). He tried to charge over $500 to release the car so we could take it to our trusted mechanic (Klaus Garage). He was extremely rude and abrasive. After calling our mechanic and having him speak to Ronny, Ronny agreed to tow it to the workshop. He left before we arrived at Klaus. I would not recommend RG Autobody at all. It was a terrible experience and Ronny takes advantage of people who are feeling vulnerable and scared. read more

I thought long and hard about making this but I feel it's best to warn people. Firstly, I was rear ended on Noxon Road and Lauer. I did not choose the tow company that was called. The police did. Luckily, the gentleman who rear ended me was amazing, and he took full responsibility and his insurance took care of everything. My issue starts with RG Auto body. Firstly, be very careful because they forged my signature on an official document. (don't let them say otherwise.) They forged my signature on the directive of pay so that they could get paid directly from the insurance company even though before they did the forgery, I asked the insurance company to pay me directly first. The accident happened on 4/14/23 and I didn't get my car back until May 25. They were not supposed to take that long. I will admit that the work that they did do looks great. But they did not fix the antilock brakes and then as soon as I get the car back it's nothing but attitude and victim blaming. The entire time they had my car it was a lie after lie to me and the insurance company. The insurance company called me and told me that Ronnie was either telling them the car would be ready the next day or it's almost done. And that was when they could get in contact with him. I finally had to physically go there, because the insurance company begged me to and when I did Ronnie claims he called the insurance company And ask them if they ever said that to me and he claims the insurance company said they never called me and told me that. Can you believe that? The insurance company wake me up at eight in the morning to complain that they are getting the runaround and I'm supposed to believe Ronnie when he says he called them to verify, they never said that to me and never called me ?! At the end of the day my biggest issue with them is that forging my name on an important document, which by the way, my lawyer confirmed was a legal document. Make sure if you go here and you don't want them getting paid directly that you get the insurance company to cut you the check first because I guarantee you if I would've had the check and they would've been waiting for it. My car would've got done way faster. read more

Super impressed with these guys. Had a tow truck smash into the back of my Subaru Outback and they restored to as good as new. It was not an easy job (was hit right in the kink of the door jam). This is without a doubt, the best body shop in Dutchess Co. they do really really nice work, and are very professional. And the owner Ronny, is a perfectionist! He has done work on a few of my cars over the last few years and every single time I have been 100% satisfied with the quality and care that my cars were given. Every time, The cars have come back to me in better condition than I could've imagined! Lots of body shops just slap on aftermarket parts and get you in and out as quick as possible. Ambulance chaser by every definition of the word. I got rear ended and he was the first one on scene. The nicest thing Ronnie did during this whole experience was having the courtesy to check if we were okay before suggesting we take my car to his shop. He wouldn't leave us alone, insisting we tow it to his shop claiming the car wasn't drive-able. We eventually agreed to let him tow it assuming he'd be a decent human being and let us drive it off the lot the next morning. Come next morning we wanted to take the car off the lot even offering to get him in contact with insurance so he could get paid. He came up with every excuse why I wasn't able to take my car off the lot. Starting with "It wont shift out of park", so he let me try, and of course I shifted it and it drove no problem. Claiming to have 25+ years in the business but has never seen a lifting reverse lock on an auto before. He then told us it would be over $500 for the half mile tow -- $395 for the tow $95x2 for two days storage when the car just spent the night, $150 for labor (guess it took an hour to figure out how to shift the car). He also told me multiple times that my mechanic "doesn't do body work". Even though I knew they do body work (specializing in euro cars), and I talked to my mechanic the same morning and they said it was no problem. Overall he treated me like I knew nothing, even-though I actively work on my own car. I may not know as much as he does about cars, but he treated me like an idiot. After a long deliberation he agreed to tow it to my preferred mechanic, and they paid for the tow. Terrible experience overall, don't let this guy tow your car. He preys on vulnerable people, and tries to squeeze them for every penny. Couldn't handle the fact I wanted my own personal mechanic to take care of my car.... imagine that. Just an indecent person when things don't go his way. read more

Amazing customer service! Called and they took us in right away and repaired the damage to our car right on the spot. Highly recommended!

Went here after reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed. It was a very smooth process from estimate to them handing me back the keys. I went to them to fix a deep scratch and dent on my passenger side door. I got an estimate which took maybe 15 minutes and when I decided to go with them through my insurance it only got easier. I was able to drop off my car right as I went on a week long trip and by the time I got back the car was fixed up and they had no problem with the car being there while I was gone. When I got the car back you couldn't tell there was ever a scratch on it. The color was a perfect match and the door was smooth as the day I got it. They even detailed my car so it was basically like getting a new car back. I will definitely be back if I were need any more body work done on the car. read more

Ron & his team are presumptively the best in customer service & skill level in the area. I was kept informed of my vehicle's progress at every step of the repair, and not only was he kind, he's extremely informative and quite personable. I unfortunately got stock in the November snow storm with summer tires on the car. Long story short, I had some scratches on the side of my back bumper with one extending to the quarter panel. I brought the car to RG autobody due to the positive reviews that I read here. They were not wrong. My car came back not only perfect in craftsmanship but was fully detailed. I can't recommend these guys enough. Ron seemed to really take pride in his shop and the work that they do there and it shows. I highly recommend them. read more

My wife had an auto accident in early December. Ron and his staff are very friendly and did a great job repairing our Honda Civic. There were a couple of minor follow up issues which they took care of right away. Our car is looking and running great. I would recommend their business. read more
