Great shop and high quality work! Ron and his staff are very helpful in getting both repairs and paperwork done. A deer hit my truck about two miles away from his shop in late November. After filing a claim through my insurance, and being told that I needed to use a specific Auto Body shop, I decided to call RG to see if GEICO could assess the damage there. I was attracted to RG after reading through his Yelp reviews, and after calling, I was relieved to know that GEICO works with RG. After getting into the accident, Ron assured me that he'd take care of it and have it repaired. I dropped it off, and a rental car picked me up. I recommend calling to get weekly updates if you're in for repairs. The initial repairs were estimated to take 15 days, but after many phone calls and updates, it was clear that the job would take a full month (also factoring in the holidays). All parts were installed factory OEM, (after having to fight with insurance to not use cheaper aftermarket parts), and the truck looked better than new. It was worth the wait. Ron also helped offset the cost of my long term rental, by reducing my deductible by half. This helped tremendously, given that I only expected a 15 day rental period. Today, Ron was helpful in repairing a rock chip and rebuffing some paint on my grill, free of charge. If you choose RG, know he'll stand by his work and warranty his repairs. He tried to charge over $500 to release the car so we could take it to our trusted mechanic (Klaus Garage). He was extremely rude and abrasive. After calling our mechanic and having him speak to Ronny, Ronny agreed to tow it to the workshop. He left before we arrived at Klaus. I would not recommend RG Autobody at all. It was a terrible experience and Ronny takes advantage of people who are feeling vulnerable and scared. read more

I have unfortunately had several cars and SUV repairs at this location due to a fallen tree, several deer and a hit and run ..and EVERY repair was done impeccably and in a timely manner. I thought long and hard about making this but I feel it's best to warn people. Firstly, I was rear ended on Noxon Road and Lauer. I did not choose the tow company that was called. The police did. Luckily, the gentleman who rear ended me was amazing, and he took full responsibility and his insurance took care of everything. My issue starts with RG Auto body. Firstly, be very careful because they forged my signature on an official document. (don't let them say otherwise.) They forged my signature on the directive of pay so that they could get paid directly from the insurance company even though before they did the forgery, I asked the insurance company to pay me directly first. The accident happened on 4/14/23 and I didn't get my car back until May 25. They were not supposed to take that long. I will admit that the work that they did do looks great. But they did not fix the antilock brakes and then as soon as I get the car back it's nothing but attitude and victim blaming. The entire time they had my car it was a lie after lie to me and the insurance company. The insurance company called me and told me that Ronnie was either telling them the car would be ready the next day or it's almost done. And that was when they could get in contact with him. I finally had to physically go there, because the insurance company begged me to and when I did Ronnie claims he called the insurance company And ask them if they ever said that to me and he claims the insurance company said they never called me and told me that. Can you believe that? The insurance company wake me up at eight in the morning to complain that they are getting the runaround and I'm supposed to believe Ronnie when he says he called them to verify, they never said that to me and never called me ?! At the end of the day my biggest issue with them is that forging my name on an important document, which by the way, my lawyer confirmed was a legal document. Make sure if you go here and you don't want them getting paid directly that you get the insurance company to cut you the check first because I guarantee you if I would've had the check and they would've been waiting for it. My car would've got done way faster. read more

Ambulance chaser by every definition of the word. I got rear ended and he was the first one on scene. The nicest thing Ronnie did during this whole experience was having the courtesy to check if we were okay before suggesting we take my car to his shop. He wouldn't leave us alone, insisting we tow it to his shop claiming the car wasn't drive-able. We eventually agreed to let him tow it assuming he'd be a decent human being and let us drive it off the lot the next morning. Come next morning we wanted to take the car off the lot even offering to get him in contact with insurance so he could get paid. He came up with every excuse why I wasn't able to take my car off the lot. Starting with "It wont shift out of park", so he let me try, and of course I shifted it and it drove no problem. Claiming to have 25+ years in the business but has never seen a lifting reverse lock on an auto before. He then told us it would be over $500 for the half mile tow -- $395 for the tow $95x2 for two days storage when the car just spent the night, $150 for labor (guess it took an hour to figure out how to shift the car). He also told me multiple times that my mechanic "doesn't do body work". Even though I knew they do body work (specializing in euro cars), and I talked to my mechanic the same morning and they said it was no problem. Overall he treated me like I knew nothing, even-though I actively work on my own car. I may not know as much as he does about cars, but he treated me like an idiot. After a long deliberation he agreed to tow it to my preferred mechanic, and they paid for the tow. Terrible experience overall, don't let this guy tow your car. He preys on vulnerable people, and tries to squeeze them for every penny. Couldn't handle the fact I wanted my own personal mechanic to take care of my car.... imagine that. Just an indecent person when things don't go his way. read more

Went here after reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed. It was a very smooth process from estimate to them handing me back the keys. I went to them to fix a deep scratch and dent on my passenger side door. I got an estimate which took maybe 15 minutes and when I decided to go with them through my insurance it only got easier. I was able to drop off my car right as I went on a week long trip and by the time I got back the car was fixed up and they had no problem with the car being there while I was gone. When I got the car back you couldn't tell there was ever a scratch on it. The color was a perfect match and the door was smooth as the day I got it. They even detailed my car so it was basically like getting a new car back. I will definitely be back if I were need any more body work done on the car. read more

I unfortunately got stock in the November snow storm with summer tires on the car. Long story short, I had some scratches on the side of my back bumper with one extending to the quarter panel. I brought the car to RG autobody due to the positive reviews that I read here. They were not wrong. My car came back not only perfect in craftsmanship but was fully detailed. I tried to write this review 3 times now and it would never go through. My wife had drove off the road in the snow less tHe 2 miles from my house. She called me at work and I Left. It took me and hour and a half to get theree and by then the trooper showed up and had the car towed. Call the trooper barracks to find out who towed it and they told me RG autobody. So I call up RG autobody and they told me it was gonna be over $650. I was literally shocked when I heard that. So the next day I called him up about a towel and told them I had to take a car from my house to Poughkeepsie which is literally five times the distance that the car was towed to their yard and the lady on the phone quoted me at $150. After that I went in to confront them on the huge discrepancy and find out how come it was so much cheaper to tow the car that much further. I told him I just called up and the young lady gave me a quote. At this point he got mad gave me every excuse in the book that he needed to use special equipment to get the car out that the lady gave me a bad quote. After everything said and done I had to pay him $150 sign the title over just to get my stuff out of the car I never met such a scumbag in my life. I had my car at RG a few times the last time I took a car there the paint job came out so bad it was there 3 times multiple times buffed and even re printed and paint still looked horrible. I then took my car some other shop after getting rear ended and they called me up and had me come look at my car from last repair. The paint was in horrible shape. Bumper was held on with some sticky goo stuff and not the plastic clips that it shaped to be held on with. The time I took it back to get painted again spoiler started flapping a few months later never stayed down in corner and to top it all off I had to pay for my rental when it went back in to be painted. Ron gave me 80 bucks for weekend but my bill was 326 dollars for the entire time of the rental. I was not at all happy with work a r was 3 months old and work down to it made it look like it was 20 years old things happen I understand but it was back 3 times to fix it and needed to go back again and was painted 2 times and still was bad. read more

They even completed the work a couple of days earlier than I expected. And the detailing was very nice. They took care of everything with the insurance and car rental.
