Not only did they work directly with the insurance company (getting additional coverage for damage that was only revealed when you took the bumper off) they also negotiated with Volkswagen to get generic prices for new VW parts! (The insurance company would only pay for generic parts). Everything was done on a very timely basis. They have an arrangement with Enterprise rental in New Milford so I could drop the rental car off there at their shop. But the icing on the cake was the condition of my car when I picked it up- of course it was fixed but they had also washed and (I think) waxed the car as well as done an awesome job cleaning the interior! I dealt with Mark, who after looking at my car, ordered the paint necessary, got my car in the next day, buffed out the scratches, repainted the whole hood, and did so all free of charge; even allowing me to keep the leftover paint they ordered if I needed to touch up marks in the future. I've been to Matt's a few times before, and unlike other Auto Body Shops who would've overcharged me and taken forever to get the work done, these guys have always been straight forward, professionally run, and fairly priced, which I truly respect. Not terrible.....not good...unprepared. They did an inexcusable job on the windows and made me wait a week before I called it off knowing that I didn't want any of this behaviour in the future if I was going to use them....which I won't be. Keep in mind this car is a 15,000 mile, garage kept vehicle of a retired person who does not go to work each day and let it be exposed to the elements. The car was pristine. So I thought this would be a good time to lay down some ceramic coating. Bottom line..and what I'm most upset about is..I was charged 400 dollars for a SPRAY ON ceramic coating. Wait what you say, a SPRAY ON CERAMIC COATING. Four Hundred Bucks to spray something on my car? Washing it would be more labor intensive than spraying anything on the car. I feel that should have been disclosed in earlier discussions and felt taken advantage of as a result. Also, at the last second I realized He didn't return my key and as I went out the door to catch them, they were heading out my driveway with my key. I had to flag them down to get it back. I did not see the ceramic coating go on but everytime I looked out They were talking to each other not working on the car. Overall, I was not impressed by any professionalism and the lack of disclosure for what I was paying for, and lastly making we wait a week to come out and finish the job on the windows. They had a cream puff of a car to easily look like heros on and only scored a zero in my book. I really was hoping to establish a long term relationship with a Detailing Company that had their stuff together. This one didn't on that day.
