Came in to grab a delicious latte. I love the different varieties of matching they have. The store has absolutely beautiful decor. All the staff here are super friendly. I love how they have oat milk. I ordered the strawberry match and it was amazing. Would highly recommend.
This is such an adorable little matcha shop with a cute aesthetic! We stopped in because we were wanting a some caffeine but didn't want a heavy coffee and the coconut matcha latte sounded too good not to try. It was super yummy and definitely hit the spot! The inside is super cute with lots of fun details, pretty plants and decor, fun colors, and lots of photo worthy spots. Definitely the kind of place where you'll want to take a few pictures! Service was okay though, nothing super memorable. We weren't greeted when we walked in and at first we weren't really sure where we were supposed to order so maybe just a quick greeting or direction would have been helpful! One thing I really love is that they're a woman owned business and donate 5% of their sales to Ladies Who Launch which supports women and nonbinary entrepreneurs. Overall it's a super cute spot for matcha, photos, and a fun little outing. I'd definitely recommend checking it out :)
I really wanted to love Matcha Magic, but my first experience fell a bit short. All of their drinks sounded fantastic, and I ended up deciding on the black sesame matcha. The cafe was not busy at all, and service was quick, but a bit lackluster. The staff weren't super friendly, and it seemed like they didn't really want to be there. The matcha was definitely pretty, layered with black sesame sweet cream and swirl, but had so much ice in it that there wasn't a lot of actual matcha to drink. Overall, the flavor was really solid, it definitely made me want more drink, and less ice, for the nearly $9 I paid. The space is cute, and has ample seating, and fits in perfectly on Old Main Street in Bellevue. I definitely want to give this spot another try, and maybe try a concoction with a little less pizzaz to get the taste of their true matcha flavor.
Matcha Magic has a few locations in the Greater Seattle area; this one in particular that I visited was in Downtown Bellevue. There is street parking around the area and it's quite accessible via public transportation. From the outside, it doesn't seem very big. However, once you actually go inside, it is much larger. It was very spacious and very colorful inside. Lots of pink all around. The service was good. It was a friendly and simple interaction to get my order and drink out. I have been hesitant on trying the matcha from Matcha Magic because I have heard mixed reviews and opinions. Instead, I opted to order one of their popular smoothies, the Strawberry Glaze. The total for my smoothie came out to be $14.34. The smoothie consists of banana, strawberry, avocado, dates, collagen, tremella, and almond milk topped with coconut cream and swirled with house-made strawberry puree. It was good, but nothing I would personally order again.
Cute matcha place in old town Bellevue. We got a strawberry matcha and a blueberry matcha. The service is super friendly and the matcha flavors are fun and tasty- super fun to go on walk in the park with your tasty matcha.
Matcha Magic feels like the closest local version of an Erewhon-style smoothie outside of Joe & The Juice. I tried the Strawberry Glaze and understood the hype right away. It was rich, balanced, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. Compared to Erewhon smoothies, this one was more drinkable and less icy, which I preferred. Definitely mix it before drinking since the strawberry purée settles at the bottom and gets very sweet. The shop is cute and conveniently located in old downtown Bellevue near the park, making it an easy stop during a walk. They also let me briefly bring my dog inside while placing a takeout order, which I appreciated. For the price, it feels fair given the quality and ingredients. I'm already looking forward to trying the coconut smoothie next time.
A neat spot to get some matcha flavored drinks as well as other items. During my visit, I tried their featured drink - Mango Sticky Rice Matcha Latte - I thought the drink was still balanced and you do get the mango sticky rice taste to it as well. Overall, its worth checking out.
My partner and I joke that this place is why we moved to the eastside because wowwwww wowowowowwowow. I don't think I've ever loved a cafe this much since moving from my hometown nyc like 4 years ago the drinks are SO good (I've tried to recreate them at home and...to no avail). The matcha is perfect, great quality. The interior is ssoooooo cutie, so pink, so fun, feels like you're treating yourself I would be remiss not to mention how incredible the staff are too, like wowwwwww the friendliest baristas I've ever met even on the busiest days, they are soooo sweet, so friendly. Incredible team, we literally go every day off we have now can't say enough good about this spot
My first time visiting Matcha Magic, and unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. As soon as I walked in, the two girls working there greeted me very coldly. It honestly felt like they didn't want me there. I ordered my matcha and waited, and when it was ready, they simply placed it on the counter without saying a word while continuing their conversation. I was the only customer there that early in the morning, yet they didn't even seem to notice when I left. The matcha was okay, but the customer service made me feel completely unwelcome. I hope they treat future customers with a little more warmth and attention. I've honestly never felt so unwelcome in a café.
The food here is amazing! I've tried the avocado toast with salmon on top and it totally hits the spot! I've also tried their maca energy balls and I like that they're not too overly sweet! We always come back for the smoothies that's I find better than Erewhon IMO! Service is great! They're very friendly and make suggestions too! The ambiance is on point and is tied with their all natural and clean aesthetic theme, it's also a cute place to meet with friends or an after workout lunch or light snack!
I DoorDashed matcha magic Bellevue and the matcha was incredibly mid. I ordered the toast flight which was good, but the marshmallow matcha just had an unpleasant taste. Barely any marshmallow flavor, matcha flavor was watered down.
Can't wait to go back to try other drinks! I ordered the banana cream matcha and it was so good! Online ordering makes things super easy, too.
The interior is cute! Nice staff and a chill place to stop by and get a drink or acai bowls. I got the coco glow and it was fantasticc. The portion of the bowl is pretty big and i love the little granolas and the cripsy rice stuff in it. The flavors of the fruit and the coconut were a good mix! Didn't really taste the matcha chia seeds though. The bowl overall is super refreshing and delicious -- i'd come back for the bowls! On the other hand, i wasn't a fan of their matcha latte. It's very very earthy. It didn't taste like any matchas i've ever had and i've had a numerous amount..Maybe the best choice isn't the matcha latte? I was expecting better because everyone said their matcha is good but i don't see that at all :,) read more

Went in today for another visit to get my kiddo an after camp smoothie with my toddler in tow. We order the Strawberry Glaze smoothie and asked if it could be split for my kiddos to which I'm told yes, but not given notice that they charge $2 to split cup. I already think $14 is a bit steep for a smoothie, but they are good and convenient to my location so we still come in. When I was surprised by my tab- the employee tells me they have to charge us because more ingredients are needed when they split the cup. To me- it looks like I'm getting exactly the same amount of ingredients and smoothie as a normal size order, but just an additional cup. $16.58 for a smoothie seems like too steep a price to pay in my opinion. I guess maybe it's cuz we don't have an Erewhon nearby to make this place seem like a reasonable price. Anyways- better communication about the up charge at least would be good. read more

The vibe is so unique here so it's no surprise that you're paying mostly for that. The service is good, nothing terrible to note but also nothing above and beyond. The actual drink are pretty solid, but I don't know if I'd say they are $7-$15 good, especially since the size of the drink is pretty small. Parking can be difficult since it's packed area, but that's to be expected. Giving 4 stars mostly because of the value when getting something like a smoothie. I think they can do a bit better on pricing. read more

I bought a matcha tin to try at home because as I said earlier, I love trying different matcha. Also, for around $30?? the powder was not worth it. I think it lacked complexity and even a strong matcha taste. I usually add 3 grams per cup, but I had to use around 5g to taste matcha. Super unfortunate because I was hoping it was just the lack of prep and skimping on products, but I think the quality of matcha isn't the best. ): read more
There was a line on a weekday in the morning. I ordered the strawberry matcha iced drink and it was delicious. The bottom of the drink was a little more "matcha" flavor so definitely give it a good stir. If you don't drink it fast enough it also becomes bitter. But great drink and store. I want to try other things next time. read more

A beautiful place to sit down and catch up with friends. I loved the pink decorations and overall ambience, there were many cute spots for pictures and they had some cool matcha drink candles based on their menu. The service was good and efficient, we ordered a Matcha Horchata, the Dreamsickle, Blueberry Matcha, the Banana Cream Matcha and the Lox On toast. The Blueberry Matcha was a bit too sweet and the toast was okay, I didn't feel it was quite worth it compared to what I could make at home. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for their drinks and vibes! read more

Decided to try this place again after not liking it for the first time. Going this time, it was pretty good. I got the toasted matchamallow latte, and my partner got the strawberry matcha. He was not a fan of the strawberry matcha and couldn't really pinpoint why. I liked the toasted matchamallow latte but wish there was more marshmallow flavoring in it. The presentation is cute and the patcha does taste pretty high quality but wish it was maybe a little sweeter. Service was great, we left with a matcha tin as well. Parking is horrible though. read more

!! LOVE LOVE LOVE !! Well I was starting to lose hope to find good matcha in this rainy city. But alas, matcha magic magically saved the day!! This uber shop in Bellevue carries good matcha - I had it pure, without any adders, and it was fresh, balanced, foamy thick, even in the water only ceremonial version. Definitely try the matcha colada with coconut milk - oh so good, like being on an island! For those who don't want matcha, the dreamsicle smoothie has similar vibes. Service was friendly and drinks were made quickly. They also serve food like matcha chia pudding and toasts. We had the toast flight and liked the Greek life toast the most. They have a paid parking lot next to the shop as well as paid street parking nearby. I hope they open more franchises, would love to try more drinks! No outdoor seating so not dog friendly :(. But they do have takeout. And you'll notice from other reviews that the prices are not cheap but I thought the matcha was high quality and it ain't cheap - so we got what we paid for. Note also they only have plant milk options. read more

We stopped here after a grocery run, super cute place! Lots of people were working on their computers and catching up. Also, lots of food traffic around the store. Relatively easy to find parking. We tried the iced strawberry matcha and iced horchata matcha. Their default is oat milk. We liked our drinks but it's not something we will make a trip to come have. There isn't much of matcha flavor which we both enjoy. Overall, nice alternative fun day time read more

This place is so cute! I got the banana matcha smoothie because it's something different that I've never had before. I loved it! It wasn't overly flavorful or sweet, which is a matcha experience I enjoy -- subtle earthy flavor with a hint of yummy sweetness. I thought this drink was great and would definitely get it again. The employee that took my order was very nice and friendly, and gave her opinion on the menu as it was my first time in. I also bought the lavender matcha candle because I HAD to, and it's been a great addition to my home. This spot is so cutely decorated, I love it! Maybe a little limited on seating but that's it. read more

DO NOT GET THE TOAST! $20 for 3 pieces of toast should illegal. The Avocado isn't even fresh, it's the packaged spread kind. I approached that they have gluten free bread substitute. None of them tasted very good and not filling at all. Service was mid. I asked the barista if she thought the ceremonial matcha is better hot or cold, she didn't respond... so I assumed she didn't hear me and asked again to which she said "ya I don't know". Thankfully another barista jumped in and said that it has a stronger matcha taste if ordered hot. Also no free wifi :/ I hate that the tables are like patio tables so uncomfortable and odd. Overall vibe inside is nice and I like that the music isn't too loud. Toast flight 0/5: wouldn't order again, not fresh, not filling. I got the house avocado, everything and Greek life. Since none of them were fresh they were all equally bad but ig Greek was probably best and House one the worst. The fact that it's a spread Avocado makes it taste so bad and for that price is insane. Ceremonial matcha 4/5: I feel wish it had a stronger matcha taste but still good. read more

Popped into Matcha Magic after lunch for a matcha break (not coffee) and it delivered. I've tried a few spots around town and this one jumps near the top: they whisk it fresh to order and let you choose the strength. I went double strength--clean, grassy, not bitter--and honestly it hit better than coffee for a midday lift. The space is cute without being try-hard--pink décor, bright, and cheerful. Menu's not just matcha, either: plenty of smoothies and açaí bowls if you want something cold or more filling. Service was friendly and efficient; nothing over the top, but quick and on it. If you love matcha, go. Quality is there, customization is easy, and the vibe's fun. I'll be back. read more

Super adorable matcha spot on Main St! Quick service, my drink was made with care. I got an iced soy matcha latte, it wasn't too sweet and it was super tasty. My açaí bowl was tasty. I'd come back again for the matcha! read more
I stopped by this spot and the girls working there were super sweet and attentive, they really make you feel welcome. The place itself is cute and aesthetic, definitely has a nice vibe. The matcha was good overall, but honestly not at all ceremonial like I was told it would be. Maybe some of the other drinks are, but mine wasn't - it had a strong bitterness that stood out right away. For someone who doesn't drink much matcha it might pass, but if you know the difference you can tell immediately. I was a bit disappointed because if I had been given the option to pay extra for a higher quality matcha, I would have done it or just chosen another mix. read more

3.5/5 stars. Popped in for an afternoon treat and wanted the strawberry lemonade but...how can you not get matcha? So I opted for the matcha lemonade, 7 bucks is pretty steep so my expectations were high. Has aspects of tart lemon and a subtle matcha, not too sweet. Super refreshing. Service was good and quick. Inside was bustling. Got lot parking which they validate! read more

I have been to Matcha Magic in Bellevue several times. Has a super cute interior and a good study spot. It is also women owned. It used to be one of my favorite matcha spots when visiting Old Bellevue. Staff are always friendly and make orders quickly. My two favorite drinks are the Toasted Marshmallow matcha latte and Purple Rain which is a seasonal drink. However, I feel that their quality has gone down recently. The drinks are still pretty but I don't really get that strong flavor of matcha anymore. It feels more like I'm drinking milk. And with how pricey these drinks are, I'd rather get what I'm paying for. I don't know if there's been a change in staff or if they've changed their ratio, but unfortunately it looks like I might need to find a new matcha spot if this keeps up. I'd still recommend it to people looking for matcha that's flavorful with syrups, but if you're looking for straight up plain matcha lattes, this might not be the place for you. read more
