Simply put - LIFE CHANGING…read more My background - I've never lifted weights, I've never been one to exercise. But this little shop of miracles - they changed all that. They took a terrified beginner (or even lower than beginner if such a term exists), and helped him fall in love with the exercise, with the workouts, with the process, with the philosophy. I'm not kidding when I say that my first day - I was just worried my leg would go shooting across the room on my first machine. But the staff was patient, detailed, and thorough. They made sure I knew exactly what I was doing, and they were watching everything cautiously to make sure I was safe and my form was ok. That was a year ago, this week. One year later - I can't believe how far I've come. When I started, I just had a simple goal - I'd like to be able to do one squat. Now I can do a half dozen without even focusing on it. A myriad of little changes to my life, my health, my lifestyle - all these little improvements that make everything so much better than it's ever been. I'm emotional just thinking of the process... And truly - it just comes down to the trainers, the staff - they're my guides, my scouts, my mentors in this journey. They never tire of my asking question after question about how to better my form, how to improve my technique, and I owe them so much for that. I'm a full convert now. Full stop. As long as I'm physically and financially able to - I can't imagine ever stopping this process. THANK YOU to every one at the Strength Shoppe (Jazzy, Adal, Anwar, Derek, EVERYONE) for helping this one man find a path in his life he didn't even know he needed, and never would have thought he could love so much.

I went to this gym as my trainer moved to different locations a few times before landing here as…read morehis final spot. I'm very impressed with the facility and was wowed the first time coming. Now it is my standard on what I would want as a minimum from a private gym. Facility is regularly cleaned and half the time when I come, I see someone mopping or wiping equipment. There are plenty of dumbbells, barbells (different grips), myriad of machines, and 3 cages and 3 deadlift platforms. You got battle rope, slam balls, weighted pouches, climbing rope, resistance bands, hip thrust platform, sled, large tires, weighted bats, and many other equipment that will basically cover all your needs and more. They also have spray bottles and towels for you to wipe down equipment. It's an personal trainer appointment based gym, so you need a trainer and a schedule time slot. You unfortunately cannot just walk in whenever, or come here on your own for the most part. But I do like this aspect as generally the novices or newer people won't be randomly wandering around and causing issues in the gym, and the trainers will usually keep things organized and structured in a way to not bother other clients. The other trainers I've met and seen are generally friendly and open so it's not an issue trying to get space or to hit up a certain workout. It's generally very open and empty, as it's a private gym, so you really get to do the things you want without any or much waiting, unlike going to a big box gym like LA Fitness/Gold's Gym/24hr. However it does get packed on weekends, so there may be multiple trainers and clients crowding up the area, and sometimes people may be waiting on equipment. This rarely happened when I went as it would usually start dying down around my appointed time and I think they added limits to how many trainers can train for the same time slot. When it's a few people or just yourself here, this gym is really amazing and worth it. I wasn't able to come all the time, but on the days I did, those were my high effort days. I would work out really hard and hit on all the things that are usually difficult or inconvenient to do at my regular gym. Overall, great facility, very spacious, lots of natural light, tons of equipment, clean restrooms and facility in general, and a very cool owner. It is however pricey and understandable. Would be cool to have an experienced gym goer time slots where you could come without a trainer for monthly cost but the legal stuff and whatnot. If there was one, I would probably join in a heartbeat even with the drive being relatively far from my new home now. I've trained here for 2-3 years? before my trainer left this field, and have come here once for a private session on my own. I haven't gone back in a year since writing this, but I wish to revisit some day!

"Read the Owner's Own Website Before Trusting His Response to Complaints"…read more A recent review on this page raised a straightforward concern: free weights keep disappearing, management has been notified repeatedly, and nothing has been done. The owner's public response was dismissive, deflective, and when you read his own website, completely self-contradictory. The owner argued that because PSC doesn't use the word "membership," the reviewer had nothing to terminate. But PSC's own homepage advertises its no-membership model as a selling point. Their exact words: "without the hassle of memberships." He is literally using his own marketing pitch as a legal shield against a client complaint. Whatever you pay for access here, hourly rental, recurring training, bootcamp, BJJ, you have a paid service agreement. The label doesn't determine your rights as a consumer. The exchange of money for a promised service does. Now look at the services page. PSC rents space to multiple independent trainers who bring their own clients in and out of the facility throughout the day. This is a multi-user commercial space with rotating occupants and shared equipment. In that environment, inventory control is not optional. It is a basic operational responsibility. The owner's defense that there are no on-site employees to address problems does not excuse anything. It describes the failure. If you run a facility where multiple parties access shared equipment daily and no one is accountable for maintaining it, missing weights are not a mystery. They are a management problem you chose not to solve. The owner also publicly implied, without any evidence, that the reviewer and other clients may have been trespassing. These are paying clients who raised a maintenance concern. Accusing them of potential crimes in a public forum is not a business responding in good faith. It is intimidation dressed up as a rebuttal. The gym may have solid equipment and capable trainers. But how a business handles accountability tells you more than its marketing does. This owner responded to a legitimate complaint by redefining his own customers out of existence, confirming that no one monitors the facility, and threatening a reviewer publicly. Read that owner response carefully. Then decide if this is somewhere you want to spend your money.

The programming here is smart and intentional, not just a random mashup of movements designed to wreck you.
