I met Rudy back in 2022. Unfortunately at the time he couldn't take on new clients because he had a full schedule. He left a positive impression on me so I decided to reach out this year. I've been working out with since April and have lost 8 lbs working out 3x/week and being consistent with my meal plan. All my old clothes fits again. Thanks, Rudy! :) Rudy truly cares about his client's goals and concerns. As someone who has injuries, it important to have someone knowledgeable and who is able to guide you to meet your goals while still be conscious of your limitations. I needed to get stronger and build more muscle. I have experience with fitness, so I needed someone who wouldn't just teach me basics but would push me to my fullest potential. Rudy does exactly that. He also pays attention to every detail--form, nutrition, and proper programming. He didn't just give me a meal plan; he explained how to fuel my body for recovery and performance, adjusting macros based on my progress and how I felt each week. That alone made a huge difference in my energy during heavy lifts. Where Rudy really shines is powerlifting-focused strength building. He broke down each compound lift--squat, bench, deadlift--fixing small form inefficiencies which helped me prevent and recover from nagging injuries. Rudy pushes me past my limits. On days when I thought I had nothing left, he'd adjust the weight or rep scheme just enough to force an extra quality set. He knows exactly when to add intensity and when to pull back, which built my mental toughness without breaking me down. Thanks to his coaching, I've hit PRs I didn't think were possible six months ago. Whether you are an experienced athlete or a beginner, look no further. read more

I've been going to the gym for years, but honestly, I always felt a little lost when it came to my form and exactly how to handle my calories and macros. That all changed when I started training with Rudy at his private spot in Pasadena about two months ago. Rudy is just the best--he's become a total friend and is so easy to talk to. He's incredibly kind and never tries to "oversell" you on anything. What I love most is that he's a total pro who doesn't talk down to you; he just breaks down the science behind the "why" so everything actually makes sense. He doesn't sugarcoat the truth, but he's always there throughout the day with check-ins and encouragement to keep me moving. The results have been such an eye-opener! I was really frustrated that my weight loss had stalled, but Rudy helped me figure out how to drop the weight safely and consistently--without ever feeling like I was starving. In just two months, I'm already down about 9 pounds of fat and successfully recomping at the same time. The biggest surprise, though? Discovering what I'm actually capable of! I had no idea I was this strong, but with his structured program, I just hit a massive milestone: deadlifting 185 lbs for 5 reps! Beyond the lifting, his knowledge of hormonal health and wellness has been a total game-changer for my energy levels. He's so passionate about what he does and truly goes the extra mile to tailor everything to you. If you want a trainer in Pasadena who actually knows his stuff and cares about your progress, Rudy is definitely your guy! read more

I've been training with Rudy for about 6 months and I've seen real changes in both my strength and body composition. He customized my workouts to exactly what I needed, explained everything clearly, and kept me consistent even on the weeks I wanted to fall off. Sometimes I felt like I wasn't making any progress but had to keep in mind that weight does fluctuate and to not let that get to me. Seeing the changes in the mirror helped me stay on track. The progress I've made with him is greater than when I thought I could do it myself. His weight-loss approach is straightforward and no nonsense. Rudy has been very kind and easy to work with. There's so much I could say about Rudy! But I'll start by saying that he is incredibly talented at what he does. He's encouraging and always attentive to how my body is feeling. When I started, I knew absolutely nothing about fitness or strength training, but Rudy's knowledge has made all the difference. It's clear that he's well-educated in this field, and I truly believe this is his calling & On top of that, he has the best personality-- a person I'm truly happy to have part of my life now read more

Rudy's big smile & positive energy are the perfect antidote to my lack of enthusiasm for weightlifting. I've been training with Rudy about a year now and my increased strength has really made a difference. I can maneuver a raft full of customers in whitewater with greater ease than before, and with less shoulder issues. I can ride a bike up a hill as if I've been cycling more than I really have lately. Rudy is a great listener, and really pays attention to when I can go harder, and when it is better to go easy. His knowledge of fitness shows in his ability to come up with good alternate exercises when I have an injury, or have overworked certain muscles. Reading Younger Next Year, I learned the importance of weight training, but I didn't want to do it. Thanks to Rudy, I have actually come to look forward to going to the gym. I had been struggling to lose my Covid weight and had tried a couple of trainers with no real progress, but with Rudy I'm already down 10lbs. He practically has it down to a science which helps make it less overwhelming and almost kind of easy. I'm also rehabing my hip and he's been really mindful of that and helping me work around my injury so that I can keep working out and stay active. He's really attentive and checks in regularly which really sets him apart from other trainers I've had. He's also very knowledgeable about not just fitness but nutrition as well which is incredibly helpful when you're on a weight loss journey. With Rudy's training, losing weight isn't really a matter of "if" more a matter of "when" so if that's your goal, 10/10 recommend. read more

Rudy Personal Trainer - I've trained with Rudy for 18 months & I feel great! - Trainers Near Me - Pasadena, California

Rudy is an amazing personal trainer! He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable in regard to fitness. He is down-to-earth, kind, and patient with a positive attitude. Rudy is also conscientious, therefore, he is prompt with starting the sessions because he wants to ensure that the clients get their money's worth - so be on time! LOL! I started training with Rudy to get toned. During the process, he taught me the importance of good nutrition along with weight training. He tailors exercises to each client depending on his/her physical abilities and desired results. I learned plenty of different exercises from Rudy for various body parts, so it is never boring or repetitive. He is an awesome motivator during the tough spots (e.g., deadlifts) and a great source of inspiration throughout the training. At times, even I was surprised at what I was capable of. He has a way of pushing me to my full potential while keeping the workout fun. I am eternally grateful to Rudy because he helped me to create and maintain a healthier lifestyle. read more

Rudy is the 7th trainer I've worked with in my lifetime and by far is the best. He's obviously very well educated in his profession but is also good at reading the client. I have injuries and limitations that he not only has the technical knowledge to improve on, but he also assesses quickly what things my body is responding to best. He listens to my feedback and adapts the workout to that information. His client portfolio includes young athletes to senior citizens and I like that we all perform so well under his guidance. The energy is very comfortable while still being physically challenging which motivates me to try harder. I'm confident in saying it is hard to imagine any client who is serious not getting great results from training with Rudy. read more

Rudy is the main man! He is very thorough, takes his time, and explains everything throughout your program. Wouldn't recommended anyone else. I am a licensed PTA (6+ years) who has seen many personal trainers promote unproven science to make money. Have also seen many patients seek treatment after seeing an uneducated trainer. Rudy has the skills to guide your program to your needs and if you need specific accommodations. Unfortunately I had to move back home to FL recently due to personal reasons but would fly out to Cali just see Rudy again! Ha read more

Rudy is an exceptionally amazing Personal Trainer! I have been working out with weights for many years. After I reached plateau 10 years ago, I struggled to overcome it for years but no success. Just imagine that being stuck with the same level of strength and body fat composition ever since without much progress, lifting same weights days in days out. So when Rudy approached me regarding Personal Training, I wanted to give it a shot, maybe I could make a break-through. And I am so glad now I made the decision to do it and sign up with him. After 20 years of working out with weights and staying active (swimming, running, skiing, and others), I thought I should have known almost everything about bodybuilding and my current impasse was a result of genetics. I am so glad that I was wrong. With Rudy, old tricks, old exercises are made new again and my work-outs have become much more interesting with infinite combinations of challenging exercises. He also introduces me to many new exercises that I learn to love and I have incorporated them into my regimen. He also forces me to do exercise that I hate to do but are of great benefit. He is also fun to be around (does that French accent have anything to do with that?) and that helps to make every of my challenging work-out easier to manage, even when I am near puking during training sessions with him. It takes pushing yourself to limits if breakthroughs are to be made. His personality does help to make things more pleasant and encourage me to overcome the anxiety of trying new things or pushing myself to breaking point. Before I knew it, after several months of training with him, I broke through the plateau and have been climbing. After so many years, having many personal bests again is just simply amazing and gratifying! I would have never thought that I could squat 295 lbs due to various problems - bad knees, bad lower back or getting injured every time I tried to go higher than 255 lbs. Then boom, I was able to do 295 lbs squatting, my personal best ever, them zoom, pushed it to 315 lbs, another personal best. And it seems I am on the way to surpass it again in days and months ahead. WOW!!! Being able to do what I have never thought I would be able to do, is something un-describable and worth being cherished. Or I had been trying to get my forearms to grow bigger with no avail. Now, finally they start to get bigger. Simply amazing again! Of course, these progresses also are the results of my dedication and persistence, but Rudy is the catalyst to make them happen! Rudy is an amazing trainer if you are motivated to get stronger, to look better, and to be in the best shape of your life. read more
