I came in for a coolant flush, and from the moment I pulled in, they were professional, welcoming, and incredibly efficient. They took the time to walk me through what they were doing, explained the importance of the service, and made sure I felt confident in everything before getting started. Gabe and Jesse worked seamlessly as a team--quick, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. They made sure the coolant flush was done thoroughly and correctly, and even checked over a few other things just to make sure my car was running in top shape. I really appreciated that extra level of care and attention. The whole experience was smooth, honest, and actually enjoyable, which isn't something you always expect when getting car maintenance done. If you're going to Valvoline in Brooklyn, I highly recommend asking for Gabe and Jesse--they truly set the standard for great service.

The two gentleman at Whay's were so SO kind and quickly diagnosed our problem (bad fan motor) and offered us advice as to who could fix it quickly for us (we were en route to Maine for work). I was in the market of buying an aftermarket exhaust for my Lamborghini Gallardo. The owner of this…read moreshop Dustin B. responded to my post in a FB group and offered a used system. He stated that he would practically be giving it away and would very likely be the lowest price for that exhaust. But he then quoted me a price of $2,900 for an exhaust that retails for the (now Covid inflated) price of $4,100. I was surprised to see this kind of pricing for a used system, especially when the same exhaust was offered to me by another legit seller for only $800. After showing him the seller and his offer he then came down with the price to $1,390.50 shipped because he stated it has been sitting in his garage for a while so he would be willing to go down on price. However, if I wanted to pay via a secured method like a credit card I would have to add 3% to the price. Apparently this guy doesn't know it's illegal to charge customers credit card processing fees. Anyways, I asked for an invoice but let him know I am reviewing other offers as well. A day later while I was running errands on a busy Saturday, he messaged me on FB saying that he had packed up the exhaust and it is ready to ship if I made the payment right then and there. I read the messages but I was driving so I didn't reply right there and then, especially if I had explained I was looking at other offers as well. I understand he wants to make a sale and be a little pushy however, what came next was just weird. He followed up a little bit later the same day with an angry message saying that I should have the 'decency" to at least let him know if I wanted to buy the exhaust since it shows that I've read his message. He basically accused me of giving him the runaround. I told him I was running errands and he needs to relax. That didn't help either, as he got even more angry and that he should expect to receive a prompt answer despite having been told that I am reviewing all offers received. At this point all I could is respond with a laugh emoji since I have never seen a business owner act like this. But wait, the laugh emoji pushed him even further. After seeing that he stated he would post his exhaust up for sale publicly, indicating he had reserved it for me even though it has been collecting dust in his garage since forever and I just met him virtually 2 days prior. He would also tell everyone on the FB group to not waste their time with me. Well Dustin, I have to let the millions of people who use Google and other online review sites know how aggressive you act towards people and hope nobody will ever make the mistake of wanting to buy anything from you unless you have undergone some sort of anger management classses or let a trained sales rep handle your sales.

As a single woman and a…read moremother, it can be really hard to find a mechanic you can trust without feeling like you're being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, that has been my experience more times than I'd like to admit. The first shop I called gave me a bad feeling right away based on their customer service, but I still made an appointment. Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. BUYERSBEWAREBUYERSBEWAREBUYERSBEWARE!!!…read more Go ahead and drive a lil bit further (10ish mins) to K & K Tires instead! K & K Tires is located at 823 Fairview Ave, Linthicum Heights, MD. ---- Last night (6/15) my front left (driver's side) tire had a hole in it and I had to pull over to a 7/11 in Glen Burnie to get air. The air wouldn't keep. I checked my other tires and noticed I had a bubble and gash in my front right tire as well. I couldn't drive home. It was late. I called multiple tire shops that were open, they couldn't help. I was able to speak to a Mobile Tire Service who said he could swap out the tires for me first thing in the morning so I had to lyft home and leave the car overnight. The next morning (6/16 == today), my mobile service tech picked up [what was supposed to be] two 235 tires from Gillies. We wanted to put a slightly wider tire on for both of the fronts (recommended is 225). I met the tech at 7/11 he put the two tires on and I asked him where he got them from because my back tires were closed to being bald as well. He said Gillie's. So I got the address and immediately went to Gillie's. I noticed my car was making a noise and wasn't driving like normal but I'm think it's just the new width of [what was supposed to be] the two 235 front tires. I pulled up to Gillie's trying to get back tires to replace the back tires. The service guy/worker (who actually sold the tires to my mobile guy) told me he didn't have them (the back tires) in stock and also that my car was staggering down the road/limping. Still unbeknownst to me that we (I and/ the mobile tire service guy) were sold two different sized front tires from Gillies, I went to three other tire places who didn't have the size of the back tires. I ended up finding K & K Tires this morning (thank god) trying to get the back tires replaced (which they had in stock), however, when I got there their mechanics were telling me that they couldn't change the backs cause the fronts were not even the same size. I ended up having them change the front two tires to the SAME/matching size. I was already seriously late for work so I had to go to work but I contacted the mobile tire repair guy to contact Gillie's while I was at work because I couldn't have my phone. He contacted them and told me to go back after work so they can fix everything. After work (within the last hour), I drove to Gillie's and was immediately met by the serviceman who told me earlier that my car was staggering, and he told me that he already knows what I'm here for (he got the call) and that he was going to get the manager, "Gillie". Gillie, instead of coming outside to speak to me directly, kept relaying messages to his employee and also my mobile tire repair guy (who I was on the phone with trying to get this resolved). Back and forth back and forth. I was waiting outside for 30 mins before I told my mobile service guy to call Gillie and tell him to come outside to speak to me because Gillie didn't want to fix the issue that they caused. My whole transmission could've went bad as the tires were different sizes and I have an all-wheel drive sports sedan. Gillie finally came outside trying to belittle me telling me "I don't know cars", "he was on the phone w/ the mobile tire repair guy when he was changing my tires" and a bunch of other lies. Definitely lying about being on the phone w/ the mobile service guy because I was right next to him as he was putting on the tires. At this point, it's a scene, there's other patrons there witnessing everything. Gillie wanted to just give me two 235 tires (which was supposed to had be the case in the first place), which wouldn't have fixed the situation as K & K Tires properly put two matching front tires on so I wouldn't ruin my transmission as I have to drive a lot of miles across the DMV. Gillie told me "it's on me if I want to make a bad review". Gillie would rather risk the reputation of his business than to make things right by his customer. PLEASE GO TO K & K Tires not too far from here if you value your vehicle and safety!!!!!!!!!!!!! The location (for my account) says SanFran (account defaulted to that) but this is for the "business" located at 4904 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225 (it may say Brooklyn, MD in some places/websites online).
