Was fairly new to the Fort Worth area (4 years at TCU), and had been looking around for a dependable tailor for some little jobs here and there. These guys were it. Wether it was getting some pants tailored for a better fit, a jacket tailored, or something as small as getting some button that had fallen off put back on a blazer, they handled it. Very cordial guys who know what they're doing and are fair in price. Each job was also either ready before promised or at the time promised which has been hard to come by with tailors in my past experiences. I've been coming to Master Tailor for well over 10 years now and I've never been disappointed with the quality of their work. Byron has always been thorough and courteous and I've never had issues with their alterations failing later. I've never needed a quick turnaround so I can't speak to that aspect of their service. My dress is scalloped on the bottom with beautiful detail and I was able to have the detail removed and reattached with a shorter length. While I found one of the tailors to be very kind and attentive, my main comment on the place is that my dress, a bridesmaid dress for a wedding, was not ready the day it was supposed to be. Big faux pas. They "forgot about it." The guy offered to do the dress while I waited, but I had taken time out of my work day to swing by and pick it up. He promised me a discount and fell all over himself. I came 2 days later and he had no idea who I was. He started to ring me up for the full price. I corrected him, reminding him he said he'd give me discount. For my trouble? $3 whole dollars off. Seriously, I'd recommend you find someone more reliable. read more

I have been using Master Tailors since 2007. I take all my really important alterations there. They are fabulous and always make everything look great! They worked wonders on a bridesmaid dress that had to be taken in in multiple places. When it was finished it was like the dress was made just for me! Love these guys!! They didn't mark paid on my receipt when I offered to pay when I dropped off. Told me I had to pay again even though I could tell them what bills I paid with and where he went to get change. Person first time I went was complaining because they were not opened when he needed his clothes. Should have turned around then and left. Try it if you like being lied to. read more

I called Master Tailor, which was very close to the Omni Hotel where I was staying. I was looking for a miracle since my suit pants needed an alteration, and I had to only an hour to get it done. His place closes at 1pm on Saturday and I already knew I was going to miss him. I literally pulled up at 12:55pm and Byran offered to stay after and get this done for me!! I mean this guy not only stayed later for me on a Saturday, but did an amazing job alerting my Tom James suit pants, which are not cheap. He only charged me $15!! I only wish he is ship was in Houston!! If you're looking for a Tailor that really knows his stuff and is good on price, then look no more!! read more

Took in some pants to replace a tack button that had ripped out. They did an extremely sloppy job patching up the old hole, and used an old tack button that is warped, dented, and says "old navy" on it - even after telling me the job would take a bit longer b/c they needed to order new buttons first. Not worth my time asking them to fix it, since I don't trust that they'll do a better job the second time around. read more

Worst experience. Rented a tux for my son from this place because this is where the party had reservations. First of all, the price was very high (190.00). My son was fitted for his tuxedo about 2 weeks prior to our event. We were told that we needed to pick up on the Thursday before the event. The Thursday that it needed to be picked up a bad storm hit. I called the company and it seemed as if they were too busy to help and were preoccupied. I told them that I would run late to pick up the tuxedo. They had a very hard time finding my order and asked me to call back with my receipt so they could find it. I then called back and it went to vm about 8 times. When I was finally able to speak with someone they said that it was not there and would not be there til the next day due to the storm. I said ok and that I would be there early the next day. On Friday I went to pick up the tuxedo and the gentleman said it was not there and would not be there til about 12:30 or 2pm. I never received a phone call that the tuxedo was not there and I should come later. I told them that I would not be able to come back due to other appointments and asked if it would be ok if I had someone else pick it up. He said yes and that he really wanted a final fitting. I said ok and we left. My brother picked up the tuxedo and through a miscommunication, we were too late for a final fitting. When it was time for the event, the arms on the shirt were way too long and silly looking. The jacket was big in the shoulders and long on the arms. To top it all off, the soles of the shoes came off. We had to use our own tuxedo jacket (I did not use mine because it was not what the party ordered) and my son wore boots with his tuxedo. When I returned the tuxedo, I explained to the owner our situation. Right away, he tried to put it all on me and said that I should've went in for a final fitting. Yes we should have gone but what could they have done on a Saturday morning of the event. They also should have had it on Friday for us to have a fitting when we went in. He did refund me for my shoes and then said I added 10. if this helps you. This was really offensive because it was not about the extra 10. It was about renting and paying for a product that I could not even use. I left very upset and contemplated writing a review. I was going to just suck it up and not go back. Later in the afternoon my mother in law called me and said that she returned my brother in laws tuxedo and the owner apol!ogized and said he did not know what went wrong with my order and put all of the blame on me. He obviously did not know we were related. When she became defensive and started defending me, some customers walked in and he changed the subject. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! read more
