Got a free voucher from Yelp to enjoy any medium sized beverage. The chestnut series was tempting but decided to go with fragrant jasmine milk tea. The barista adjusted it no whipped cream, less ice and 50% sugar. The boba wasn't as soft as I thought it was going to be. It was kind of hard in my opinion. I could definitely taste the aroma of the jasmine tea and it was a good flavor and very fragrant. Place looks very elegant and good for groups and pictures since each wall is a different background for picture time! There is a lit up bamboo wall with Master Panda in the center that's good for pictures. Definitely a good hangout spot for get togethers. No loud music either so conversations are better.

Discovered this spot from a Yelp Queens event. The space was spacious and homey. There were a few areas to sit and hang out. You can choose to order from the cashier or the two kiosks opposite of the counter. They also have a website to order ahead. There are a lot of unique options on the menu from tea and coffee. They also have seasonal items that rotate. I got the Chestnut Rice Mochi Milk Tea. I loved how the chestnut paste went so well with the mochi. The mochi was so soft and were melt in your mouth in how fresh it was. I loved how creamy the drink was and the combination of the flavors went so well together. Service overall was very quick. I definitely would go back again.
Came to Master Panda on Valentine's Day and was surprised by a rose. Super cute! I had some time and was in search for a late morning spot with a friend. The place is spacious and I love the giant chairs they have. Sadly the baos were unavailable at the time. We ordered our drink with "adventurous" add-ins. I got a milk tea latte with pumpkin puree and my friend had mochi rice for hers. I think my drink probably needed to be creamier to balance out the pumpkin puree. It didn't elevate the experience. As for the mochi rice, it wasn't bad but a bit too thick. The drinks are on the expensive side (or so I think) but if I'm in the area, I'd stop by to give it another try.
My friend and I came here on 3/8 because it was BOGO. I ordered the jasmine tea and she ordered Osmanthus. TBH, the location is so far from the station. Especially since the 7 is not running to court square on the weekend. The drink itself was a little bland, needed to be steeped longer in my opinion. One thing I liked about the drink was the cup as it was so cute. The service was a little slow, I wished they would've hired more workers to quicken up the service. Otherwise, the ambiance was great and the interior was cute and photo worthy. As part of the promo, my friend and I also got fluffy bags. Overall, the drink was worth the price.
Be prepared to wait abt 15mins for a drink. 4/5 osmanthus milk tea w/matcha cream: This was really good; floral, well balanced, matcha flavor was spot on. 2/5 chestnut rice mochi milk tea- something abt this drink was really off- tastes like fake milk: oat milk or something.
This is a very cute, clean and spacious cafe, close to the 7 train Jackson/Vernon stop or a 15 minute walk from Court Square subways. Great place to meet up with friend(s) and sip some tea. The girl at the counter is very nice and friendly. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter. They will let you know when your order is ready. They seem to have a lot of UberEats delivery orders, but if you're not in a rush, you can lounge in the cafe on one of those comfy chairs while having your drink. They have a variety of milk teas, fruit teas and slushies. I tried a few drinks. My fav one is the Grape Fusion Supreme with real grapes in it. It is also a popular drink. Another one that I liked was the Jasmine Passion Mango with passion fruit in it. There are other drinks with rice mochi in it, but I didn't like the rice mochi, even though they had high reviews. It's like a dessert in the drink. It's a big soft chunk vs in ball shape form. Don't think I've had this kind of mochi before. Other than that, I think the drinks itself without the mochi would be okay. You can customize the sugar and ice levels too. They also have buns for snacks but I haven't tried it though. I'd say it's a great cafe to visit when in the area.
Came in earlier this week and tried the strawberry milk mochi and green tea mochi. Both were ordered with little ice and regular sugar. The strawberry milk mochi was delicious. Exactly what I thought it would taste like. I personally did not find the green tea mochi drink that enjoyable. The service was fast and the employee was very nice. The cafe was very cute and a perfect place to hang out with friends.
Went to redeem a coupon for 50% off total purchase (2nd one I got for Lunar New Year this year...thanks to MP) - got a few drinks and tried some of their food items. New to me was the Grape Fusion Supreme. It was refreshing, with grape chunks and very little grape seeds - so much better than a grape smoothie I had from another place (didn't like the blended seeds in that one.) Taro puree can be an addtl topping so instead of getting a taro drink, I just added it for $1.50. Tiramisu was light, good dessert at $5.50. The Pork baos were dry, maybe the bread and meatball were too dense, not juicy. The Joyful Treat Bowl has a base- I picked rice mochi; 5 Toppings from the drink toppings menu (with boba, chestnut boba, crushed fig, cheese foam and extra mochi), thought there were fruit options but none; sauce - got matcha. Looked like a mish-mash of ingredients and similar textures but my husband and I did like it. It is a shareable size. Daily happy hour specials for this month (check their website). For BOGO free offers, drinks have to be the same, even the toppings.

I decided to give Master Panda another shot and tried their Enjoy Fig Treasure Tea. Spoiler alert: there was absolutely no flavor. It tasted like milk--very underwhelming considering the fancy presentation. And let's not forget the price--a chunky $9 pre-tax. For that amount, I expected a flavor explosion, not a dud. The seating area was packed with a big group of people, and literally all the spots were taken. With a maximum seating capacity of eight people, finding a seat here is like winning the lottery. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this boba spot. How they have so many positive reviews is beyond me. Their boba is among the worst I've ever had. Save your money and your taste buds--go somewhere else.
Really wanted to go here after I saw a post on Instagram...but was highly disappointed. Not sure if they were doing renovations or Instagram over glamorized it because it really sucked. The staff was very rude and basically said "what do you want?". Asked her a question about what something on the menu was and instead of answering it, she just said "don't matter. No more". Food: got some dessert thing (Joyful treat bowl) that sounded really good but was a whole big glob of mess and did not taste good. Master Panda, thanks for participating in the Yelp Lunar New year Boba Crawl and being the first and last stop. The jasmine milk tea I sampled in the store first was a bit high in the milk to tea ratio, though I appreciated the chance to try this. The oolong tea flavor (can't recall if it was a citrus or passionfruit flavor) at the end was good--refreshing and light. The bubbles were a little on the sweeter side, with decent chewiness. I purchased a plum Americano first time and it was an innovative take on Asian flavors mixed with coffee. The fusion of traditional tart plum "soup" with coffee worked in an herbally way, kinda like a kombucha coffee. Based on this I think some of the other coffee items with citrus may be good to try here. The following comments are in the spirit of constructive feedback so I hope this will help you guys! I read online that the focus of the store is to provide fresh milk with their teas, specifically regular dairy milk. Though I think this is a stronger selling point probably in Asia, the interesting fact is that a fair number of people are lactose intolerant, (or will become so later in life). And with the trend away from cow's milk to more plant-based milks, I think it's a miss not to offer milk substitutes. The second point to work on is consistency in the menu, I'm not sure why the menu placed by the ordering counter contains a few different items than the menu on the screen on the wall, which is also slightly different from the menu shown in the digital kiosks (I didn't order from the kiosk but took a look at it). Maybe it's because this store is still tweaking the menu, though in this case it would be helpful to explain to customers. Yesterday I came by to redeem a coupon for a free drink, it was a generous offer and thanks for giving me another opportunity to try a drink! Choosing the Jasmine coconut tea with water chestnut bubbles, the flavor combo sounded interesting though didn't mesh that successfully in reality. The water chestnut bubbles provided a pop and little crunch which was unlike anything I've had before, with a light, almost imperceptible sweetness. Overall I felt the staff was kind--thanks for the rose with the drink and the panda takeaway bag during the initial boba crawl! read more
I first came to Master Panda as part of a Yelp boba crawl event where I was able to sample the jasmine oolong tea and the peach oolong tea. Out of the two, I preferred the peach oolong tea. I came back to get another one of their drinks that stood out from their menu. They had a seasonal special chestnut series and I got the chestnut rice milk mochi drink that was delicious. There was fresh chestnut puree around the cup and a big scoop of mochi that made the drink more fun. I also added their cheese foam on top and it was the perfect sweet and savory combination. I also got their taro rice milk mochi and it was just as yummy but less sweet (although you can adjust the sweetness level so if you prefer more sweet, I'd probably recommend higher for this one). Both the chestnut and taro purees tasted fresh! Make sure to mix well to get a sip of both the puree and mochi. Ordering is really easy whether you want to order from the cashier or from their kiosk right next to the cashier. Inside is well decorated and also fairly spacious with a few seats but when I came, there was no one here so it could be a nice place to enjoy your drink with some friends! This was a boba shop that I hadn't heard of before and I'm glad it's on my radar now cause their drinks were goood, particularly the mochi drinks which I haven't seen many places offer. Very cute Boba tea shop in LIC with an adorable gimmick of that chubby panda as it's selling point. Tea shop is spacious with very trendy art-deco seatings. Ordered the Green Milk tea with the Panda Marshmallow topping ($10). Had to wait quite a bit for my drink, as there was only one staff person and online orders were coming in as well. While the drink's aesthetic was super cute-the drink itself was just okay. There's a lot of boba tea shop competition in Queens (this is not the standout); price range for this drink is over-priced, and over hyped. read more
Fast service, cute interior! Expensive but tasty drinks. They're more along the lines of a luxury HEYTEA than an iMilky or Chun Yang. My strawberry drink was so rich and delicious, and it had rice mochi which was fragrant. I crave it frequently! read more
Pandas are one of my favorite animals so when I heard about this boba shop I knew I had to try it. Drinks were a bit expensive, and sadly I realized afterwards that a panda on top was not included but costed extra. The drink itself was nothing special, mainly just tasting like melon juice. Master Panda is a relatively new boba shop near Gantry Park. It's super cute inside with a wall of little stuffed pandas, some comfy chairs and panda things everywhere. You order on kiosks when you walk in. Was disappointed the deal on the sandwich board outside wasn't coming up when ordering. Went with a Treasure Rose Melon drink and added crystal boba and a panda marshmallow. Came out to relatively steep $11. This place was pretty packed on the Sunday afternoon we came so it took about five minutes for our drinks to be ready. They forgot to give me my panda marshmallow and I had to show them my receipt to prove I paid for it to get one. The cup my drink came in was super cute and the whole experience was made for social media. Sadly the drink itself was a 6/10. Not super flavorful, didn't like the boba, and definitely not worth $11. My girlfriend got the watermelon coconut milk and had similar sentiments. Overall a very adorable spot but the drinks themselves are lacking. read more

A prime example of a business that looks cute/good but lacks in everything else. On my first visit, I noticed a sign that was promoting a combo deal. Not only does that bao look unappetizing, but the price tag for what they're offering is ridiculous. As I walked inside, the place was empty, which is surprising on a late Friday afternoon. I ignored the ordering machines and places my order with one of the staff members. Their English was poor but I didn't care about that. They were making the effort to try. However, they did not know what "milk powder" or "lactaid" was. They asked their team member for further assistance. They also spoke limited English. At that point, I gave in and asked if they wanted me to speak Cantonese. I knew they spoke Mandarin but my Mandarin is limited and their eyes widened as they sighed with relief that we were able to communicate on some level. They took my order and I watched them make it. The first staff member began to make my order but messed up and poured it out. No worries, it happens. As I waited, I noticed a sign that showed my drink that I ordered at a much lower price. I waited for my drink to be ready before I asked them why it was $4 when I paid $8.99 per my receipt. They were unable to answer me and had to grab yet ANOTHER staff member. The manager (probably) was able to speak English much better and told me it was for Members-only pricing. I asked them why was it not dictated on the sign of how to be a member. They told me I can only be a member by ordering through the machine. In the end, they gave me a refund and I resubmitted my order on the ordering machine. I won't be going back. The staff was not well trained or well communicative, and they cannot make a simple black milk tea well. They obviously spent all their efforts in appearances and not in the quality of their business. read more
Second time here - last time I came in just half an hour before closing so most drinks were sold out. This time finally got to try this Pecans Crispy Treasure Tea! Love the texture of fresh fluffy cream with crispy pecans popping in from time to time. Tea base has a good catch of the fragrance of the tea, neither too light nor too strong. For those who have been tired of the sugar level in the States, try 0 sugar here - it's the real zero sugar! Spacious seating area in the shop and really nice staff here as well. So good to chill a bit in the heatwave recently. read more

Stopped by here while out on a walk on a whim. The menu is really unique, glad it's not another copy cat milk tea spot! Everything is really cute but their prices are very high. They gave me the wrong drink for one of them, I think maybe they misheard me. It was still good though! Overall it is worth a visit but I can't afford to go here regularly read more

This place was really cute and aesthetic, but the drinks aren't amazing. The price is a bit high for some of them, and can get up to $8. We had a grapefruit Americano (?), which consisted of coffee, grapefruit, and tonic. That one was okay, but not amazing. They had a promotion where that one was only a dollar, so we figured there was no harm in trying it. We also got a jasmine milk tea with boba, which didn't have a strong tea taste--more like just milk and some sugar with mediocre boba. Lastly, we had the matcha mochi drink, and this one was my fav by far, but it's also the one that costs about $8. I liked that it tasted like matcha (not just sugar and milk), and the rice mochi was an interesting addition that I ended up really liking. I think the rice mochi might not be for everyone, but if I were to go back, that's the drink I would get again. One thing that is nice about this place is that they have ordering machines so you can scroll through all of the drinks instead of flailing trying to figure out your order at the front (helpful, especially for introverts!). Anyway, overall, I think this place is pretty average, but if you live right nearby and can't be bothered to go to any of the other boba places in the vicinity, I think this is passable. That being said, I think I like Teazzi, Chun Yang, and HeyTea (a bit further) much better than Master Panda, and would rather make the trek out to one of those. I would come back for the matcha mochi drink again though, if I can get over the price tag. read more
