10/5 Stars! Best Upholstery Shop Around!…read more I found A1 Auto Upholstery thanks to Paulo at D&G Auto Repair in Watertown. He told me that A1 Upholstery and Vatche the owner were perfection! It's only about a mile away from D&G Auto Repair in Watertown. He was absolutely right! From the first phone call, Vatche (the owner) was incredibly helpful. He gave me clear directions to his shop, making it super easy to find. Once I arrived, he kindly offered me a ride to a local place while he worked on my car for a couple of hours. He dropped me off at the nearby library and picked me up 90 minutes later, talk about superb customer service! When I returned, I was thrilled to see my 2017 Subaru Outback wagon driver seat looking brand new. Vatche took the time to explain the repair process, showed me the part he removed, and even gave me a quick tour of his shop. A1 Auto Upholstery can truly handle anything from collectible luxury cars to boats and all kinds of leather work. The turnaround time was fast, the quality top-notch, and the price fair. Calling him at 2:00 PM on a Friday in August and getting the work done immediately felt like a miracle. Vatche is a rare find: professional, kind, and incredibly generous. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you need upholstery work done, don't look anywhere else!

My driver's seat in a Cadillac CTS V had somehow developed a major frame crack and became, well, a…read morerocking chair! Vatche, A1, and the crew to the rescue! In just four hours, they removed the seat from the car, disassembled it, isolated the broken frame weld, re-welded it, then reassembled and reinstalled the seat. Good to go! Now all is super solid and at a very reasonable price. Thank you, A1!

My cats destroyed the fabric, and the chair moved to the basement, where it remained until we moved to a new house about a month ago. I almost threw the chair out, but couldn't bear the thought of parting with it. So I contacted Vinny at Miro Upholstery, and he couldn't have been nicer. I went to the store to pick out a fabric, and Vinny suggested that I take some fabric books home. He gave me several books, my husband and I went through them and selected one. Miro picked up the chair and the fabric books, and today, about a month later, the chair was delivered. It is more beautiful than I could have imagined. New foam, new fabric, they touched up the wood - it's an antique chair that looks brand new. I'm completely thrilled. This was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend Miro Upholstery.

(NOTE: All the 1-2 star reviews seem to be about those higher $$$ non-self services.) Will probably become my new go-to carwash place, due to their superior payment machine: you can just tap your credit card, making it much snappier than the old slide-through one at the Somerville Carwash on Washington St where I usually go. More importantly, the timer display is highly visible: nice big 2" tall bright red numbers on a monitor that is slanted in a corner making it much more visible than a flat-against-the-wall display. I just cough up my $6 for 5 minutes, enough time to do the high pressure soap spray followed by high pressure rinse spray, to get the layer of icky road salt off, and away I go. And last but not least, the self service bays are closed at one end, which means you have to back out when leaving, but is quite a blessing on cold blustery days! I would not want to come here during the really busy daytime hours especially when people get out from work, but it does seem to be thoughtfully set up with traffic cones creating orderly lanes for the automated washes, hand washes, and self-service bays---far better than that godawful place in Arlington I tried once. Luckily I always go in the evening after my Y (just 4 minutes away) closes, so no danger of that ever happening.

It's the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, so everything is screwed up, and I really needed to buy a car but was having a really hard time. I had narrowed it down to a list of about 4-5 cars that I would want to test drive, but the pandemic made that impossible. I was going through this process alone. And the dealerships were being VERY annoying. Besides having wishy-washy reviews, they didn't email me back for days. I decided it would be best to just work with a dealership that had a stellar reputation. That way, I'd have the best chance of getting a good value on a used car, and work with people who were truly interested in earning my business. Waltham Auto Gallery showed up over and over during my search, with nothing but 5 star-reviews. I checked the website and saw a car that was on my shortlist of options - a 2017 Kia with only 20,000 miles on it. I called. Daphne picked up immediately. She was so friendly, and said it would be fine if I came by that day to test drive the car. When I arrived, she gave me time to just look it over myself and ask her questions. We were all distanced/masked, but she did offer for one of their employees (I'm so sorry I can't remember his name, he was awesome) to accompany me in the car, to help guide the drive and answer questions. I agreed, and he sat in the back with the windows down (we were masked.) I wanna emphasize: I knew nothing about buying a car until about 2 weeks before I bought one. Daphne was so patient with me and answered all my questions, even the dumbest ones. She repeated herself and clarified when I didn't understand. I felt comfortable negotiating with her (although the price was perfectly reasonable to begin with) and she was very forthcoming with details about the car. She was prompt in answering both phone calls and emails. She was transparent about the delays at the registry and how long it would take to register the car, but they took care of it, and when I went to pick up the car, they'd put on the plates and taken it to get inspected. I've been driving the car for a month now with absolutely no issues. Plus: my stepmother is one of the most insane clean-freaks I've ever known. When she sat in the car on the day I brought it home, she remarked that she thought it was a new car because it was so clean. (Now, it's covered in dog hair. Oops!) Lastly: when I was signing on the car, a woman and her husband came to look at a minivan. Daphne remembered them from 2 years ago when they'd bought a car, and the woman said they still had/loved that car and were back for another one. This shows 1. the connection that they have with their customers, and 2. that the car/service is good enough to bring back repeat customers. Waltham Auto Gallery is AWESOME. Go buy a car from them!

My experience with Lexus of Watertown was extremely disappointing…read more I contacted the dealership on a Monday regarding a 2019 Genesis G80 5.0 Ultimate and did not receive a response until Wednesday. When I finally heard back, I was told that management had decided to keep sales of both new and pre-owned vehicles "inside of Massachusetts" because they had "so little inventory." As a serious, qualified out-of-state buyer, I found this difficult to understand. A sale is a sale, and I have never encountered a dealership unwilling to sell a vehicle simply because the buyer lived in another state. After I shared my concerns with the Business Development Director, I received a polite response, but the explanation changed. Instead of limited inventory, I was told the policy was based on Massachusetts temporary tag restrictions and the complexities of out-of-state registrations, and that the dealership focuses on transactions within the New England area. I have spent years working in sales, and one of the fundamental principles of good business is treating every qualified customer as an opportunity. What disappointed me most was not that the dealership has policies, but that I received inconsistent explanations and was left feeling that my business simply wasn't worth pursuing. Dealerships certainly have the right to choose how they conduct business, but customers also deserve prompt communication, transparency, and consistent information. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I cannot recommend Lexus of Watertown based on the way this transaction was handled. This review is strong because it criticizes the experience rather than attacking individuals. If the dealership responds publicly, a factual review like this is much harder to dismiss because it sticks to what happened rather than making allegations that can't be verified.

These guys are the BEST! I drive older BMWs (over 7 years) and twice they have found and fixed that "elusive" leak that drives you crazy. They are honest and the price is very reasonable. Also did a great job fixing my sunroof. Get this- I couldn't pick up my car for a couple of days and it snowed in the meantime and he had even cleaned it off. Nice, trustworthy, great service, only wish there were more folks like him out there. read more

The picture you see here is literally right after I got the car & that wasn't even all that was left dirty!!! After speaking to family & friends about what to do, I called and spoke to Marcus. I told him I was unhappy with the detail & what suggestions he had. He proceed to tell me that he will give me a 50% refund and that I can come to pick up the check. I told him I would be able to tomorrow. The next day arrived & I let Marcus know I'm on my way. Once I arrived, he asked to look at the car then said he would not honor the 50% off since it's too much & will only honor a 20% refund or if I can let them clean the remainder of my car in the next 20mins. I told him absolutely not!!!! You had my car for over 8 hours and I got it back dirty. I went out of my way to drive there on my day off when I don't even live in Everett just for him to give me another story when I arrived. I told him after not wanting to go back n forth that I will just dispute the 50% charge with my bank. I'm telling you right now, this company took advantage of a woman of color! Do not do dealings with this company. You have been warned!!!!!! He may not have wrote me the check but I hope this turns away at least 1 customer as a loss of business for being unprofessional & not keeping your word!!!!

They made me a custom Grille, lifted my suspension as well as installed sport shocks to help absorb the bounce a truck has with Boston potholes. They armor lined the bed of my truck and went out of their way to find me the best deal on rims and tires. I honestly love this shop, The guys are very easy going and easy to joke with.
