Absolutely the BEST body shop I have ever encountered, and for anyone in the Greater Boston area who has auto damage, save yourself some time and CALL DELEO'S. NOW.
Last summer my son and I were in a horrific accident. During a violent storm an enormous tree was struck by lightning, broke in half, and crashed onto our car while we were driving! Of course, lucky to even be alive, our SUV was considered by most who saw it to be a total wreck. The damage was extensive and we weren't hopeful, but I really wanted the car to be repairable. It's a 2005 Honda Pilot - older but reliable - and the master plan was to keep it for my kids to drive. If totaled, we never would have gotten enough insurance money to buy an equivalent replacement!
Well, thanks to a superb insurance company (USAA), a compassionate adjustor, and Deleo's, they decided to give it a go. The repairs took a while because this was a rather big deal, but if you saw my car today, you'd have no idea it had been crushed. (Except for the poor GPS screen scratched to oblivion from all the shattered glass). A superb job and I'm still shaking my head in amazement.
Deleo's is a family-owned business and they take tremendous pride in their work. The five-star reviews say it all! Denise and her brother Leo are so kind and knowledgeable, and they take all the time necessary to explain what needs to be done and why. They even removed some dings that may not have been caused by the tree. We weren't positive, but they went the extra mile. When I picked up the car, it was pristene and looked even better than before!
One comment: once I had decided that Deleo's was THE place, I did have to wait a couple of weeks before they could begin the work. Their shop has become so popular that there's often a queue (my father used to tell me this was the sign of a good body shop - watch out for the ones that can take your car immediately!). Well, I was willing to be patient and simply rented a car for the extra time. The good news is that Deleo's was happy to store my vehicle until the work began. Worth every single day and every single penny.
Oh, and the shop is in a cool section of Cambridge, right next door to Tom & Ray's (Click & Clack's) "Good News Garage." Apparently one of the Car Talk guys still hangs out over there, but I never got a sighting :-(
Denise, your handwritten thank-you note after a job well done was a lovely touch, but please know that our family is still thanking YOU !!!!!! read more
