Jason & Mike both do fantastic work at very reasonable prices and top it all off with being really nice guys. I started coming here just to drop off my rent checks because their father Ron was my landlord but I'd always end up staying for a bit to chat with whoever was around. It's not often that you have a great relationship with both your landlord and your mechanic but I can't speak highly enough about all 3 of these guys. I've now been bringing my and my friend's/family's cars there for 5 years and they've provided excellent service on everything from standard maintenance to working with my insurance on substantial body work. There is nowhere better to get mechanic and auto body work done. Not only are Jason and Mike the nicest guys in the world to work with, they are excellent at what they do. I've been going here for years and I've moved about 30 minutes away and still go there. It's totally worth it to me and I'll be a customer as long as I can! Especially as a young woman, you are always told you need to be careful or you can get taken advantage of while getting work done on your car. I can say I trust them completely and have never met more honest, transparent, hardworking guys. I feel so comfortable working with them. After shopping around with various auto repair shops in the Allston/Brighton area he was the only person who I felt comfortable with in the repair process and quoted me at a reasonable price. The 5 stars are legitimate. Everyone here is super personable. Great price, great work. Brought my GTI in with a scratched bumper and dented fender. All other shops I got quotes from wanted to fully replace both but I only wanted to get it fixed up. Jason quoted me 1/4 of what it would have cost me to replace both and the work turned out phenomenal. They had my car a few days longer than they originally guessed so they knocked $100 off the total. Detailed my car for me after all was said and done too. I did notice one spot they forgot to buff out so Jason told me to "bring the car by with a coffee and we'll fix it while you're drinking it." If I don't modify this review then the work held up which I expect it will. Edit: A year later, I am still happy with the work for the price I paid. It has held up well. If you shine a bright light on the area up close you can see that the clearcoat is not perfectly accurate to the rest of the car, but aesthetically it is a non-issue in a day-to-day sense. I recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality work for the price. Maybe not the best place for folks who are perfectionists about their cars though. read more

NBA is by far the best auto shop in the Boston area. Mike is a real great, honest mechanic. Their VERY reasonably priced, quick and honest which is hard to find nowadays. I've brought my car there 3-4 times in the past few months and had it back the next day. The last time, I had a starter put in and wasn't able to to pay until he following week. Mike said don't worry about it, being that it was new years weekend and he understood I needed my car. HE TOLD ME CALL NEXT WEEK AND TAKE CARE OF THE $ THEN! Talk about trust! If a mechanic trust me to let me take my fixed car without forking over $200, north beacon auto has My business for life. They do all auto work and also can get stickers done too. wow..... This auto shop deserves all the stars in the world........ Someone dented my car pretty badly on the front side and I had been shopping around for a quote... most places said I need to replace the whole thing so I got quotes minimum $800 but Jason said that he could fix the dent and do a paint job over it for a fraction of the price. He was upfront that it wasn't going to be perfect like replacing the part, but it looks great! I'm happy that he was up front about it. Also, I'm totally sold on their key drop box. It's really convenient to drop off the car at my convenience and pick it up at my convenience as well. What I was really surprised about was they were okay with me making a payment over the phone the next day after I picked up my car. I appreciate the kindness and trust that this small business has, and they really deserve all the positive publicity they can get! read more

Jason and his brother are fantastic. They try hard to be fair and tell you as it. I had a small fender bender in the rear corner of my Lexus. The dent was easy and straightforward but the detection system malfunctioned. Rather than scrap the wireless antenna and electronic box under the bumper as the dealer suggested. Jason tried to realign the antenna before buying a new one for $1,500. The realignment worked and he saved me the cost of a new one. These guys are great! The do quality work and are very fair and truly have the customer's interest in mind. Jason is the best. read more

Jason did a wonderful job on my car. I was a victim of a hit and run incident which damaged the back bumper of my car. Most of the places that I've got quotations from said that the bumper needs to be replaced which would cost me 2K for OEM or 1K for an aftermarket part. However, after going to Jason, I realized that the other body shops were just trying to rip me off. He was able to restore the original shape of the bumper on my car without needing to replace it. He also repaired the heavily dented rocker panels under the doors and restored my car to a pristine condition. Hadn't I gone to Jason's for this rocker panel repair, I'm sure I could have spent 5X times of his charge at other places. read more

I'm changing my review because the body work that I received here was not as good as I had originally though. I'm a young woman who knows nothing about cars, so when got my repair I didn't look too close and was happy with the quick turnaround. Over the past few months however, it's been pointed out to me by multiple people that the repair wasn't so great, and there were a handful of spots that show sloppy work (paint color doesn't have the same shine, lines don't match up, spots where the welding (?) melty-bits are really noticeable. They also didn't wash off the white powder smudges, which I assumed would come off in the rain but needed an actual carwash to remove. I've had two people glance at my car and say "ah, see you've had some body work done...". I feel bad for being the first imperfect review for this place- on the bright side it was very affordable and reasonably fast. read more

I woke up to a flat tire. Called them up, asked if I could bring the tire in for repair, "suuuure, bring it on ovah!". Dropped the tire, they said call back in an hour. Called back, "All set, swing by whenevah!" Went back, the guy loaded the tire back into my car (I have a donut on), and when I asked to settle up - "All set. Have a great day!" I've never had a better car care experience. I was sideswiped by a hit-and-run driver and N. Beacon was recommended to me by the guys at Mackenzie Motors (also awesome). Because it was a hit-and-run I had to pay the deductible. Anyway, I brought the car over and explained the situation and they asked when I'd need the car back. I said sooner rather than later since I was taking the bus instead of renting a car (see: bank account bled dry by deductible). Mike said he'd do it quickly so I wouldn't have to walk/ride multiple buses all week with my infant daughter. Two days later the work was done AND FOR LESS MONEY THAN HE ORIGINALLY QUOTED. I'm still amazed by the level of workmanship and customer service. These guys are the best! read more

These guys are the best--hands down! The experience that I had with Jason at North Beacon Auto Body was as good an auto body repair experience as I've had anywhere at any time. This awful winter had seen my car damaged through two hit-and-run accidents (meaning paying for the damage out of pocket). Jason was able to obtain a used mirror for one of the needed repairs, at no small savings to me. The prices were more than reasonable and fair. These guys are great. Came initially to get body work done after my car was hit. We were doing the repair out of pocket and he gave me the lowest quote by several hundred dollars. He was able to find a few lightly used parts and did a beautiful job on the car. I went back before moving across the country to have the mechanic take a look at the entire car to make sure nothing stuck out. He looked it over and with nothing wrong, gave me the car back at no cost at all and told me to have a safe trip. I would recommend these guys to anyone!!! read more

I can't speak more highly for these guys. Jason was tremendously accommodating with my schedule and the work I needed done. Someone hit and run my lease ( a month into the lease) while I was away and I went to a number of shops looking for quotes on repair. Everyone quoted me $1.5-2k to replace lights and panels and do extra work. Jason pointed out that I'm still street parking the car and that at 2 months into my 36 month lease, this is bound to happen again and that since there's nothing mechanically wrong, if I don't love the look of the damage, to just make it aesthetically pleasing now and deal with repairing it for lease return when that time is closer. For an EXTREMELY reasonable price Jason and his team cleaned up the damage without replacing any parts and it looks literally good as new. In addition, they so kindly cleaned the interior of my car up and had it feeling brand new. My trust and faith is in them for forever now and I won't be going anywhere else to get work done going forward. Thank you guys read more

I have been going to North Beacon Auto for the past 15 years, and they consistently make my life easier and better. I would give them ten stars if possible. Not only did they fix everything to look better than brand new, but they let me keep my car there for over a week longer as I was on vacation and could not pick it up. They called me to let me know I also needed a stick and, despite not having a machine, they arranged for a sticker before I got back. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Bought a used minivan for a cross-country road trip and had to get a few things done before leaving. These guys got everything done no problem (timing belt, water pump, brakes, new tires), even though I didn't leave them much time to do it before I left. Their prices are more than fair, so much so that I had to double check with them that they remembered to include everything. Mike is the one who worked on my car, and he was super responsive every time I called w any questions, was really flexible with my schedule, and was always very pleasant to talk to. Definitely felt like he had my best interests at heart, instead of other places that feel like they are just trying to squeeze whatever money out of you they can. I was referred to Jason at NB Auto Body by a long time customer who had five fancy cars and three adult children who had a knack for bumping them up. I couldn't have been happier with my first visit (guy had backed into my car - t-bone). I have now had various dings and dents repaired by Jason - some minor and some extensive. He always gives me a fair price and superior service. AND my car always looks better than it did when I drove it in. I think my family has now used him 5 times. There are few car repair folks out there who are as honest and trustworthy as Jason, e.g., I scraped/dented the side of my brand-new CRV. He could have told me he had to replace the whole back panel and repaint it but he didn't he was able to pull out the dent and buff up the paint so it looked brand new - saving me a ton of $$. I think he honestly loves the work and is not in it for a quick buck. He knows the whole insurance game too and gives good solid advice. Left the car there, they said they'd call in an hour or so. 25 minutes later my phone rang and my total was less than the estimate. Since when does that happen ?!?! Wow, Bad. I'm not sure if all the reviews are friends or not. But the work that was done to my vehicle was awful. Misalign body panels, paint did match, parts not installed correctly, more scratches on it then when I dropped it off, it was returned filthy,and they had it for a month and a half.
