Very clean and peaceful, they even gave me a quick tour of the infrared sauna which I'm interested in trying out in the future. Had some peppermint tea as well! I had a 90 minute relaxation massage with Kieran and wow, relaxation was achieved! I definitely was so relaxed i fell asleep and caught myself snoring a couple of times (LOL). I felt a bit embarrassed but both Kieran and Amber assured me it was okay and it's a compliment to the massage therapist knowing they are doing their job in helping their customers feel relaxed :) Getting a massage has been long overdue and I'm so glad I found this place!I can't wait to come back!

This is a repost of a review that I wrote last year, with a few edits for updates. The reason for…read morethe repost is that this business has recently changed its name, so I wanted to help by leaving my review under the new business name: I received 4 massages from Joe last year (2021). I felt comfortable around him right away, which helped me to relax. One thing that I definitely noticed is that there was very little chit chat during the first massage. Just a little brief chit chat here and there. I appreciated that not only because Joe wasn't too chatty (he and I did chat a little bit here and there, though, which was nice), but because I have received massage from over 70 massage therapists in the Seattle area over the past 20 years, and there are very few therapists that I feel comfortable enough with during the FIRST session to not feel at all compelled to chat with the therapist quite a bit during my massage. I usually want to know who is massaging me! I get curious about the person!! Haha. I can honestly say I've never received massages quite like the massages that I received from Joe. I enjoyed some interesting stretches, some neck work that felt very needed, and some great mid-to-low-back bodywork. Part of my Deep Lomi Style massage was done with me positioned side-lying - my favorite position in which to receive massage. I had checked in advance with Joe via e-mail about his safety procedures, and they're sound. He was able to leave the window open (at my request) during my massages, and he had an air purifier going also. He wore a mask for the entire duration of the intakes, the massages, and the check-outs. The music was soft, not too loud or intrusive, and it provided a lovely background noise. The lighting was perfect for me, I prefer the lighting to be slightly darker in the massage room since it's more relaxing for me that way. Joe checked in about the level of pressure, and he was very open and responsive to my feedback - which he strongly encouraged me to give - about level of pressure, position of my body and head on the table, preference for bolstering, any areas to avoid or go lightly on, type of oil used, and anything else that made the massage experience truly special. I felt that Joe went above and beyond to make sure that I felt cared for and attended to. Usually when I review a massage therapist here on yelp, I explain that I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2016 - however, I have never practiced massage professionally, since my life ended up going in a different direction at that time. So, I know a bit more about massage therapy than someone who doesn't have this particular educational background. I enjoyed my massages with Massage Reimagined Magnolia, I would receive massage from Joe again, and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who wants a truly unique and special massage experience.

After the massages I felt very relaxed, my muscles felt stretched out, and I had an overall feeling of wellbeing. The Magnolia facility is very nicely laid out. The massage room is spacious and comfortable. The overall setting of the facility is very calming. I had been getting massages from a private practitioner for about 10 years. Unfortunately she moved so I've been looking for a really quality massage. I think I've found the therapist and facility.

In the middle of downtown Seattle, I felt I was transported to a very relaxing place. Sorry, I am not great at metaphor. The people working there were very welcoming and friendly. They have many stations for manicures, pedicures, massages, and foot reflexology. When I saw their list of prices and I was surprised by how reasonable they were for their location. As a bigger person who has been walking on the treadmill and working out Orange Theory up to 5 times a week, my feet have been killing me, so I got a foot reflexology massage. To say my feet feel better than they have since I can remember has been an understatement. I plan on going back to Mulan Spa for more feet massages, and to make it part of my regular health routine. This place is totally worth it.

I prefer massages here. It feels like I'm in Vancouver. Granted there's still some concrete wall…read moreand industrial ceiling, but it's far better than massage businesses in international district or shoreline/lynnwood. It's super nice and quiet. Comfortable beds, blankets. Great pressure. For the head spa, I think it's not bad really. Compared to other Seattle head spas, it's pretty good. If I could suggest an improvement to match the quality abroad, I'd say to do the acupressure when the hair is wet. When it's dry, the therapeutic effect is not as much. And if possible, less use of hair brushes for head massage. Otherwise, I'd come back definitely for massage. Head spas sure but I'm indifferent. I hope the place survives because downtown/belltown could definitely benefit from this.

Tried Aescape and this was such a cool, futuristic massage experience! ‍…read more Instead of a traditional massage therapist, the session is done by robotic arms. It starts with a body scan, then you can customize the massage on the touchscreen, including which areas you want extra focus on--upper back & shoulders, lower back, hips & glutes, hamstrings, calves, etc. I loved being able to control everything myself. The room felt very private, clean, and modern. They provide special fitted apparel, and the setup instructions were super straightforward. Once the massage starts, you can adjust the pressure and focus areas, which makes the experience surprisingly personalized. It definitely feels different from a traditional hands-on massage, but that's also what makes it fun. No small talk, completely private, customizable, and very tech-forward.

The problem for me is when I get massages, the therapist's have a tendency to want to talk when they find out that I'm a massage therapist myself. This was perfect because it was only me and no conversation from the outside, so I was super relaxed throughout the whole session. It reminded me of getting a chair massage from a human, but lying down for it. I guess because you're fully clothed and only certain body parts can be addressed. To my surprise, it pinpointed trigger points in between my shoulder blades and this was probably one of the best glute & hamstring massages I've ever had!! No joke, I've been a Massage therapist for 20 years and no one ever tackles the glutes and works on them long enough. The fact that you can control the pressure just by touching the screen was incredible! My experience checking in at the hotel desk was easy and pleasant. I have to mention how great they were considering how busy things were at the time with hotel guests checking in and out. I was escorted to the room and given a quick tutorial. I appreciated that the room was cool and I felt comfortable temperature wise throughout the session. The garments felt comfortable, but maybe have a pair of socks with you so your feet don't get cold. I'm planning to make this my monthly deep tissue appointment that I so desperately need, because it targeted all the tight spots and I left there feeling happy and relaxed. I'll still be going to my human MT's as well for whole body massage, but love this concept and can't wait to go back!
