I've been to different massage places but this was the most unusual experience. Most of the time the massage was dry rubbing or constant rubbing me. It was also pulsating massage instead of a nice subtle pressure. I've done deep tissue and swedish at multiple places so I thought this was odd. Additionally, when they massaged my neck, I felt like they were pressing down on my carotid artery. Overall, I felt like the person doing my massage wasn't trained well or it was overall very odd. I disliked the constant repetitive rubbing over my shoulders. There was no compression and it just felt like they were just rubbing to make me feel like this was deep. There was no variation in technique at all. I was really disappointed by my experience.

I then sat for another 5 mins in the lobby waiting for the masseuse to come out. The front desk person rushed in trying to find my masseuse, who then came out and looked at me confused. Then.... HE REACHED INTO MY PURSE?? and tried to grab an envelope I had just gotten from a bank. I was alarmed and shocked and said "this is mine." The front desk girl saw all of this happening just in time as she came out and said "Dennis!" I was, at this point, confused and uncomfortable but didn't want to forego the deposit I had paid for my massage already. So, I went along with it and followed Dennis (masseuse) in. All in all, I got a 45-min massage and had a man I had never met try to reach into my purse. The massage was OK. I came out and asked the front desk girl why my masseuse had reached into my personal purse and she remarked "yea that was crazy, I can't believe I saw that too. I'll talk to him and management." I still never received any communications as to why this establishments masseuse reached into my purse at the lobby. Each visit has been a very pleasant occasion, and I will return as a regular customer. I have lower back issues that have been a problem for years, and my preference is for deep muscle work to relieve tightness. Remarkably, the massage therapist was able to trigger-point my tension areas and relieve pressure in my hips, mid-back and lower back. I also enjoy back walking to delve deeper and really target the problem spots. The session was blended with firm pressure as well as a very relaxing, Swedish-style stress relief finish. I enjoy the environment because it is quiet and has a pleasant and inviting scent. The new team is warm, friendly, and very customer-focused.
