You pay before the service and after YOU WILL BE HARASSED for a bigger tip, they might take your card and refuse to give it back (they did to us) unless You tip more. 4. This is the first review I've written in a very long time, I had to write this one. As a veteran with back issues, the VA gave me the option for outside Acupuncture and acupressure treatment close to my home in San Carlos. I have to thank them publicly, they have gone above and beyond my expectations, with Dr. James and Acupuncture and Iris with the acupressure back massage that is so affective and firm enough that I have been able to move more fluidly with much less pain, allowing me to walk further and even dance without the level of pain I had before. Iris is amazing, with very strong fingers and technique that is rarely matched. I highly recommend giving them a try, they are very accommodating and nice people! I actually came to Oasis since Gressa (who does threading) used to be there. Gressa has since moved to another location a few blocks down (still on Laurel). I saw their "grand opening special" of $60 for a 70 min massage and thought, sure why not? I cannot remember the name of the woman who did the massage but it was disappointing. When I walked in for my appointment, she asked "only you? I thought it was for a couple - you and your husband." (huh? I never even mentioned my husband when I made an appointment). She didn't even ask what kind of massage I wanted. And I assumed she would give me a Swedish massage. Their business card did not mention Thai massage at all! And I didn't speak up because I was so worn out that day (actually, the entire week was an exhausting one) and I just wanted to relax. Instead, I got pulled and twisted and was given a Thai massage - WHICH I DIDN'T WANT (at 7pm, who wants to be pulled like taffy?!) At one point, I did tell her she's stretching too much, it actually hurts. Not once did she ask if the pressure was ok, or if she was stretching me too much. As I was leaving, the woman said, "Please come back and try Lucy - she will give you different style of massage." Ummmm... Just a word of advice to anyone who wants to take advantage of their grand opening deal: Make sure to be *very clear* what kind of massage you want and during the massage, speak up if the pressure is too much! I've had a Thai massage before (at Sukothai Wellness on Walnut St) and they did a much better job. read more

I've been to this location twice now (actually just a couple days apart, yes it was that good What a great experience and massage each time! I don't think I can say enough nice things about the place, but I will certainly try. I don't leave reviews much, if ever, but this is necessary due to how wonderful it has been. The spa is very clean/neat, the prices are right, rooms are private, overall very quiet/calming/relaxing place, and the mood is just right. I had gotten nervous to try out new/different places before due to some miscommunication issues I've had at other spots, but I'm extremely glad I was able to meet/work with one of the owners, Peggy. She has been nothing short of extraordinary during my 2 visits so far, and I must say she has given 2, yes 2, of the best massages I've ever had (hence my quick return to the place). I find it very hard to relax sometimes, but she has made this easy very quickly. Always extremely attentive, constantly ensuring you're having a great experience. Much unlike anywhere else I have been before. I play a lot of sports and fitness games, so I'm always rather sore. Additionally, I have a horrible place under my shoulder blade which needs some serious work, and within a few days, I'm already feeling the pain begin to subside some. Nothing fancy, but very clean and nicely appointed including the most comfortable massage tables you are ever likely to experience. Tracy, my technician, immediately established a rapport which continued to increase as the session unfolded. Peggy is AMAZING! For over six weeks during this pandemic, I walked with a limp thinking I needed a hip transplant. My hip pain was excruciating. I had trouble climbing stairs. Decided to try a massage at Oasis. Peggy said it was coming from a stiff muscle in my back, not my hip. In my mind I doubted her but let her do what she needed to do. Nobody in my family could believe it when I walked out of there completely pain free. It was my first time ever stepping foot in this place, only to be met by a woman who mumbled something inaudible to me. I told her that I just wanted to buy a gift certificate. She mumbled again and then said that she didn't have time or use. Didn't have time to gain a new customer and get money? How stupid and in covid times, why would a business turn down money? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I bought this microdemabration groupon on valentine's day as a gift for my girlfriend. We at least called them 6 times to make an appointment, no response at all. We even left 2 or 3 voice mail messages and they never call us back. Recently we were close by and decided to go to this place in person, we enter the place and there was a lady doing a manicure to a customer, she did not even say hi, like if she didn't care we were there. We decided to take a seat and grab a magazine while we waited. We literally sat there for 15 min and no one great us or ask us to wait, nothing!!! My patience is huge, but I was basically giving them a second chance and it didn't work out. My girlfriend and I decided to just leave. I'm glad the Groupon team is accessible and they gave me my money back immediately. I suggest you really pay attention to customer service. In my two appointments, Tracy has done my body work and and been outstanding! As a reference point, I have had numerous sports injuries throughout my lifetime and have had quite a bit of various types of body work ranging from massage, PT, Chiropractic, etc. Tracy provides an excellent deep tissue, Sports and Swedish type massage but in a highly intuitive manner. I scheduled a last minute facial with Mones who was super nice and accommodating to my request. I've been around a lot of dust and cleaner lately so I've been breaking out, she suggested a deep pore cleansing facial which did just the job. She did a VERY good job with the facial, she was very thorough and spent 80 minutes on my facial. My only gripe is where's the paraffin?? I love that stuff and was looking forward to it. Mones is honest, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. She is also very warm and welcoming! I particularly like that Mones puts an emphasis on using green and natural products, but not just as a gimmick. She was using natural products before it was fashionable. She doesn't push her products, which I appreciate, since there is nothing worse than being bombarded with products after a relaxing treatment.
