I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this Massage Envy location. I recently transferred one of my membership credits to my pregnant sister, and I was only informed after the transfer that she could not use it because she is in her first trimester. This is something that should have been communicated before completing the transfer. When I asked for clarification, Melissa, the manager, was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, she was dismissive and offered no solution. I also asked if I could speak with corporate, and she told me that the call would "always come back to her," implying that she is the only person in charge and there is no higher support, which was extremely concerning and unhelpful. Because of this experience, I decided I wanted to cancel my membership. However, I was told I'm locked into a one-year contract, even though the situation resulted from their lack of clear communication. I guess I'm stuck here for a year. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for over 2 years and usually go to another location but decided to make an appointment at this one off Riverside Central to check it out. I am giving 3 stars specifically due to the skilled staff. If it wasn't for them being good, I would probably give it a 2 due to the carpets grossing me out. Let me understand this correctly. An individual pays $140 for a 1-hour massage from a massage therapist straight out of massage school when you get a better quality massage from "those other places." Better yet, a person pays $80/ mo for a "subscription" to be a member only to realize they charge you another $70 per massage. So, a "member" pays more than a non-member for just one massage. Remember that you pay for a subscription, and your appointments are not guaranteed. So what are you paying for? Worse yet, although the kid massaging seemed kind, I told him I have tension in my upper back, traps, and neck... what's the one trouble spot they didn't work on for an hour??? The traps. Any lifter, office worker, or parent knows this pain in the neck and how wonderful it feels when you get relief following a good massage. I think people who have deep pockets can afford this place. For a couples massage, we paid more than $300!!!! Which included a 20% tip for the amateur massage therapists because they tried, and we're not total a-holes. We could have easily paid under $200 from other "non-professional" massage therapists. And we will next time. This place will never see our business again. Overpriced, overrated, and underperformed. Cancelling my membership. I've been a member with massage envy for probably 10 years and I'm sad to go but what occurred over this last week was the final straw. There were numerous times that I had my massage cancelled by this location on extremely short notice, the last cancellation happened 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time... I had already been on my way to my appointment when I received a text letting me know my massage had been cancelled. I let it go and didn't let it get to me. Fast forward to my scheduled appointment last week where I needed to cancel because my dad passed away. Sadly my dad decided to die the same day as my appointment so the response I received from the office was that I would be liable for a 50% service fee. While I understand that this is their policy, I find it extremely ironic that Massage Envy can inconvenience their customers without any sort of reparations but a customer needs to cancel an appointment same day because of an emergency and forced to pay a service charge. In addition to what I mentioned above, the service charge could have been handled by using the accumulated credits on my account, instead this location decided to charge my card $105. read more

My first time going!! I had an appointment with Vanessa and it was a prenatal massage. The entire time she made me feel comfortable and made sure I was okay. He's great if you just want to RELAX!!! But that's not what I paid for. I went to massage envy because I've been very stressed and needed some tension relief because I also get migraines WHICH I SPOKE TO THE CONSULT PERSON ABOUT...but I left even more stressed and feeling like they took from me. I won't be going back. My appointment was from 4-5pm today. I was literally on the freeway by 502. I got dressed, paid and was on the freeway BY 502!!! . I received a massage at Massage Envy Central, located at 3639 Riverside Plaza Dr., Suite 506 and was injured by a massage therapist who stretched my neck during a massage treatment and strained the ligaments in my neck. I called to speak to the manager about my service and she refused to take my call directing me back the representative who answered the phone. I told the representative that I preferred to speak with the manager, and she replied in a condescending tone, "Well she's just going to have to call you on her time". The manger never called, so I called back a little later and spoke to Zack who informed me that the manager "just left for the day". Two days have passed, and the manager still has not called me back. Both representatives refused to provide me the manager's name, but I was informed that there is only one manager. I also requested to speak with the general manager and was denied the name and phone number of the general manager. Massage Envy is a franchise so there is no oversight by a corporate office, therefore, there is no one holding the managers of Massage Envy Franchises accountable. This is why the manager was snippy and refused my phone call...Because there is no accountability. This leaves me no choice but to seek legal assistance in this matter since I cannot get a phone call back from the manager. I had to spend my evening in the emergency room and am still in pain, having to ice my neck, take muscle relaxers and lidocaine patches so that I can sleep and work. I simply wanted to inform the manager of what occurred so that they could protect other people from experiencing this pain, request they fix the injuries their staff member inflicted on my neck and request a refund for this service, but the manager refused to accept my phone call, the representative gave me "attitude" and they showed me they do not care about their customers. Very disgusting behavior from a manager and now I have to escalate this matter to a higher court. Be careful out there people getting massages at Massage Envy. Some of the massage therapists really know what they are doing while others do not and can hurt you. I specifically booked with an individual that had firm pressure, upgraded to their CBD product and sprang for the full hour. To my disappointment, the therapist spend more time adjusting the bed up and down than they actually did massaging me. The pressure was medium at best and the whole experience was definitely mediocre. I've had better experiences at little hole in the wall Asian ran massage parlors than I did at Massage envy.
