My whole experience never fails. I don't think I could ever try a new massage spa. They are so easy to work with and what is a bonus is that they have a lot of Groupons to use. I've only ever done couples massage but they're always very thorough. My favorite one I've had has been the "Swedish and Relax Body Massage with Hot Stones and Back Scrub". 50 minutes is the perfect amount but they have many different types. Went here for a 50 minute massage after receiving a Groupon gift card from a family member. The ladies were nice and was seen immediately after arriving. I was taken to one of the first rooms closest to their paying station. I could hear customers and employees talking through out my massage. I would recommend them to soundproof their rooms. It's not too relaxing when you hear others coming in and out. The massage seemed okay but as soon as I left I felt pain on the right side of my neck. It felt really strange. I have been icing and using heat compression for two days. I don't know if it's a nerve pinch or a muscle strain. Now I'm worry that I will have to visit a Dr to make sure I have not been seriously injured. I have had many other massages before and this has never happened to me. Please beware. read more

Don't instigate on customers giving you tips. You'll receive tips if the customer wants to, not because you peer pressured them. Got peer pressured by both lady's to tip from me and my boyfriend after we already used a groupon and paid ahead. I wanted to be nice so I tipped $2 and the lady laughed saying wow only $2. She hits all the right points. I was able to relax. The place was pretty clean. I had no complaints with regards to that. Amazing massage! I loved that at check-in they give you an iPad with a body illustration, so you can show exactly where you want them to focus and choose the massage intensity. I chose deep tissue since I really needed it, especially on my shoulders. My massage therapist, Susana, was incredible, she truly delivered a real deep tissue massage. Me and my friend went in to get a massage after a rigorous study session. The massage was very nice, no complaints there. But at the end all three ladies stoped us when we were halfway out the door and practically forced us to tip. Keep in mind the massage was $53 for 50 minutes EACH. At first they thought we said $15 total for tip and they Laughed and talked to themselves in a different language. But when we explained we said $50 total aka $25 tip each they completely switched up and became grateful. The tipping situation made us both feel very off about the whole experience . Called in the morning at 11 am where I made an appointment for 1 pm. Came at exactly 1 pm where I was told to sit and wait. No one greeted me until 1:25 and told me 15-20 minutes. Another two women were there with 1:30 appointments. Paid at 1:45 pm $75 for a 75 min massage with aromatherapy, hot stones, and back scrub per their Groupon plus a $2 card fee (they should only be charging this fee to credit card not debit) but overall was charged $77. The two women who had an appointment after me got in first. I texted my husband when I got in at exactly 2 pm. My massage was over at 3:03 pm. I was obviously given only a 60 minute massage and not the 75 minutes. When asking if I could put the difference of the overcharge as a tip to my massager they said they couldn't do that, they offered an extra 15 minutes the next time I go. Obviously will not be going again. Left a tip for the massager but will be disputing the charge with my bank once done processing, not the full amount since they did provide a service but the difference in the time of service they lacked. I waited an hour, got charged a debit fee, then got shorted my service time, not gonna come back. They obviously overbooked. People were being called during my one hour wait for their appointments to be moved to 3 pm or later, when I left there was 4 people waiting WITH appointments. Had an appointment for 4 people. Took us in at 4:10 and the massage was over at 4:49. She didn't get started until 4:15 It was supposed to be 50 minutes. They made too many appointments people kept showing up so the entire massage was rushed. My daughter had the lady doing the register and every time someone came in she would leave my daughter to go check someone in or out. I've enjoyed this place at least 3-4 times before and the girls there knew what they were doing and relieved all pain with soft , capable hands ......So I went today with same expectations The massage started with one masseuse and 10 minutes into the massage the receptionist comes in and says "I will take care of you she has to go" I was a bit annoyed but I was in so much pain and paid already so I said ok. It was mostly uncomfortable she didn't seem to know how to relax the muscles or where the muscles were?? Also her hands were rough and nails were long so it was very unpleasant experience . I was very disappointed to say the least and then on my out she had the audacity to ask for a tip??! Had a couples massage appointment for 6pm. Got there 10 minutes early to check in. 6pm came and I thought they would take us back but they didn't. I gave it another 10 minutes before I said something. When I asked the lady at the front when she was going to take us back she said soon but no time was mentioned. When I asked her if there were other masseuses available she started to stutter and become nervous. There were other masseuses available in the back room. But didn't even bother to tell them to take care of us. The service was horrible. Don't say you have a 6pm available and not take them back per the set appointment time. Poor management and scheduling. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not come to this place. They also make you pay before your massage starts. read more

I wouldn't have gone except it was a recommendation- I was looking for a spa in the area and I'm not familiar with this city so I went basically site unseen. It was part of a birthday celebration for someone who lives in the area and we had a whole day planned. We started here. When I parked I almost canceled. It looks pretty sketchy. We went in and it wasn't a typical "day spa". The receptionist was a little gruff and the place was definitely iffy but we all agreed we'd chalk it up to an adventure. We had to use the restroom before our treatments but were informed that their bathroom wasn't working. We had to find a business that would let us all use the restroom- luckily the restaurant next door was accommodating. Apparently we were not clear when we made the reservation but two of us ended up with a couples massage. That was interesting. Funny enough, it worked out ok. If the place was tidied up and they used nicer towels ( mine felt like paper) they might elevate themselves to a semi "day spa" but really, it's just an old school " massage parlor " no steam room, sauna or pampering - you know the things that make a day spa a " day spa" ?? This used to be Pure Bliss before 2020 and now Sunshine Day Spa (they still have the pure Bliss Logo inside). It was the "go to" place for massage. But I will no longer return. 1. The staff talks over the wall in Mandarin while you are getting a massage. If you get a couples massage both masseuse will talk to one another. Not a good place to relax and not cool. 2. The staff attire is not professional. Both our masseuse were dressed as though they were someone auntie and woke up from bed. 3. I came here 0/10 pain and now have pain to my neck 11/10. 4. My Swedish massage felt as though I was in a Muy Thai competition. The gal kept using her sharp elbow between the bones of my neck and the bottom of my calf's. I've asked her numerous times to go easy on the pressure.... I'm not sure she got the memo but it might have been a language barrier. I know how a Swedish massage feels and her technique was very off. She definitely needs more training. After 8 years, I've decided to move on to another massage. We tipped generously in the end and the ladies at the front desk rudely asked my husband for more. Multiple times they asked for more tip. She is excellent, especially for deep knots; a massage with incredible technique and strength. I'm a picky person and every time I come, I leave feeling amazing! Customer service is great! There's a lot that can improve at Sunshine Day Spa. I will first start off with the customer service. I do not know exactly what the woman's name was working on Dec 14th at 11:30am but she was absolutely horrible. I made an appointment for someone's birthday and was very excited to take her due to the good reviews as well. I purchased a Groupon for the Swedish Spa. We go in and she says "we're too busy". There was NO ONE inside that spa. She even has my appointment written down on her notepad. So why is that all of a sudden you're busy? I was so confused onto why they confirmed my appointment if they were going to be too "busy". She kept telling me "no no no" and then calls her boss. Her boss said they're too busy so to not take us. Again, I HAD AN APPOINTMENT 5 DAYS PRIOR. So I told her that I don't want a spa there anymore due to what she was telling me. She was so rude and tried kicking us out. However, I do not feel you comprehended what the issue was as your response did not address the actual issue that occurred. I DID tip and the receipt DID ask for tip amount. I verbally let you know prior to the service I'd be tipping on my card so why would you charge me before the service knowing that's how I would be tipping. If I could put lower than 1 star, I would. Made an appointment, drove from an hour away (after speaking with the owner on the phone directly) only to be told I had to pay extra for the service I booked. Workers did not speak very much English, and all looked like they did not know what to do. They called the owner (the same one that I spoke to) and put the phone on speaker phone. She would not let me speak, and continued to YELL at me over the phone and say that I need to pay more money for the service (the same one I had booked WITH HER over the phone.
