Rip off. The Riverside location burned down during COVID, hmm? This place continued to deduct monthly while not offering services. They stopped answering phones. They reopened, limited the number of services you could use. We collected way to many credits and couldn't use enough to ever come close to catching up. They cancelled our recent appointments because of training, charged the monthly and sold to Hand and Stone. Now, Hand and Stone says they have no access to Green's records, they raised monthly, changed policies limiting use. This will take litigation to resolve because they are unresponsive, unreasonable and untrustworthy. All those who have same problem, let's unite for some form of Justice. At bare minimum, review and let all know the truth. read more

First let me start off and say that my massage was amazing. Bianca, attended to my trouble areas, asked me questions and her customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, I can't leave a 5 star review due to other reasons. I'm leaving 4 stars due to her ONLY! The issue that I have with Green spa management team and owner are due to the following reasons. Their alkaline water machine was out of order. They didn't have any other water EXCEPT for tap. Not filter water, but TAP that they offered. The machine has been out of service for 2 WEEKS. I'm disappointed with the management and owner. You would think they would've taken the initiative to purchase 8oz-16oz cases of water from Costco, Sam's club or a regular grocery store due to the area heat warning for the last couple of weeks. It's been in the high 90's up to 106 degrees. After my massage, I went into their sauna room. There was a sign in the room warning about the importance of staying hydrated while using the sauna. I had no issues with massage green spa until this past few weeks when they decided to change to Hand & Stone. However, I did email them during covid when we couldn't make appts because they were closed. I got no response and they didn't even bother to send emails to their customers and continued to charge. Could not get a hold of them by phone either. This past week I got a letter saying they are switching to Hand & Stone beginning Oct 1st. I went to cancel but also wanted to see how many previous credits I had because it was accumulating. Samantha said since they have already switched over to Hand & Stone they have no record or history of my credits or what has been used but I get 1 credit transferred over to use. They also said since I am canceling it will take 30 days and that they will charge us for next month, at the new price of $79. That is not right. I think they are making up stories and taking our money because they don't want to refund us what they owe. They should have sent everyone invoices on what everyone has paid, and used and what is left to be used! I do hope we can band together to figure out a solution to get our refunds. read more

I've been a customer for 7 years and the new owners took all my massage credits and ripped me off with their new pricing that wasn't supposed to take effect until Oct 1st. Today I went to the massage appointment. The front desk is so rude. I do not recommend any of you try to come to this office at all. As a responsible and professional business practice, business should have responsibility to let your client know all details about your appointment especially it is new customer and use this way to welcome them instead of letting them come in to the place and push them to work with a male massage therapy with a surprise. Also the front desk is no help but pushing me to accept the arrangements and let me know there is no refund since I had paid. This is horrible experience I had in the last 30 years in my life. I've never really understood the hype about massages. But after this experience I may just be converted! I used a Groupon to get a deal on a one hour massage and sauna treatment plus I used the yelp check in to get aromatherapy. When I arrived the front desk person had the sauna ready to go for me- it was nice to have a while to wind down before the massage and there is entertainment like music and movies if you want. I brought my ereader and just chilled... or warmed I guess... till it was time for my massage. Marquita did an amazing job. I'm kind of small and I think people are sometimes afraid they'll hurt me with too much pressure, but she wasn't afraid to get in there and loosen up all the knots. I was sore the next day but it was totally worth it! She was very professional and had great communication the whole time. I'm glad I didn't pay for the aromatherapy as it was kind of like choosing a scent at the car wash. They just put it on the blanket near your nose, so you smell the scent you choose. It was nice to have for free though! Overall a great experience. My only negative feedback is that I wish they had a sweetener available for the tea in the waiting area. read more

This place is very crooked. I was advised by my massage therapist that they have over 600 memberships which is causing a typical membership person to not be able to get their monthly massage and if you cancel you lose all your credits so you have to keep paying the $69.95 a month to preserve and save the credit you've already paid that you've been unable to use because they have no appointments available, but every three months. Today is October 29. I cannot get an appointment until December 30. And they keep charging my monthly fee and I will lose over $600 in credit if I don't keep paying the $69.95 a month which I cannot use because there's no massage appointments available. read more

Since the switch to hand & stone they have lost all access to gift cards and previous credits. They failed to notify their clients of this change and now I am out $170 because they're saying my giftcard is no longer valid after the switch. I have multiple pre paid massages stacked up that I can't use. Beware the fine print on the wellness plan contract!!!! If you cancel the plan you do not get your pre paid massages!!! Normally I like this company and have had great customer service and a wonderful experience. But today my wife and I went to the Carona branch for a couples massage. The facility was good and clean however the masseuse who was to treat me asked me a few questions and when I asked about a deep tissue she gave me a 10 min lecture on why she can't give me a deep tissue massage. She was very condescending and unprofessional. My wife and I decided to leave. This was a very uncomfortable situation and I didn't appreciate being talked to in that manner. The manager did offer to swap the masseuse with the person who was servicing my wife however we were made so uncomfortable. This place has gone down hill since Covid and definitely do not recommend coming to this location! read more

I have been a member for about 2 years. In the beginning I was quite pleased. At the time there were two aestheticians. For about a year or more there is only one aesthetician. She is usually booked a week or more in advance. So needless to say I can't get a facial. This has become increasingly frustrating because I have addressed it several times. The receptionists responses are to go to the Temecula location. That's inconvenient. Next concern is their app is terrible. This too I have addressed. It's difficult to schedule appointments through the app as it always tells me that I don't have a credit card on file. According to one of the receptionist, their internal system doesn't communicate well with the app. The best part of Message Green is there is not a long term contractual obligation and I can add family members. For the time being Massage Green is ok. I would discontinue if a better deal presented itself. read more

Got a massage today from Bianca. Incredible! last week had Brianna and also great! I don't get massages to "feel fluffy and pampered". I get them because I suffered a spinal break. This causes muscle issues and pain. These two girls do incredible work, listen to your needs, and put effort into giving you a massage targeted at your areas of concern. I came here and got a package with sauna and 60 min massage. We went into the sauna first and eventually realized it was time for our massages. We found someone to ask 7 min past our scheduled time. She never came back with any answer but about 5 min later our masseuses call came in. When we were getting ready for the massage my masseuse apologized for being late because her previous client was late. No biggie. When the massage was over, I noticed we only had a 45 min session. I asked the front desk if it was only 45 min and she agreed. It was not my fault the last client was late but yet I got a shorter massage because her next client after me was already waiting? The Corona location recently changed to Hand & Stone. I have been a member for several years (massage green). The letter they sent explaining the change said changes would occur on Oct 1st. It also said all credits (I had 13) would transfer over to Hand & Stone to be used as a one-hour massage per credit. This is NOT what has happened. I have been using my credits but found out had 5 of my credits were literally erased. I asked twice to speak to the franchise owner and/or manager. Both times, neither was present. Today I asked for the contact info for both only to be told they didn't know the name of the new owner and had no way to contact the manager. I've cancelled my membership, which they did immediately and without question. I refuse to do business with a company that misleads their customers by not following through with the change over in the manner they said would occur. I'm really not happy they deleted some of my credits instead of carrying them over as they said they would! A red flag is definitely thrown when their employees don't know the name of the franchise owner and have no way to contact the manager. read more

Do not sign up for a membership. You can't ever make an appointment for yourself or two same day. Couples massage or a couple of days in advance. They never have enough staff and they continue to bill you even if your credits are accumulating. I have tried 10 times in the last couple months to get a manager to call me and will probably end up i a small claims court for false advertising. Please note I have also called in advance and still not able to be accommodated with my daughter. Whatever the response is from the manager who has never called me after leaving several messages it's interesting to see the response you get on yelp. read more

I've had a membership at Massage Green since they opened. The massage therapists have all been fantastic and professional for the most part. The estheticians are great too. Three stars because the membership is difficult to use as appointments are not readily available for working moms the past year or so. Up until 2020, I was able to make appointments that fit within my working mom schedule. On average, I only had to wait a week or two. That is no longer the case. They have been willing to work with me in various ways to help use up my at one point 20 plus credits for massages. Unfortunately, it takes me an average of 6 weeks to get an appointment in the evening or on a weekend. So, buyer beware. You may be paying for a membership you cannot use monthly. read more

I was highly disappointed this last time I was there. I made an appointment to be seen by a specific massage therapist as I always schedule. I was surprised to be called in by someone else. So as to not hurt anyone's feelings I didn't say anything till after the massage where I took it up with the front desk personnel. I had an amazing full body deep tissue body massage by Marquita and she delivered phenomenal results. I have been sore and knotted up for weeks and she was able to get them all out; from my head to my feet. I also experienced infrared sauna and it was so amazing a very different from the sauna that you use at the gym. It was 156 degrees in my infrared sauna and I was completely relaxed and breathing free and easy. I will be a member and enjoying a monthly massage for an excellent price. In addition, when I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and positive energy. I highly recommend Massage Green Spa for your next full body massage and infrared sauna experience. This review is for the the mismanagement of the Massage Green to Hand and Stone switch. I had at least 11 credits when they switched over and was told I had ONE credit. They won't answer the phone anymore and the manager is OF NO HELP and impossible to speak to. It appears many other people have had the same issue. This is not honest or fair and you should be ashamed of ripping off your loyal customers as I was a customer since day one of Massage Green, and paid all my monthly premiums even when you closed for a year during COVID. YOU NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND FIGURE THIS OUT!! I have repeatedly asked for a print out of all my massages so I could compare it to all my payments and have been told multiple times I would get it emailed but yet I never do. When you walk in they say they don't have access to the previous records and need to talk to the manager-the one who's impossible to speak to! read more

We recommend them both! They were extremely attentive and kind. It was a pleasant experience for both of us. The individual sauna rooms are a huge plus! Long post alert but it's been 9 months now of HELL with this establishment. Not to mention I've been a customer with massage green for years. In May of 2018 I had called and spoke to a manager about canceling my membership do to the fact that I was in a medical facility and would be for a couple of months and wouldn't be able to afford the membership any longer. The manager explained i would need to come in to cancel or print out the cancelation form and fax it in... once again I explained for medical reasons I would not be able to come in let alone use a computer, she seemed to "understand" and agreed to cancel the membership.. Fast forward to a few months later and massage green is calling me stating I had not paid for that month and needed payment... how is this possible if my account was "cancelled"? The manager was suppose to have cancelled but they continued to charge my account. I call immediately and explain the situation and of course a couple weeks later a new manager finally Calls to tells me "we see here that she explained to you to come in and cancel in person". As much as I tried to explain what I was told and my circumstances massage green did not care nor want to help in ANYWAY to make this work. I had about 8 massages saved onto this account, I asked for gift cards or any type of money back and the manager said "unfortunately corporate says we have to stick to the policy but you can still keep your account open and use the massages". Okay so I agree and decided since my mother in law is on my account and goes in every two weeks for a massage that I would gift her those massages for her christmas / birthday and put her card on file, manager Brittany agreed and said that would be fine.... fast forward to today and my mother in law calls me to say that every time she calls to make an appointment she always has issues with Brittany and that they are wanting to charge her non member price $54 something ... How is this possible once more that I need to call AGAIN to sort this out? So I call and explained from the very beginning the situation and I was lucky enough to speak with the manager Brittany.. yay! She now told me that corporate stopped my account in September and I would need to pay $54 something to be a member again! I was a customer for years and my account membership was stuck at $39 a month, so disappointing that they can't help at all. I explained to them my medical conditions and they did nothing but make the situation worse. I have given this company the benefit of the doubt for almost a year now and even took the short end of the stick by agreeing to still give them my money and keep my account open so we can at least use the massages that I paid for but they are a terrible establishment and do not know how to run a business. read more

I have been a contract based customer for several years at the Riverside location. The location closed due to a fire, and there have been no updates or communication with customers. I have to drive to Corona 20-30 minutes on the weekends for appointments unless I want to sit in traffic after work and double the drive time to get there. I have to book appointments at least 8 weeks in advance. I had an appointment today that I made 2 months ago. 10 minutes before i was going to leave my house I get a text message saying the therapist wasn't available, and my appointment was cancelled. If I had cancelled same day, they would have kept my money. What do I get? If I didn't have so much money tied up in credit I would cancel immediately. I Their lack of customer service, and inability to schedule appointments that are honored is astonishing. All the receptionist could say was that she is sorry. As soon as I can spend my credits down (if I can ever schedule an appointment), I'm out. Every time I ask about the Riverside location they say they don't have a reopening date. I would NEVER have signed up for the service if it wasn't up the street from my house. They haven't held up their end of the bargain, but I am bound by the contract. Nice work if you can get it. Since there is no contact information on their website for the manager or owner - I would LOVE to hear from them based on this review. I received a gift certificate for Christmas and wanted a 90 minute massage so when I called to schedule the appointment Brittney said that she had 430 available or 6 o'clock available. Whenever I call to make an appointment my call is always picked up by an answering machine. In addition, after leaving a message, I never receive a call back. It is always a hit and miss to speak with someone. The other branches that I call always pick up their phone and/or call back when a message is left. Talk about terrible customer service. Horrible! I'm not sure how they got such good reviews. I booked a 1hr couples massage to congratulate my bf on his new job and the massage only lasted 40 MINUTES! I know, I timed it. There was a digital clock in the room. I came in early too! I went to the bathroom right when I got in and my bf told me they missed me so I told the receptionist right away and waited for them to come back. TIME: 4:15-4:55 Started late AND ENDED EARLY! WTF? THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! On top of that my masseuse was obviously new, she kept fumbling and there was NO PRESSURE. Just rubbing stones all day! My bf and I could've done that to ourselves at home LOL. And for some reason she kept using the SAME stones for multiple parts on my body, eventually she was rubbing COLD stones on me! Then lastly, when the receptionist asked us how much we were tipping, yes she asked. She was appalled we were only paying 13%! She kept repeating the amount out loud like there was something wrong! Well YEAH YOU ONLY GAVE ME 40 MIN WHEN I PAID FOR 60. YOU'RE LUCKY IM TIPPING! Walked out UNSATISFIED and felt NO DIFFERENT! If anything I felt more stressed we just paid 90$ for a whacked up short massage! Never going back. read more

I was in today for the first time at this spa. First off. Parking is rediculous. I had to park across the street at Walmart. I entered the spa and the girl that greeted me was not so friendly. Super attitude. She gave me paperwork and sent me to another room. She then brought in more paperwork and said "I'll be your therapist so you have time". That's about all that was said to me. I brought it back to he and I got a "give me 4 minutes"..... Ok. About 15 min later (keep in mind this is now after my session should have started) another girl, not the one who says she will he my therapist comes to get me And says she's replacing the other girl. Ok. So I get in the room, then on the table and wait some more. When the therapist comes in she forgets a towel so has to leave again. So my hr massage started probably 15-20 min late. The massage itself was just ok. Nothing special. I then go to pay. Expecting the introductory rate and get overcharged by $10. So then they have to refund and recharge me. Overall. Not a great experience. I will go to massage envy in the future. read more
