Made an appointment for my mom's birthday for Saturday 8/6 @ 3pm. My mom's massage therapist is Patty. The staff were very attentive in checking her in & didn't bother her too much with a hard sell on a monthly subscription. The complaint is that the session was not a full hour, the therapist ended at 3:37pm and my mom was walking out the door by 3:45pm. I understand wanting to finish a few minutes to rinse off, give client a few mins to get their bearings and put clothes back on, but a FULL 20+ MINS??? Massage Envy & PATTY are cheating paying clients off and turning off new ones to get regular massages. We paid $80 for a full hour massage not a 30min massage.... Update 8/15/22 - management reached out via email on 8/12 to provide an explanation regarding the shorted time. While I appreciate the effort taken to review of camera time stamp, I still don't believe that the actual hand-to-body massage was within the "hour" that was advertised. My mom mentioned that the actual massage ended at 337pm, the email states that according to the "camera" Patty left the room at 346pm- i guess my mom's a liar according to their "camera" lol absolutely laughable, poor excuse from management...no accountability.... read more

The facial was amazing but be very careful of the very fine print . I booked online for a facial I thought was $65 . Since it was only a few more dollars than Ulta, I decided to try it. I live in Sunnyvale and like to shop and spend my money locally . The facial was good and relaxing . She got all my trouble spots. I was ready to book another one in 6 weeks . When I got ready to pay and the bill was $95 not $65 . Apparently I had visited for a massage in 2017 so I don't get the $65 rate . Who knew? I questioned it but was basically told too bad, you should have read. I get it . I should have read at the very bottom of my screen in fine print . I just want to alert others . They lost a potential good customer because I don't like getting duped . read more

Therapists should be trained to be quiet during the massage session and let the client relax. An occasional, "How is this pressure," is fine. However, Patty talks entirely too much and probes into your personal business when all I want is to enjoy the massage. I gifted a massage to my son recently, and he had the same complaint. He said it would have been a perfect experience if only Patty had taken a cue and been silent. read more

My therapist Chad is a wizard. But he can be a but condescending. It is worth it as he has unique skills. Chad however does not make up for the poor service otherwise. I was planning on doing a membership and the employee was giving me false information to join. Luckily I caught it on the contract. But even after that the employee continued with the misinformation. His manager had to correct him but that was after I signed. They did say they canceled my membership app. We will see. I'm still emailing corporate though. read more

Ok so yesterday I made an appointment for a massage and facial. I have a membership and have for about a year and a half. This morning, I wake up to my 4 year old daughter being very sick, fever, throwing up and sore throat and I had to take her to the doctor. I call to cancel and I'm told their policy is to still charge me for one of the services which is $65. I find this to be very unprofessional and shows how little they care about their customers especially their long time customers. I will be canceling my membership here. Let me start by saying this is the first review I have ever done on a business. My husband and I went for a massage at this place. We both have had many massages at another business. We enjoyed our massages and while checking out decided to join the membership program.. we were given all the information and set up our automatic payments to be taken out, and was told we was members starting that day.We decided to make our next appointment for the next month before we left. We went in for our appointment today was taken to the "members only" waiting area. Came out of our rooms and was asked how we wanted to pay. I said we have a membership. We was then told that our membership does not start until the 5th of March . I asked why we wasn't told that when we made the appointment with the same lady that set up our membership . Long story short we was made to feel like it was OUR fault for not knowing that. I couldn't believe the way we was being talked to, but instead of interrupting everyone's massage I choose to have them go ahead and charge our membership fee today. Once I got home I called and the same lady/girl Maria answered the phone again she kept telling me that they fully explained the membership. I asked why they would you not tell us that our appointment today would not be covered under the membership ? why would I make a appointment 7 days prior to it being covered if I was told that?? She basically once again made it to be our fault . I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager, I asked to speak to her manager and she told me her manager would not speak to me as she is a district manager and is not around. I asked for her number and she said she couldn't give it to me. I ended up canceling our membership ( her suggestion) I can honestly say that makes me think we was not valued as customers . Although we really enjoyed both massages by Han and Janice and would have continued to be members. Maybe the staff needs to be trained a little bit better. Question if we were not members yet. I can't say enough about the service I received. From the front desk ladies to my therapist Jerry. I had bad pain in my right shoulder. Jerry took the time to explain whats was going on with my shoulder muscles and how it needs to be treated. If you want a deep tissue massage he is your guy. Jerry has a great personality and made me laugh a few times. I felt very comfortable and taken care of. My husband I were so impressed we sign up for membership on the spot. I was greeted IMMEDIATELY when I walked in the door and assisted to the back waiting area. My spa experience began immediately... with the soothing snowy scene on the monitor and the quiet low light ambiance. I was in a trance. I love ABSOLUTELY LOVE...LOVE...LOVE the warm sheets....I felt so relaxed & at ease. Most importantly I LOVED Kira...she was/is amazing. She explained areas of concern as she addressed them; even taking time to show involved muscles on the anatomy picture on the wall. I relaxed & talked; Kira made me feel at home. Great place came in for a couples message with my husband today with no apt they got us right in savanna was very nice and explained everything so great to us Daniel messaged my husband he loved it fell asleep and my message with Jaclyn was amazing getting all the knots out very relaxing... This place just ripped me off big time. I had a gift card for a 1.5 hour massage, 30 min facial and all tips included. But because I had been to one of their other locations years ago and she said because I was not a member I only got a 1 hr massage and that left a $10 tip. Janice gave was good but I could not get it across to her that I didn't want to be head lower than body and my neck bent backwards was killing me. So if she could have gotten me comfortable then she was really decent. The only good part was when she faced me up and worked my neck over. We were of like minds in many things. Very expensive for a less than 35 minute message. I booked a 60 minute relaxation message for 3:00 and got there 10 minutes early. Waited . . . waited . . . and finally he came to get me - 15 minutes late. Message was nice, but at 7 minutes before 4:00 he said he was done and I could follow him up to the front to pay, which I did after I dressed. Taking away the time it took me to undress and dress, I figured the message lasted just under 35 minutes and the cost was $79.95. The girl up front asked if I'd like to join and I said not a chance since the cost was ridiculous for the amount of time he spent on the message. She asked if I was late and I told her no, that he was. She said "sorry, would I like to add a tip to the payment?" Fat Chance. All in all, very unimpressed. Will not go back. read more

I called to make an appointment to the location in mesquite since my normal location was booked. The rep that I spoke with on the phone first was very polite and nice and helpful and I scheduled my appointment. No less than 2 minutes later I got a phone call back from another girl from the mesquite location, and she asked if the previous girl went over prices. I told her I knew the prices and my husband had bought me a three month membership. She said it is normal policy to pay ahead of time before the appointment, I told her I would wait and she paused and said, "so you don't want to pay now?", I said no again. I said, I've never paid for a massage service before it has been rendered. She said well I can guarantee the price today, but I may not be here tomorrow when you come in so the price is not guaranteed??? I guess she thought I was new or naive but you never pay ahead of time, you give the the card # just case you don't show up. That I understand, but never pay before hand and the cost may change and I need to lock it in? I have a membership, this is not a one time visit. I will stick to my garland location from now on and I called my usual location and made an appointment for another day. read more
